    I think it is very difficult to compare any phone to the 1 inch sensors other than another 1 inch sensor because of the depth of field issues which has a lot of the photo slightly out of focus, when they produce a 1 inch sensor with a variable aperture like on the Mate 50 Pro but with a larger range then it will be a fantastic phone in my opinion. I personally like to have as much of the photo in focus as possible but I also would like the choice to have a shallow depth of field now and then. The Samsung S23 Ultra has beefed up a bit from the S22 Ultra but I think Samsung hasn't been bothered enough to sort out issues like the horrible white balance and red tint and don't get me started on the super steady video which is embarrassing to say the least. For me the Vivo X90 Pro + gets most things right but could use a few tweaks here and there, will be interested to see what both come up with next firmwares, good job on all your videos keep it up 🤘

Was originally also considering the Xiaomi 13 pro, but a few reviews that i seen seemed to put it a bit behind these two video/photo wise. Thanks again for these real reviews, that show what they can do in everyday circumstances.

      I'd consider the S23 Ultra if it weren't for the price and the not so good shutter speed that makes taking photos of moving objects not so good. Also the X90 pro plus is much better in sustained performance where it doesn't get too hot or lose too much performance over extended use compared to S23 Ultra.

      Vivo does not apply a softening. Thats just how photos look like without a crazy amount of sharpening. Therefore the photos of the X90 Pro+ look like they are shot on a real camera, why would you want anything else? Also no app can get you a natural background blur like a 1 inch sensor

      Yeah the 4k and AF on the front cam is really a plus for vloggers. Together with the ability to switch between front and back cameras is really useful sometimes. Sadly the front cam is not really usable indoors and low light conditions. Its getting grainy pretty quickly. And I was really shocked in comparison I did with the Xperia 1 IV where it simply blows the Galaxy S23 Ultra out of the water indoors. Anyway maybe they updated it february security updates. Have to recheck that again. The short and maybe not 100% so useful comparison with the Xperia 1 IV will come out later today.

    Hi there! How does the 1 IV cope with temperatures in FEB2023? Did anything change throughout the last few months? I know that Sony did update it in order to mitigate overheating but I still read that people complain about that. How big of an issue that still is? I heard stories that people were getting overheating errors on the screen after a few automode pictures. Another two questions would be: Can the front camera record in 1080p/60fps (apart from 4k/30)? Also, does the Xperia have something similar to Samsung's "My safe" folder? I'm thinking of getting it for myself but I can't imagine using a phone for 2 years id it overheatsto a point that you can't take many photos one after another or record 1080/60 / 4k/30 for 10 minutes straight.

    • @lltechview
      @lltechview  Před rokem +1

      I don't have an overheating issue right now. I think they solved it last summer already. But it depends on temperatures it will show the overheating quicker than others when recording in direct sunlight. Third party apps however don't suffer from a limit here. Also using the Bluetooth grip you can disable the thermal limits.

    If you take the photos in a zoom range between 3 and 10x into account the Vivo X90 Pro+ crushes the S23U. I mean at the optical zoom ranges the S23U already isn't better but the big range where the S23U needs to depend on digital zoom with a very poor sensor makes it lose the zoom clearly. I mean zoom up to 10x is what you need the most there it has to be good. And the darker it becomes the bigger the advantage of the X90 Pro+ gets as the the 64 mp sensor with 1/2" is way bigger than the S23U Zoom sensor. In general Samsung made very bad decision in this phone from my perspective. Also who needs a 200mp sensor which produces very flat pictures if you shoot in 50mp or 200mp and doesn't even have more details unless the lighting is perfect. And at night it's not only worse than the X90 Pro+ in picture quality but it needs way longer to capture a photo in night mode than the X90 Pro+ and it photos without night mode are pretty bad, whereas the X90 Pro+ does produce amazing photos even without night mode. The only thing Vivo needs to improve is stabilization in videos, there it can't keep up with the iPhone 14 Pro Max or the S23U. Stabilization on the S23U improved massively and now is even better than on the iPhone for the first time. Whitebalance off, oversaturated and oversharpened describes the photos of the S22U and as well of the S23U. The improvement from Samsung is very, very little on this aspects. I don't get it

    Thank you for such a wonderful video. The Vivo X90 Pro Plus is a very capable device, but when it comes to maturity, I think the Samsung takes the lead. After all, I am not going to use my phone just to take photos. Samsung offers more software updates, better screen, longer battery life, bigger screen, top notch front facing camera, better ecosystem, available everywhere, the only phone on the market right now giving the possibility to use pro mode on the front camera, and the cherry on top I have the Spen (despite being a matter of preference) which is far from being a gimmick, at least for me. The 1.0" type camera is the only thing that Vivo has to offer and it only makes a noticable difference in low light photos and videos.

