Carolina Wren dust bathing

In my backyard a small area of dirt has a few small shallow depressions, the result of birds dust bathing. As this Carolina Wren is demonstrating, dust bathing is an important part of its daily routine. The purpose of dust bathing is to help get rid of any parasites and to keep the feathers in pristine condition, for flight and insulation. Near the end of the clip she is joined a House Sparrow.
