Re-watching this after finishing the New War. Picked Drifter for the final act. Drifter said "It's a lot easier than riding a horse" when transferring into the warframe, and at one point they said "I really wish I stayed in Duviri". Also when playing as the operator and following Drifter aboard the Zariman, you can see the mask from this trailer hanging from a tree as you enter the room with the giant Orokin statue
There's also a part where the drifter that he was stuck, but not exactly on the Zariman ship. This expansion is probably to explain what happened to drifter up to this point, their gameplay was too polished to have been a one time thing.

In the classroom sncene, you can see a couple of duviri horses drawings, and a duviri horse figure on the shelf to the right (you have to force the camera a bit or play in an ultrawide monitor to see it). Also in the zariman gardens section there's a mask hanging from a tree, exactly the same as the one the adult operator wears in this trailer. My guess is that Duviri paradox will be the next story arc, that will link the events after Ballas cutting Lotus' hand and stabbing the operator in the back and the return of the drifter to the origin system to stop Ballas. It's actually a paradox within the void across 5 dimensions. We can play in the past and future and that thing you saw in the distance was the Zariman 10-0 which was lost in the void and also where the Tenno began.
Many things in the New War reference this trailer. Mission aboard the Zariman Ten-Zero shows the same mask the fella in this trailer wears, suspended from a tree. The drifter’s whistling sounds very similar to the music in this trailer The very obvious now ‘thought they have void powers but did not’ paralleling with Drifter saying “i don’t have (void powers), not yet” in response to Ordis asking “how did you lose it?” The Drifter being the same age as our Operator yet looking as old as the fella in this trailer. Drifter saying “should be no different from riding a horse” when transferring into your warframe for the first time. A lot of signs point to Duviri Paradox being the next major story arc in this game now.
im sure whatever they fuck up with between railjack and duviri that will be a good distraction excuse for them to coast on while the fuckbo- i mean fanboys shut up the forums again
My take: if this is an open map, it probably has a cycle but this time is present/future instead of day/night, and you can only use the aged operator in the future.
With the New War in mind, after playing that quest this trailer is making more sense now. Can’t wait to see what this all has to do with a certain someone.

@@hiddendesire3076 Dark Sector has been confirmed not canon in Warframe, but they're still taking inspiration and references from the past title's art. That tenno's not Hayden Tenno, but just a reference to him.

@@FatfighterXD1 It was confirmed that he just looks like Hayden Tenno. Dark Sector and Warframe are not the part of the same universe (even though there are many references).

@@Russian_engineer_bmstu Absolutely, thats why I said that theres merit to us. Sure they may have alot of content out of the get-go but holy fuck was there some different sentimental meaning to this content when you have played for so long

me bout time my tenno may get old oo is that a mount will are operators be able to us guns now oo new outfits for operators... let the fashion frame begin
so, after completing "new war" quest, i can suggest that it's where the drifter was during all these long years (10+ probably, bc there's a male face in customization that looks like 30-40y.o lol), it's where he was "stuck, but not here exactly" as the drifter said in this trailer i can see that the drifter has a blue mask that reminds me of Narmer ones, but its effect seems vague for me -- after the dax(maybe it's teshin? he looks similar to lotus, when ballas and erra imprisoned her) knocked off the mask(but not killed, why?), the drifter started to see younger version of himself, probably, from another dimension/timeline, just as Narmer's slaves started to see "the truth" after taking the mask off maybe it's the place where all the version exist, so he wears it to not to go crazy or smth? and for some reason, all the ground is covered by marks of worms(void ones) or snakes
Yes he was. He whistles the theme song of this trailer when you play as him and he even says: "I wish I would've stayed at the Duviri". The patterns on the ground are those seen in the Zariman when it jumps and you can see the horse drawings and figures on walls and shelves in the classroom scene. These are simply some of the references, but not all of them. So it is clear this is where he was when he was cast to the proverbial 'hell' as Ballas called it.
Finally after all these years of playing warframe after all the expansions there's finally something I wanted more then anything else! My operator can finally have a beard!
@@brunoorel372 im not flexing. I dont even use tigris. Its kinda slow for me. The slow reload bugs the crap out of me. Catchmoon still outdamages it anyway. Same with rattleguts
It's interesting looking at what changed between Duviri's initial conception and the final product: * Drifter had some HUGE scratch marks on his chest * Drifter was familiar with Void powers * Drifter could use normal weapons * Normal Dax soldiers riding Kaithes (A different enemy rides Kaithes now, as a boss fight) It's also interesting to see what did NOT change: * The Orowyrm flyover, which was actually reused during the quest * Healing totems, visible in the background * The Tenno helping the Drifter * Randomized weapons/loadouts * Horseriding * The art direction
From trailers it is kinda obvious tho that it was supposed to be way more "alien" world, depressing and strange looking. Fortuna was decent only because of the massive disaster that PoE was. Hopefully they've learned from that abominable first 3 weeks of awfulness that was open world attempt #1
I’m gonna guess now that the duviri paradox is the backstory for the new Drifter. It will explain where they were up until coming to our timeline to take over for us for a while; and how they got there. Especially since the Drifter jokes about using a Warframe can’t be any harder than riding a horse. In a way the duviri paradox will be sort of a side prequel to the new war. Up until we go to explore it ourselves. I’m guessing it will be Orokin enemy types. Corrupted and zombie looking Dax soldiers in the void.

