I cannot imagine being so famous as a teenager. When I think about how self conscious and embarrassed and aware of what everyone else's opinion was I cannot imagine how damaging fame would be.
I know but think about how many nice comments she would get as well. If people don’t like something about someone then they can have an opinion. I wouldn’t agree with their opinion but their life is worse than her’s and they want their life to feel better by putting others down

@@13_Racing when you get hate comments on the scale that they do it can be hard to pay any kind of attention to nice comments, in fact when you get consistently put down by one person, even if everybody else in your life is constantly saying nice things about you, it can be incredibly hard to not feel badly about yourself
I agree but at least they can reassure themselves that the reason why they even became so famous was because they are so good looking. And they should bear in mind how much of it is jealousy. All the hate comments say more about humanity than about them.

their parents are the ones that should be protecting them and ensuring that their team doesn't overwork them, but they don't and even have the audacity to pretend it's different. The girls even feel like they have so many people rely on them for their jobs, when they are just vultures feeding off of their mental decay bc of their jobs. This is so worrying and it should be spoken about in the public as this is giving britney spears, jennette mccurdy and alyson stoner vibes

Wouldn’t be so bad if they had the separation from work and normal life. But there is literally a camera crew in their house. 24/7 for the show.
I mean they're in a tough position too, their family relies entirely on the income of a child instead of the parents who would usually provide. It's not something that many people are used to dealing with and is a terribly fragile situation to be in. The kids aren't used to the stress of providing for the entire family while keeping a positive outlook on everything and you'd be afraid of your current lifestyle collapsing. Even if the whole family said they were fine with that happening, the ones responsible would still carry an unimaginable burden on themselves. It's really not a simple situation.
Not saying they're the perfect model parents, but I'm also not saying they're the scapegoats of this whole situation, and I definitely think that making them the scapegoats was not the intention of the documentary in the slightest.

The last part.. you’re so right. Panic attacks are so serious and it honestly breaks my heart they go through this. I’m not even a fan, but they are people and I just wish they didn’t have to go through that. No one deserves that. They are people. No matter how “cringey” or whatever you think someone is- they are still human. And like you said, jokes are jokes. Pointing out cringe isn’t necessarily mean, it can be made funny. But just being straight up abusive and mean to people is never okay. No one is perfect. Ever.

i understand that they kept the scene in with Dixie having a panic attack because they want to show the audience that they are real people with real feelings, but it’s just hard to watch. Hearing what she is saying, and feeling her pain, then seeing her parents who, I’ll be honest, aren’t comforting her at *all*. it’s things like this that really make me wonder if these parents really care about their childrens’ mental health and well being or money, because no parent would ever want to see their child in that much pain and have the little reaction they did. It just breaks my heart.
When I first started having panic attacks, I had a breakdown and my parents acted exactly like that, wasn't that comforting I will say.

its like they're uncomfortable probably because theyre being recorded at what should be an intimate moment between parents and their daughter. i would break down if i had a daughter and saw her crying like that. this is fucked.

These few clips from the show made me extremely sad… like, these girls could both be my sisters and I literally can’t even imagine seeing one of my siblings having a panic attack over loads of negative comments or not having any time for themselves to enjoy. I know it may sound stupid, but as an older sister myself, I just feel like these girls need to be protected, because even if there might be some aspects of their actual life that are cool or whatever, I’m afraid that they will eventually break down. Watching an adult shatter into pieces is already awful, but what about a teenager? Heartbreaking.

it really is Heartbreaking, specially on Charli's part since she IS the reason why the whole family is famous. and also since if Charli quits (which is what I think is going to be her breaking point) everyone who works for her will be jobless, and That's A LOT of pressure to put on a LITERAL CHILD.

If you have panic or anxiety attacks try carrying around warheads or a similar sour candy. It’s so sour it forces your brain to reset by the jolt of sour. It gives you the break you need to calm down.

2 - we’re talking in hypotheticals here, since neither of us know exactly how much pressure she is or isn’t under (also, after all, everybody copes differently), so we don’t necessarily know that she’s being, as you put it, ‘pressured by everyone’
3 - she is a major source of income, yes. have they already made a significant amount of money? yes. if she’s truly unhappy and her parents see that, then they’d likely have no problem with her quitting (her mother mentions in the clip I time stamped that she’d like for her to get some time to be a kid; this is what I’m basing this on)
4 - you mentioned that she might regret quitting later down the line. hypothetically, i’m arguing that if she’s unhappy she could quit. if she’s likely to regret it, or she’s only considering quitting, then she obviously isn’t too unhappy.
5 - yes, it is a lot of pressure to be in the public eye, and it’s not for everybody. hence why I suggested that if she can’t handle it, she could always quit.

I actually didn't know what panick attacks where until everyone in the comments and alex pointed out it's one I've had two so far and i feel horrible knowing she's experienced it I personally don't really care for her as a random citizen but if i was there i would gladly hug and support her she clearly really deserves it and her parents being leeches off her and her sister's game is just horrid they probably didn't even care when she just plain broke out and that's horrible because I've broken down to thee point i had a really hard time breathing and was gasping for air all my mother could do was "Oh god look at HER being pathetic" and she'll repeat it over to my siblings and point at me saying "Don't be like your SISTER" and i capitalized some words because I'm ftm/trans and she clearly knows but doesn't care anyways i sincerely hope that the stress of being perfect affects Charli for the rest of her life

I think what people need to understand is that 'criticism' is not the same as abuse, and not everybody is open to or needs criticism. You don't get to criticise someone's appearance just because they made a song and say "if they didn't want criticism, the shouldn't have put themselves out there" because someone's content they create and who they are as a person are not the same thing and should not be treated as such. Watching an adult let alone a teen shatter like this is absolutely heartbreaking and it takes a level of immaturity that you can only have by either being too young to understand how people work or too old to remember what empathy is to think it's ok to treat people like this.

Man as much as it's easy to see these youngens with so much money and to feel resentful, I couldn't have done it. I know without a shadow of a doubt with that much money at that young of an age I wouldn't be alive today. Even now it wouldn't be healthy for me to have that much money and unstructured time and to have to be self motivated.
I'm a simple man and it took me long enough to realise I need the discipline and routine of a physical job to physically tire me out and enough money to live on, eat well and do the things I love. That's it. Good luck to everyone out there and I hope these two stay relatively happy and healthy 🙌
