Hi Mitsy, I have just discovered your channel! Thank you for sharing your passion and wisdom. I'm in Alberta really considering a career change into aviation. I have an introductory flight which I am going to do in February and make a decision at that point. I've been networking and will be visiting a couple of flying schools too. Thanks for your encouragement through these videos, keep up the great work!

Quick question - I have heard Transport Canada are taking their sweet time assessing category 1 medicals. Do you know how long it is taking right now on average for new medicals assuming no medical issues? I've heard 6 months....

I learned to fly decades ago! Had my first "Official" lesson (with an actual CFI, not just a Pilot friend) in 1969. Soloed very early 70's. It was much easier and affordable back then!
Today it seems the whole government has combined just to keep the non-Millionaire "Private Pilot" out of the Sky!
Too bad too, because the US aviation industry used to be THE BEST on Earth.

Here is my advice. Understand exactly what is required in terms of studying for the knowledge exam. It is a ton of work. And it is not a 70% pass as she stated. It is 60% pass. A ton of boring useless information but you have to know it or no PPL.
