💑 About Hercules Candy
Hercules Candy has been on Steve’s side of the family since 1910(ish). When he took over in the 70’s, he anticipated after 10 years of hard work, he could move the business out of the basement and into a real storefront. Unfortunately, it took until 2018 for that to happen, but hey at least it happened! Steve and Terry own the shop, Craig (the social media manager) is their son, Cara (wrapper and shipper extraordinaire who is poised to take over the shop one day) is their daughter and Leah (who doesn’t love being on camera and is very elusive) is their oldest daughter. Karen has been working for Hercules Candy since the twins (Craig and Cara) were about 6 months old and everybody else is a new recruit. Don’t forget to subscribe and hit the 🔔 for more videos!

I enjoy your videos and have picked up tips on candy making from them. Thank you.
But.
It was painful watching Julia mix the peanut butter cream.
That's one thing that continually drives me nuts about you guys. No one knows how or what kitchen equipment to use.
Like using a laddle to mix instead of a whisk and not doing it correctly, then either. Then, you use a whisk to sift corn starch instead of an actual sifter. Constantly, you guys misuse or don't use the correct equipment.
Hire a chef to consult or at least a cook, please, just someone who knows what and how to use basic kitchen equipment.
This is over 40 years of kitchen experience begging you.
WOW 😮
I’m so proud to have been here through the years watching this business grow! I recommend everyone go back and watch videos from the basement days. The love and comedy continues!❤
Thanks so much for supporting us for so long, Linda!
Me too, it’s amazing how they’ve grown.
Agreed! It's been really amazing watching this channel and it's popularity grow the business into such a thriving and recognized success, and it really feels great to know that, even if just in a small way, we have all helped. :)
The basement days have a special charm to them and Max was there, too.
@@piesusan17 Max was one of many workers who have helped make this one of the best parts of many people's days. He has never stopped being friends with the whole family!
Julia is like “can you just let me work?” 😂😂😂
Haha I was super tired this day😭
You, tired??? Nooooo way, Julia! 😂🎉❤❤❤@@juliafromhercules
Like me when Im hungover.
@@DrummerGrrrlI won’t let it happen again😂😭😭
😂 I felt that for her!
I honestly don’t want to ever be without these candy videos. So fun to watch! Julia is awesome to watch! She’s good at her candy making skills. So relaxing to watch. Thanks Julia!
Thank you!!!!!!
Sweet Karen. Does her work with such love and care.❤
Everytime I see creams being made, I immediately think of Max! Hey...Craig, can you do a Max update? A cameo would be so fun!
We recently moved and the only thing that got broken was one of our Hercules mugs it got a chip in it. 😢 I guess time to make an order.
By the way congratulations on making it to 800,000. ! proud to be one of many fans!
Was pleasure stopping in and meeting you, Terry! I was the big guy from buffalo, lol.. by the way. The potato chip bark was unbelievable!!!!😊
@herculescandy I love how your subscriber count is going up in 100’s count most two/three days…
Well deserved from those humble beginnings in the basement, which I love to watch over, esp when Caren is in them showing us how to wrap candies
🤍🍭🤍
Thanks so much!
My husband’s grandparents ran a candy store in Sterling, Illinois. He has a tiny apron from when he would work (eat chocolate) in the store. He says his favorite Easter candy that they made were called bird’s nests. They would hand mix coconut shreds with chocolate and make a nest and press small jelly beans in the center for eggs. They made them in milk chocolate and white. Have you ever made them?
I loved them. My Mom would use them as Easter decorations. So pretty and delicious💕
Love this family, they are wonderful!
Classic! Enjoyed it so much.
Thanks I needed this video 😊
So much more work goes into the making these eggs than I thought 😮 Thank you all ❤
Make small flat shape starch mold peanut butter bits, then mold chocolate shells, fill with marshmallow, stuff a peanut butter center in, and finish the back.
I love the sound of the creams being unmolded, brushed and dumped into their container. Love it!❤
My favorite family. This is always a joy to watch, no matter how many times I've seen cream eggs being made. Better hide those for Scott or make him an extra batch. 😂 I can see him walk out with that whole bunch of trays and munch on them somewhere outside. 😂😂 sorry Scott, but I love your heartfelt joy when you taste test. 😋 😂
We accidentally made a new addict 😂
Honestly tho, if there's any extra energy (ever?) Everyone staying after or smthn to make a bunch to share would be a great uh... Team-building activity we'll call it. Cameras or no, just seems like everybody loves em.
Love this candy community! Placed my first order last night from Florida! Can’t wait to give your products a try!
My Easter order is on the way! Wooot. I am excited! Thanks, everyone!