    • @flo_h_96

      The screen of the X90 Pro+ and the S23U is exactly the same lol. Peak brightness is even a notch higher on the X90 Pro+ but not that anybody could notice. Ecosystem and update are definitely a plus for Samsung as well the S-Pen and although I hate the Samsung One UI and love Origin OS on the Vivo, having a software designed for the chinese market is a big downside, which can't be compensated by better usability. Other than that the X90 Pro+ is definitely the better phone. I mean which person Samsung decided to put a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 with higher clockspeeds and a basic cooling in the S23U? Obviously somebody who has absolutely no knowledge about Smartphones. I knew thats the stupidest decision before the phone was even on the market and I was right. Only slighty higher peak performance compared to the other phones with the same chip but a stability of around 65% in wild life extreme stress test which takes only 20 minutes compared to 86% of the X90 Pro+. There is a reason why Vivo put a very big cooling in there to get that not perfect but very good stability on the not overclocked 8 Gen 2. Even Xiaomi is better with clearly over 70% stability, but that already gets clear frames drops after playing graphic intensive games for a while. Also still extremely low charging speeds and the fact Samsung doesn't include the 45W charger is a big downside compared to the X90 Pro+

    samsung 23u is overrated. the 10x zoom is useless. for all the more useful focal length the vivo blows 23u out of water. btw, why does anyone care about 4k video on the front camera, unless they are narcissists or content provider. for most of us, i just don't see the point. it is gonna to be trash shooting video with a front camera, why difference does it make if it is 1080p trash or 4k trash?

    make videos for CZcams by making pen designs on cloth indoors, some cloth with red and yellow in the video
    The color of the cloth changes. My design videos are very clear and the color of the fabric must be correct. .
    You can name some mid-budget mobiles that come with very clear video and color accuracy.

    I really hope that the Vivo X series, which will launch in Q2 and Q4 2023, will have much better speakers, microphone, stabilization and HDR than the Vivo X90 Pro+! Also supports 4K60fps recording on the front camera with gyro-EIS

    X90 wins slightly but S23 did good as well but with some future software updates to the S23 Camera should fix a few issues.

    The telephotos needs a lot of tuning as the sensor sizes are big enough but details are underwhelming. Vivo needs to tune the 3.5x video more with less contrast and sharpening. Also Vivo nightmode needs to allow more details for the cost of a bit of noise.

      @flo_h_96 Před rokem

      The details on the X90 Pro+ are better than on every phone out there and better than what big cameras give you unless you expose for ever. So I don't agree. Also who wants noise in the picture? But if you really want it simply go to Pro mode and set everything like you want it. The telephotos does have great details, but sometimes it struggles with the auto focus if you zoom closer on things, thats why details are lost in some pictures. Thats what they need to fix

    If you want to have fun with the phone - which means to debloat the firmware, accept chinese letters visible in the system from time to time, and short update support from the producer, Vivo would be the best choice.
    I am on xiaomi mi11 ultra. I am already tired of having fun with the phone to make it usable. S23 ultra is just simpler, more comfortable choice. It has longer update support and now, because of having snapdragon cpu in Europe it is definitely the best choice.

      @@maxel7723 I am more than sure that you are happy with your vivo. But do you think that 1000 euros mobile phone deserve to have only 2 years of software update support from the manufacturer? I would like to finaly keep one phone longer than 2 years, and seems that Samsung finaly is offering that by using the same cpu in all the market as well as 5 years of updates.

    Color design nothing to compare with Xperia, both lame! Better Vivo for using some api2 of IMX sensors for pixel design while copy crap of Crapsung is simply shame! Crapsung does most of the software gimmicks that simply fools everyone. Vivo wins this time!
