- It must include:
1. Contact information
2. Career Summary
3. Skills
4. Work Experience
5. Education
- It should be a maximum of 2 pages
- Focus on providing highlights, do not vomit everything up.
- It should be easy to read and formatting style should be consistent.
- Avoid writing long paragraphs and not small font sizes.
- Start a sentence with an action verb (Increased the customer satisfaction score by providing exceptional customer experience).
- Don’t waste valuable space. Only list the experience that is relevant to the rule that I am applying to.
- Quantify achievements ( Increased the customer satisfaction score from 85% to 95% by providing exceptional customer experience).
- Only include relevant and specific skills (Do not write: Hard working, honest, etc. Since those are skills that are already expected).
- Do not include the word “Resume” or “CV” on top.
- Do not provide references upfront on the resume.
- Don’t use same generic resume for all the job applications.

For instance, in my current job I have a specific role as a finance and admin officer. But at my previous job I had no specific role, I was a program support juggling from finance, to admin, to monitoring and evaluation to project supervisor, etc. What will you advise, please?

You can apply in FSW stream depending on your profile and experience. You will need to figure out the NOC code and if it has the skill level of 0, A or B you can apply in FSW stream given you meet other requirements such as- at least one year of full time paid exp, at least a Band 7 in Ielts General/CELPIP-.

You will need to get recommendation letters from the owners/managers/ and clients of that company. In addition to that you will need proof of salary payment, such as pay slips, proof of taxes you filed while you were working there, your appointment letter from that job, etc. Any thing and everything you can get to show as proof of employment.
And should be attach a cover letter with the resume or cover letter file should be send separately????

Hello, Do you suggest to have a simple resume or digital resume with decent colors like grey & white background.
Simple, clear is better, up to 2 colors is okay, bold, italic is also okay. You don't want to over do it because if you put in excess formatting the software might not read it well in the Company's job portal unless you are uploading a PDF file.

I understand in such a profession it is a little difficult to quantity, but you can talk about average class score improvements, attendance, and extra class projects for kids that you initiated and how it helped your students.

Try to stick to Chronological if possible. Also since you are into designing field you can have a portfolio of your work- like photos or video of projects you completed. If you have a website/ or anywhere digitally where you have your work for display you can add that link to the resume.
