    I went more on the performance side.
    1) K&N CAI
    2) Wheels and tires
    3) Roush catback exhaust
    4) pedal commander
    5) Fox 2.0 suspension with Cognito UCA.
    It rides so freaking good and it turns all the heads

    Nice truck, I bought my 2019 XLT sport FX4 in December of 2019. I did fender liners, trifold hard bed cover, floor liners, OEM tailgate assist, seat covers ( because mine has leather interior) , and a release for the drivers side rear seat back. Since then, I’ve tint matched the front door windows with the rear, added a color matched hood protector, installed Raptor style grill lights, added LED fog lights, tag lights, brake and turn signal bulbs, and a Morimoto LED third brake light. Luckily, when I bought my truck, it already had Fuel wheels, color matched emblems and black badges and tinted rear lights. Oh, and I also added ditch lights by the windshield.

      Sounds like a sweet truck. How do you like the Moriomoto Third brake light? I'm considering purchasing one.

      @@SmackeysGarage , it is definitely bright, the cargo light lights up the whole back of my truck and the brake lights are super bright. It only uses the 2 outside screws, so you have to remove the 2 plastic thread inserts for the 2 inside screws to use the little Christmas tree push pins that come with it, and I also had to take my factory harness and reroute it through the center hole behind the brake light. Mine came with an extra gasket and 2 extra Christmas tree pins, I guess in case you ever have to remove it. It’s definitely worth the money

    Your mods are exactly what I’ll be getting ASAP. Shorty antenna and Husky Floor liners were #1 and #2. I had Weather Tech in the past 2 vehicles and they are awesome, but I just wanted to try something new so went with the Husky. So far so good. Wheel well liners are next. Then a bed cover. These are all no brainers!

    • @SmackeysGarage
      @SmackeysGarage  Před 2 měsíci

      Glad to hear about the husky liners. I've been wondering how they do compared to the weather tech ones. I do like the shorty antenna, but I do miss the taller antenna to let me know if I'm fitting in garages or not!

    Living in the south, vent visors and tinted windows are a must. LEDS under tailgate, air deflector on hood and wheel liners were there also.. Another must have are the LED replacement lights for tag, major difference. My Lariat truck has every option except sunroof, which is why I purchased it, previous '16 model leaked and Ford wouldn't fix it. Also, good item is the flip down steps to reach into bed. I rigged parachute cord to open left rear seat back to have a secret space behind seat also. Enjoyed your video's.

    • @SmackeysGarage
      @SmackeysGarage  Před 2 měsíci

      Vent visors and tinted windows should be on the list. Unfortunately up here in Massachusetts we can't really tint our windshields or have dark side windows or else I'd do it. What did you use for LED replacement lights for the tag? I'm thinking of doing that as well.

    Have 2 F150’s. A 2014 XLT extended cab and a 2019 XL STX extended cab. Completed all the mods that you recommended minus changing the shocks. Thank you for the video!👍😎

      Awesome! If you do change the shocks you will really like them. Otherwise, you have a great set of mods already!

    My mods on my 2019 F150 SPORT: 1. ARE cab high shell w/ BEDRUG (camping time), 2. Under-tail gate light strip (just an added safety), 3. Tail gate assist (easily installed), 4. LED Assist Backup Lights (mounted under rear bumper midway between right/left bottom of bumper to hitch), 5. Oil catch can (under hood), 6. Rear jump seat latch (rear jump seat), Weathertech under seat storage (under rear seat), 7. Bulletpoint dash mount (top center dash mount for cell phone holder, etc: Compatible with IBolt accessories), 8. Weathertech floor mats (F&R), 9. Stubby antenna (cause it looks better than stock), 10. Seat covers (because it’s also my dining table at times!), 11. Rear seat doggie sling (keeps my baby girl safe)! 12. A 12v power with inline LVD from battery to rear and crossover at rear to power both sides (for SetPower 50 fridge, and finally, BONUS: Dedicated switched power line (from under hood 12v accessory fuse) to rear of cab high shell window/door for rear facing dash cam.
    Bonus: If you are interested in installing a forward facing dash cam at your rearview mirror area, here is a secret: Dongar Dashcam Power Adapter. This adapter attaches to your powered rearview mirror (If your rear view mirror auto dims from headlights at night, it is powered). This attachment permits (switched) power to both rearview mirror and dash cam at same time! How cool is that! (Also keeps from having to wire past A-pillar airbags). I actually mounted 2 dash cams: one forward facing and one driver witness!

      Nice set of mods you have there on that truck. I've been thinking about the ARE cab high shell, not for camping but for keeping mountain bikes safe when I go out. I have the bed rug as well and really like it. Oil catch can is also something else I need to do. I've been putting that off for a bit but I probably should just do it.

    Oil separator or oil “catch can” to preserve your engine and your horsepower.

    Mine already had wheel liners. The damper is a good idea. As far as the shocks mine is a STX off road maybe the shocks are different. but my ride is just fine and smooth. I live in Maine and roads are terrible. I have to say i have the same floor mats and a bed cover also. 👍👍.

    • @SmackeysGarage
      @SmackeysGarage  Před 6 měsíci

      Cool, another New Englander! My truck rode fine with the stock shocks but the change definitely made a big improvement. I probably shouldn’t be complaining about Massachusetts roads if you are in Maine!

    2 1/2” front level kit, catch can and led head lights if the truck came with halogens.

    I have a 2018 Ford F150 STX FX4 Off Road with the 2.7L GTDI engine. I installed the RAS (Road Active Suspension) to help with squat when towing my RV. I'm not sure if it would be worthwhile to upgrade to the Bilstien shock. I'm still learning, but I think a downside to the RAS is it pushes the weight on the leaf spring to the front. I’ve not seen that addressed anywhere so for now I'm keeping an eye on it to make sure nothing is damaged or wears faster. Do you have any thoughts on the RAS? Also, I purchased the Gate King instead of the assist because I like the option to hold the tail gate at different points instead of just all the way up or down. Thanks for the video

    • @SmackeysGarage
      @SmackeysGarage  Před 9 dny

      I'd be interested to hear how the RAS works for you. I'm thinking about getting a trailer for my boat and It's definitely on the heavier side. I have no experience with the RAS. I didn't know that Gate King existed but it looks like a cool product. Maybe on my next truck!

    Appreciate the video. I have the same model but 2019. I’m getting the rough shifting. Have you dealt with that at all?

    • @SmackeysGarage
      @SmackeysGarage  Před 4 měsíci

      I haven't. I've heard of some people reseting the adaptive transmission tables and see if that helps. If you have FORScan you should be able to do it. Maybe even able to do it by pulling the battery. Mine has always shifted pretty well.
