Yall really left out the BMW E36 -Its reasonably reliable -You get tons of options to choose from(318,325i,315is,328i,328is) -Parts are everywhere for them(bet you can't say that for a Benz or Audi) -Clean stock ones go for $2k-$3k and clean built ones go for $4k or you can buy a shitbox for $1.5k and build it up (best option if you're mechanically adept) Get em now while they're cheap because they are starting to see an increase in interest
Look at the tires, the wider and more aggressive the more expensive. First tire change could cost you over a grand. Plus the drifting and burnouts are super cool until you have to replace them. These will send you to the poor house. With all the choices now in transportation get a cheap car, not a foreign luxury car, if you really need it. Uber, bus, rideshare or bike, then when you have gotten rid of the student loans, buy a more than 5k beater that you wont have to stick a ton of cash in, if that's what you want. Otherwise invest the excess cash for retirement. And I don't mean at 70 retire at 45 and travel the world or work on your home business.
I can definitely attest the to G35 being a neck breaker. I got my 05’ coupe for a steal of $4,000 and in about 10 months already put 14,000 miles and she is now at 141,000. It’s a plus that even some car guys don’t even know what’s under the hood and are surprised that it shares 350z internals.
The G35/7 sedan seems underrated as heck ngl. Maybe it's cause its coupe counterpart is just more powerful and, as you've said, effectively a 350Z/370Z with more creature comforts.
What's up Brad?! I think my favourite car on this list is definitely the Lexus GS. just look at what you can do with that car. from the body kits, to the rims. and lowering this great car. whenever I see a tricked out Lexus GS it makes me want one. honestly.
2001 VW GTI 1.8T 3inch turbo back exhaust, strut tower, SSQ BOV no tune 200HP+. It was a great engine i drove mine across Canada twice. Biggest bill i ever had was 300 bucks for a coolant leak. I did the A/C my self or that would have been more. Still driving VW.

Just found a hyundai azere with 158K for $1,800 no issues. I think i found a gem and the A/C is ice cold so its win win, not many around where im from in nyc.
The only thing that people should be warned about the G is the weaker valve cover gaskets, and the oil consumption. The oil consumption is easy to fix, get an oil catch can, but the valve covers, could be a little expensive and hard to do if not done correctly, and you sometimes cannot reuse the valve covers since they break easy for a 16 year old car. Learned that on my own 🤦♂️
I paid over 5K for my new car, but it is a blast to drive. I picked up a 2013 Acura TL on 5/13/22. I have plans on doing a partial wrap on the hood, ceiling, and trunk lid for a custom look, and other touches. I may even do a straight-piped twin exhaust.
Japanese muscle car: Infiniti M56x Sport Luxury sedan with a 5.6 liter V8 that has 420HP and 417FPT with all wheel drive! Reliable as all hell, and if you remove the mufflers and the secondary cats it sounds bad ass!!
Probably the Acura! I live in Wisconsin so winters can be rough. So the Lexus, Infiniti , and Chrysler are out. Also the expensive nature of the Mercedes vw, and Audi repairs put me off. That just leaves the Acura. It looks cool, drives great, has all the equipment I’ll ever need, and won’t break down all the time. If and when it does eventually break, the mechanical components are from a Honda Accord so repair costs are low. If u live in a place where it doesn’t snow, I’d be choosing between the 2jz Lexus GS, the RWD Infiniti G 35, and the Acura TL.

My (probably quite risky) advice to everyone who wants a true luxury car is to aim for the skies and don't settle for small, basic cars. Just do your research on the model that you want, before you buy it. I have recently bought myself a tidy Jaguar S-type 4.0 V8 and every other car that I have ever owned feels like an old Fiat 126/Trabant in comparison (including a BMW E39 530D Wagon). The Jag is cheap, big, properly fast, it has a glorious angry V8 sound with an aftermarket exhaust, it handles surprisingly good (many times better than the E39 that I had). It's very easy to drift (with the traction control off, ofcourse) and it's very tight and easy to control, especially for a car that weighs 1795kgs (~3957lbs) in EU spec. I realised that I have never driven a real car before and I hugely regret that I didn't decide to buy a V8 luxury car sooner. The parts for a V8 Jaguar are quite cheap. I wouldn't have cared either way, because the Jag doesn't need any parts, atleast for now. It has around 225k kms (~139 809 miles) on the clock and it's tight as a drum, despite Jaguar's reputation for poor reliability.
I have a mercedes w203 but smaller engine c220 diesel with 150horses Still got good acceleration and is very good on highway. Very good car. I recommend! In my country they are a lot more expensive but i have the authority to drive one.
Getting my first car next year my amount to work with should be at least 20k if an emergency doesn’t happen. Suggestions on what car I should get? I like sports cars and high horse power.
Why didn’t you mention the V8 for the Lexus. I have my original GS430 and all I did was put a Borla cat back exhaust and a K&N cold air intake and it’s been a new beast every since.

I have a mercedes w203 but smaller engine c220 diesel with 150horses
Still got good acceleration and is very good on highway.
Very good car. I recommend!
In my country they are a lot more expensive but i have the authority to drive one.
Getting my first car next year my amount to work with should be at least 20k if an emergency doesn’t happen. Suggestions on what car I should get? I like sports cars and high horse power.
Maybe yes it’s slightly more expensive but a Toyota 86 would also do very well on this list for its price to performance
Why didn’t you mention the V8 for the Lexus. I have my original GS430 and all I did was put a Borla cat back exhaust and a K&N cold air intake and it’s been a new beast every since.
The screen shot for the Audi was the 1.8 turbo not the 3.0 v6
