    This video should watch EVERBODY! You are right Derek. How much we drink that much we will feel hydrated! It's important to live healthy life in every way we can. You inspired me and I enjoyed watching this. So thanks for making my Thursdays feel better.

    My tops would be 64 oz and I feel so much better when I get at least that much in my body. It lubricates the joints too. Sometimes when you are tired, you are just dehydrated. They say that over 75% of the elderly in nursing homes are dehydrated. That is so sad to me. Everybody needs H20.

    I had acne growing up since middle school, I would start wearing make up and always felt embarrassed,also hated how I looked so I wore make up all through high school. I stopped wearing make up until last year, now my face is cleared up. Also I drink up to 3 bottles of water at work, at home like 4 more.

    Great video! Drinking water can become addictive, I drink around a gallon a day.
    Hopefully one day you’ll come back to dancing with the stars as a judge, that show really needs some one like you who uplifts the dancers, love the way you judge on world of dance, it’s very enjoyable to watch(love the positivity) as well as your new CZcams channel !

    I think you are the first person to make complete sense (to my mind). I'm a questioner who knew there was a link between fungus (sugar) and cancer. There is also a hormonal factor. Your video makes perfect sense. Thank you for providing that link that other people could not....

    Just to remind everyone: it’s also possible to over hydrate. This is particularly true if you have any issue with your kidneys, heart, pituitary gland, and liver that would keep you from excreting water excess - this could result in a lowering of sodium and be potentially fatal. As always, make sure that you consult your doctor if this is the case for you! Health, love, and peace to all!

      How does your liver keep you from excreting water excess? Doesn’t your liver run on keeping hydrated and water is it’s “best friend” to flush toxins and help it along?

    So many colleagues and family members I know almost never drink water except during a meal. Even then many have alcohol, coffee, sodas instead. I do not know how they function. Thanks Derek for laying it all out. I imagine those who are opposed to drinking a lot of water may not watch! The only downside for me, being older, is restroom breaks are frequent.

    I've been struggling with getting enough water lately and as I've upped my exercise regime I've been feeling more dizzy and light headed! If I chug water will it pass straight through or will it still hydrate? Very informative video thanks Derek!

      You need electrolytes with water. Salt, potassium and magnesium.

    As Derek mentions try adding some fresh lemon, (or lime) juice to your water a few times a day. It helps to make you less acidic and more alkaline. There are a plethora of benefits. The info is easy to find.

    Thoughts which occurred to me while I watched this: as someone who was running regularly early in the morning it began to get warm and humid & I knew I was going to have to be extra diligent about staying hydrated if I was sweating so much. Then I ended up breaking my hip and that solved that problem; I could barely even walk. It is true that the human body works much more efficiently if there is plenty of water and not a lot of sugar or caffeine in it. I need to get some sort of filter/pitcher arrangement; we have decent tap water where I live but the apartment complex that I am in just switched over to town water and I don't trust it. At least it is not as bad as some places, where you can really taste the chlorine and people have to buy their own water and either leave plastic bottles all over, or have a delivery truck come all the time. If you can't afford to do that, well then, too bad.

    I use to drink over two litres of diet pop but two months ago I switched to drinking water. I still have on average about 24 ounces of diet pop a month however from where I was it was a huge step. I’m not healthy by any means however I’m learning and trying to keep making those baby steps. And now I drink about 60 ounces of water maybe a little more per day!

    I agree with you Derek. My skin is much better, I am less tired, I am losing weight only by drinking a lot of water. I'm less hungry. 1 problem you have to go to the toilet a lot. And yes I also drank water while watching this video.

    I love putting ground turkey in my salad. Or even my in meatballs or tacos. It replaces ground beef which is not really good for you. You can also use it as a turkey burger.

    It’s also important to drink that’s non acidic. A lot of bottled waters are more acidic than even tap water.

    My problem is for some reason I find it very difficult to force myself to drink when I don't feel thirsty. And most of the time I just don't feel thirsty. I can literally eat a whole meal and, depending on the food, not feel thristy. I actually forget to have a drink with dinner sometimes. My body is messed.

    That would be 115 Oz of water if we do one oz of water to One Lb. of body weight.
    I try but it’s difficult to get 3 liters of water in me daily. I don’t drink while eating and I like to wait a hour or two after I eat to drink more water.

      No he said half your body weight in ounces, so it would be 1 ounce per 2lbs. In your case about 57.5 ounces a day (half of 115).

      1 litre is about 34 ounces. So Derek's 80 ounces a day would be approximately 2.5 litres.

    How does this translate into KG and Liters🤔😅 Im SO confused rn😅 cant imagine drinking half my weight in liters. That has to be deadly😂 I aint gonna be drinking 27 liters forget it. Haha lol. I drink atleast 2 liters a day cuz that what doctors say to drink here in Norway.

      The internet has many converters for any measurements. This way you can add metrics for weight into pounds and ounces into liters then go from there.
