Im thinning about buying the waterbox marine X. Since you have the 60g version. If you can choose again. Obviously the 90g is more expensive but if you have the budget, Would you choose 60g or 90g? And what would be your reasons?
How exciting! Looking into getting a waterbox frag tank as my third aquarium… they are so beautiful. That skimmer is awesome. I ran it on my 55 gallon and it worked great!
Love your set-up. I'll be watching for updates as this is the waterbox model I would like, but have never set up a sump, so it seems a little daunting. :-) You did a great job!!
Far out Brussel sprout. Hahahah spat my drink out at that point - great video I’m currently considering this tank and I think after watching your video I’m sold
Good video. I had wondered what steps you would take for adding the water and setting the sump as I'm going to be doing the same. Hour many litres an hour can the return pump do ?
As always another awesome video, I'd personally try to find a different location for the heater if you can so it doesn't get accidently broken, it might even fit in your tanks Weir box out the way.
Yeah, it's getting wet! Congratulations on the start of the tank! 🎉🍾 I keep my fingers crossed that everything will turn out exactly as you imagine it and that you will always keep us up to date with videos, even if something doesn't work out! Your sponsors have given you high quality stuff, so let's get started. ☺️ You as a diy-enthusiast are afraid of a few small pipings? 😳...and yes, you have pronounced Eheim correctly! (And I wanted to ask in between, if this fits into the first chamber).😉😇 In case you are not sure, for refilling you have to make the marks on the return pump compartment. Water level changes only there, and in this small chamber quite quickly. Therefore, an ATO would be worth considering. Can you put some water and a few rocks from the big tank into the new tank to get started? Then you can start directly with corals and in about a week put the first fish...
Hehe thank you!! I’ll definitely continue to share the good with the bad! 😁🙌🙌 Haha yeah! Maybe after having a sump for a while plumbing won’t seem so daunting. I think it’s more the tank leaking that worries me haha, but you never know, might be DIY sumping before we know it 🤣😅😅 I ended up putting the heater in the first chamber too! I’ve been undecided as to weather to add rock from my big tank or not.. I have ich and also aiptasia (the fish keep at the aiptasia but I’m sure there’s still some in there) and was thinking maybe I’ll keep the new tank as clean of that stuff as possible 🤔🤔 Yes definitely going to look into a ato!
@@SimpleAquariumsLauren Oh, I'm sure you'll be a piping champion very quickly. Once you get started...😉 I'm dreaming right now about running the sump into the basement. There's a few feet of pipe coming my way.... Ok, I forgot about the disease. I'd be careful about that too. 🥴 Can you possibly "borrow" a few stones from a reefer friend? That would give your tank biology a nice boost. For the ATO, a look at Tunze might be interesting, they just introduced a new version a few days ago. I will then take a closer look if the sump does not move into the basement.
I’ve just setup my 60.2 and used your guide to help as the instructions are rubbish! Thanks! I’m struggling to find where the natural fill line should be? On the tank I guess just below the emergency overflow pipe but any ideas where the sump line should be? Or does it not really matter?

It would come down to what fish and corals you plan to keep I reakon. If you’re wanting bigger fish then go the bigger one. 😁🙌🙌
Thanks Lauren for a easy step-by-step guide to setting up a tank with a sump ❤ looking forward to the next video 👌👍
Thank you so much!! 🤩🙌🙌🙌
Great video! Your excitement and enthusiasm for the setup is amazing 😊
Thank you so much!! 🤩🙌🙌🙌

Thank you!! I’ve put it in the section where the water comes into the sump now, but more out the way there 😁🙌🙌🙌

Yeah just below the emergency line in the sump 😊🙌🙌 thank you 🤩
look into a ATO on that tank, will help you allot keeping levels stable
Will do for sure!! 😁🙌🙌
👍
What is the water level in the return chamber when running as Ive recently set mine up and need to put in the ATO sensor
In my video I posted yesterday you can see where I have my water line in it! 🤩🙌🙌🙌
Come on 10k!!
Hehehe yessss! 🤩🙌🙌🙌
What led light are you using on your new waterbox aquarium?
Think she has the maxspect jump 165
Yep Alex is right! It’s the maxspect jump L-165 😁🙌
@@SimpleAquariumsLauren Awesome. Thank you so much.
what type of rock is that? where can I get it
Not sure where you are located, but it’s Marco rock and I got mine from Aquarium Gallery in Perth 😊🙌🙌
Take some media and water from the other tank and you'll have a cycled new tank no need to wait.
Good luck
This is very true! Hehe thank you! 😁🙌🙌
Nice girl
U are gorgeous
