I'll admit the Warriors are still the favorite to win the Championship; but next season will definitely be a lot more interesting than last year. OKC, Timberwolves, Cleveland, Celtics, Spurs, Lakers, Houston, Wizards, GSW, Sixers, and the Bucks are all going to be very interesting to watch. The playoffs in the West will be intense. Seeing who will succeed more between the Cavs & Celtics. I'm excited. Just waiting to see what Wade does now.
Don't sleep on the timberwolves either with Jeff Teague, Jimmy Butler, Andrew Wiggins & Karl Anthony Towns
I think the cavs will succeed more in this immediate season, but the Celtics are definitely set up better for the future, they lost their best 2 defenders, and Isaiah basically = kyrie, although, crowder and bradley leaving does give jaylen brown and tatum a lot more room to develop, and Gordon Hayward was a great pick up to run with kyrie who's still really young. Maaaaaan you right this season finna be LIT

Theo OKC won't have any problem with Golden State. GS is still weak on the glass and in the interior, and can't defend in transition. All things OKC will be able to exploit now that Russ has help.

I think the best matchup against the warriors will be the timberwolves.. warriors can't stop KAT and they got butler to defend Durant to the best ability. Wiggins is good scoring the ball and will cause fits and he won't really have to guard on ball because klay is mostly catch and shoot.. Teague is a good defensive guard who can shoot and pass well.. all depends on how well they can shoot the 3...

I'm a Knicks fan and I'm happy as shit for Melo. Dude deserves to be on a winning team. He gave New York everything he had, from Syracuse to the NY Knicks. The Knicks didn't return the favor. I want to see him winning games and at least making runs into the playoffs. I still don't think OKC beats the warriors, not without solidifying their bench lineup and overall chemistry, but I think they're definitely top 4 seed, it's a toss up between them, the Spurs and the Rockets. The warrior's path to a repeat title definitely got harder this offseason, so there's that.
OKC's problem is their bench now. It's pretty weak. I guess Felton is a decent backup point guard. Not a big offensive threat but a good passer, and can run an offense. Patterson(if Melo plays the 4) is decent, can hit spot up 3s with regularity, spaces the floor. Roberson is just a defensive specialist and doesn't produce much offense. They don't really have much else...Abrinas? He's still early in development but has some potential. They lack depth...so the key is gonna be spacing out the big 3's minutes so they always have a guy on the floor who can produce when called on.. and to keep them healthy for the playoffs too not to mention.
The way to go for OKC is to convince Melo to play small-ball power forward. He's been very reluctant to go-to the 4 spot all his career, but that was with a struggling NY Knicks with zero help. Now he's on a team where there are players legitimately better than him on it. Paul George is more mobile, quicker, and he should play the 3 spot. If Melo plays like olympics Melo, the Thunder are gonna be deadly. If Melo plays like Knicks Melo where he isos on the wing, and the rest of the offense stands around watching, the Thunder are gonna have issues. I think Melo is going to happily accept a role where he's not the #1 scoring option, or possibly even the #2 scoring option, because he knows it's not just about him anymore and it's about winning. We'll see though. I wanna see Melo in the pick & roll with Westbrook. Both as a roll man, and the pick & pop at the top of the key... Melo will hit those shots all day and at the 4 spot, that really extends the defense and makes it easier on Russ where the lane won't be as clogged.