How to tell when you've had enough magic brownies: when the percussive rhythm of the enrober makes you hear a tune, then you start to dance, and next...giggle out loud. 🤭 A nice way to relax my old bones following many hours of repairing my garden fence and preparing the soil for planting soon. 🌱🌿
I agree with Scott...make the peanut butter creams all year long in other shapes and have the eggs for Easter. 😊
Yall should make a pop-rocks candied chocolate 😊 the fats in the chocolate will prevent it from sizzling until the consumer eats it 🎉😋
That would be an awesome video to watch as well ❤
Perfect timing for a candy video!!
I agree!
My husband and I are going on a road trip in April. This is one of my must see stops. I can’t wait!
Happy Anniversary to her for being there a year. Love watching yall make candy. It's relaxing and interesting.❤
Yummy 😋 they look delicious. ❤
I love to watching. Terri and Steve and everyone. At Hercules thank you. All. ❤
Not surr if anybody else wants it but what about a video where you show your mom getting all the foil and stuff used for wrapping or packing
I love to start with the first video and start over I do that during the week waiting for the next new video it reminds me of when I started watching years ago when they were still in the basement everything has really changed especially when they were sending 9 to 14 packages and 50 at Christmas to 150 now
I do the same. Love watching the basement videos.
You should do a peanut butter cream with a jam topping, like apricot, raspberry, strawberry, and grape. The tart of the jam might cut a little of the extra sweet PB. Just a thought. I haven’t seen anything like that. The egg mold could be filled with jam, set aside, and then add to PB cream to top the mold off.
These look amazing 😮
Omg they taste even more amazing!
You could do the marshmallow eggs as one half and peanut butter eggs as the other half. But, you could package them together and offer that as well as the halves separately.
I agree you should have these all the time!
I love you guys so much you guys make me so happy 😁 ❤
So happy it's Easter chocolate time!! Can't wait to buy a bunch of your dark marshmallow eggs. They are the best!!❤❤🍫
folks, look up cuberdons. A Belgium sweet they have (which translates as "nose" because of the shape). The triangular cone shape seems to be very similar to the cornstarch moulds you have in your starch room :) maybe an idea.....Raspberry creams but covered in chocolate...the Hercules twist to the nose :)
just orderd 4 of the peanut butter cream eggs, some watermelon hard candy and smores bark! im super pumped to finally try your amazing looking candy!
Have any of you thought of a chocolate-covered hazelnut creeme egg/candy? Kind of like a "Nutella" egg?
I NEED to go to bed(in UK it’s gone 10:30pm & I’m tired 😫😵💫😴) 😂
but I had to watch HC, knowing Caren would end the video… my favourite HC lady…😊
Good night all 🍭🤍🍭
I hope we didn't keep you up too late!
10.30pm!! I’m watching at 2.10am !!! 🇬🇧🐶
Have watched from beginning! Karen does a lovely job !! I’m a diabetic so just have to watch ! ❤ you guys!
4:17 Lime on it's own is fine, but Cherry Limeade is probably my favorite flavor!
watched this video and had to place an order!
Yum!!❤
I grew up in Altoona Pa where Gardner’s candy is. My mom got me an enormous pb melt away egg. It had to be at least 1/2 pound. I’d pick the chocolate off eat that first, then the pb center. I never wasted ANY of it!
I wonder if you could make a marshmallow peanut butter egg by dropping a mini marshmallow or two in the cornstarch mold before filling it with the peanut butter cream, then maybe plop another on the top of the chocolate while it is still warm from the enrober?
If by some chance you ever found the time to decorate the cream eggs you could cover them in white chocolate and use edible markers to decorate with.
That peanut butter eggs look Devine.
😂🤣😂 Craig! You sent my Google Nest hub off into a Webster's/Oxford's rant twice! Doubly hilarious hearing your device, because I have mine set to use the British accent, as well.
This comment needs more thumbs up, it did the same for me, and same voice too.
@Jerisa 😂🤣😂 Right?!? I would've thought there were more of us Nesters in the group.
I love watching these and wondering which one is mine.... or rather, which half dozen are mine....
you could make paint DIY eggs. make with white chocolate and provide small food coloring containers to "dye" the eggs.
Julia joined when Cooper was here, so he was doing some of the more difficult stuff ig. And now it's Julia's turn to learn the new thing! Gj Julia, and Karen and everybody
Heres a tip, when mixing the peanut butter in, use a whisk instead of a ladel. It mixes way easier and faster! Love your videos!