Many things in the New War reference this trailer.
Mission aboard the Zariman Ten-Zero shows the same mask the fella in this trailer wears, suspended from a tree.
The drifter’s whistling sounds very similar to the music in this trailer
The very obvious now ‘thought they have void powers but did not’ paralleling with Drifter saying “i don’t have (void powers), not yet” in response to Ordis asking “how did you lose it?”
The Drifter being the same age as our Operator yet looking as old as the fella in this trailer.
Drifter saying “should be no different from riding a horse” when transferring into your warframe for the first time.
A lot of signs point to Duviri Paradox being the next major story arc in this game now.

It makes more sense after playing the new war.
Someone noticed the "super spoiler mode" sometimes whistles this theme on their hub?
so, after completing "new war" quest, i can suggest that it's where the drifter was during all these long years (10+ probably, bc there's a male face in customization that looks like 30-40y.o lol), it's where he was "stuck, but not here exactly" as the drifter said
in this trailer i can see that the drifter has a blue mask that reminds me of Narmer ones, but its effect seems vague for me -- after the dax(maybe it's teshin? he looks similar to lotus, when ballas and erra imprisoned her) knocked off the mask(but not killed, why?), the drifter started to see younger version of himself, probably, from another dimension/timeline, just as Narmer's slaves started to see "the truth" after taking the mask off
maybe it's the place where all the version exist, so he wears it to not to go crazy or smth?
and for some reason, all the ground is covered by marks of worms(void ones) or snakes
I think it's more he was wearing the mask to blend in, but the "dax" was like a Deacon where it saw through the disguise.
Look. More like a late teen than a 30 year old
Finally after all these years of playing warframe after all the expansions there's finally something I wanted more then anything else! My operator can finally have a beard!

It's interesting looking at what changed between Duviri's initial conception and the final product:
* Drifter had some HUGE scratch marks on his chest
* Drifter was familiar with Void powers
* Drifter could use normal weapons
* Normal Dax soldiers riding Kaithes (A different enemy rides Kaithes now, as a boss fight)
It's also interesting to see what did NOT change:
* The Orowyrm flyover, which was actually reused during the quest
* Healing totems, visible in the background
* The Tenno helping the Drifter
* Randomized weapons/loadouts
* Horseriding
* The art direction
From trailers it is kinda obvious tho that it was supposed to be way more "alien" world, depressing and strange looking. The concept of missing colours was there already but the landscape looks like something totally from the void. Maybe they came up with the idea of it being inside the head of the mad king way later.

Thats the Zariman Ten Zero, you can see the ship in The Sacrifice, when you check that one Orokin device that shows Ballas' memories or whatever it is, you can see an image of the same ship shown in this trailer, that image said "Zariman" in Orokin language.
Dethstorm oh my gosh you gave me a thought what if somehow Hayden got into a paradox and traveled to the point where the zarimon crashed and then he might accidentally change something in our history of the operators and umbra knows something is wrong and he’s gonna try to figure out how to get things in place
@@samialeshamly7301 but hayden's existence is before orokin empire(if i remember correctly,the time of Dark Sector is at cold war)
Buuut at the end of dark sector to my knowledge we never actually saw what happens to Hayden, that being said I highly doubt there’s any real link but it’s a fun speculation
DE has mentioned that Dark sector wouldn’t have much appearance in Warframe apart from the proto armor Excalibur skin.. but sure, timeline paradox are weird, maybe Hayden got dragged into the future or we got dragged into the past.. whatever it is. New. War.
And another minor detail is there’s a cloud formation that looks like a skull to the left of it

Very well.
I think that's a version of Teshin that Didn't die and didn't help the tenno
