Love is kind of like when you see a fog in the morning, when you wake up before the sun comes out. It's just a little while, and then it burns away… Love is a fog that burns with the first daylight of reality

    it’s a brilliant
    rhythmic
    just another
    awe inducing
    beautiful
    genius
    sentence, there, bukowski,
    that last one.
who knows, u may even b right. but that’s neither here nor there. that sentence is pure platonic perfection realized. when that happens, facts and truth and accuracy and all that can lay back and take a breather for once

Remember love is man made. There is actually something much more powerful and meaningful.

Well can't blame him for being cynical his Father used to beat him but maybe told him he "loved" him too so the term takes on a negative connotation when definitions like abuse and love are interchangable. You need to have more trust to have more love and some people just can't do that either never could or just can't anymore after a certain amount of trauma. He "loved" being alone more than being with people "isolation is the gift everything else is just a test of your endurance".