Yummmmmy!!😋😋🥰🥰
sunflower seed butter is something i need to try asap
My favorite chocolate is a Peanut Butter Daisy made by Purdy's Chocolate in Vancouver, Canada. They do small creams in the shape of a daisy and bars all year round and eggs at Easter. I live in Victoria, BC, and thankfully Purdy's has shops in many malls across Canada. 😁
That heavenly sound when you slice through it 🤤
I had to listen to that one more time 😅
Cinnamon, sprinkle of sugar with butter first toast tastes so good with a cold glass of milk.
Wow. I've been watching for a long time. since you trained with Terry and Max approximately six years ago at the basement. Warm regards from the Philippines. ❤🎉
We haven’t started planting peanuts in Georgia yet. A few more weeks.
I ordered the orange crème bunnies and they are so rich and delicious.
I'm glad you liked them so much!
Wot is the stick thingy for?? I love watchin ur videos
The stick in the cone Julia is pouring from opens/plugs the end to allow her to start/stop pouring the peanut butter cream.
Julie is awesome. She is a fast learner.
So many nut butters. The maple walnut sounded good but it would kill me. I'm allergic to walnuts. I'd have to do maple pecan or maple almond. Peanut butter is still favorite. I saw a comment that talked about pistachio butter, I'd like to try that. I love pistachios. These eggs look amazing. Great job, Julia! I love watching you all make candy, exciting because, candy, but relaxing too.
That is sweet thank you!
I love toast, just plain old butter too with a cup of tea. Great minds think alike. 😉
Nice 🎉❤
Maple walnut butter sounds good
Nice 🎉😊
Julie really needs to stop talking so much. Hahahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I really enjoy Craig's videos. The candy is so DELISH!
What do you mean, she’s not talking thaaat much at all😅
@@cordoesart I think that was the joke, because she was kinda quiet in parts of this video 😂
I agree, but you have to admit she's effective! 🤣
Yes, it was a joke! 🤣 Julie is a sweetheart and amazing! She does a great job. And her peanut butter eggs look so good and creamy. 😍
I’ve been told I’m quiet my whole life😭
Dang Julia is pretty. Love watching you guys.
Need these peanut butter cremes
Why not use a different nut butter - like almond or cashew - during the year and PB eggs for Easter?
You're the best guys, your Spanish sounds pretty good too 🤣
Ubiquitous is similar to chock full. Both are polar opposites of obfuscated.
Yes ubiquitous and chock full are synonyms, but they're not antonyms of obfuscated. To obfuscate is to conceal (both physically and as in to pretend.) The antonym of ubiquitous is obscure.
What is the white powder and how often do you have to replace it? These are very labor intensive but, then again, what candy isn't that you lovingly make?
It's food grade cornstarch and I believe they have to replace it completely every 3-6 months at that scale.
Pb and j eggs add strawberry flavor also
Montana here 😊
We need more eggs! Easter is early this year! Are you trying any new flavors this year?
Karen is like, get out my face now Craig! Lol
I was surprised to not like almond butter much when I love almonds 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️😄
Peanut butter and honey sandwiches are divine.
Is there a fig flavoring, or any candy that could be made with a fig jam? I feel like I have to try that before I expire! Lol
The eggs would as sit on the round table at Easter and the Valentines display would be on the table on Valentine's
Such a long process for a quick treat
Ikr😂
The first time I saw Max man handling the creams, I was thinking to myself NNNNNOOOOOO....He's going to break them all. 😂
The easiest way to get all the pb out of the jar is to cut the jar in 1/2.
Omg get out the checkbook….. or maybe my debit card ❤
As much as i really enjoy your videos , including livestream, my OCD can.t stand the wire hanging under the hook, Its unsightly and could be a cleanliness issue, Could it be ran on the top of the wood hold all that to the wall?
Lol
No Poley shopping for his valentine video this year?
New supporter here. We’ll still new anyhow. What is the purpose of the startch?
Curious to know why you don't just use molds for your candies instead of going through the whole process of dealing with the corn starch process.
What if you did a second cream for it and put the fluff in the cream and do a half and half
For Easter, you should do white chocolate covered eggs with edible paint airbrushed on them for a tie n dye effect
Cute idea!
Супер ❤❤❤❤
I dare you to make almond butter eggs.
I TRIPLE dog dare you!
you should do something with hazelnut butter
I've always wondered (but never asked), what the heck is that creme base made from? Is it just like a sugar confection?
I love watching these videos. I wish the chocolate shop here, Candies by Vletas, did videos. Their candies are awesome as well!
Hard to believe there are factories that can do this now.
❤❤❤
I wonder how they would taste made with cookie butter instead of peanut butter
Looks like you surprised yourself speaking spanish. Good job!
