On first watch of the song's video I got goosebumps. The message I took from the song is that the group are from multiple different countries that have been considered "sisters" throughout recent history (often attempting to gain independence and autonomy from an aggressor). They're saying that they are united in this shared sisterhood and currently one of their sisters (Ukraine) is having its crown (independence) attempted to be stolen (by Russia). They are showing solidarity with Ukrainians against the Russian war and this is further amplified by the singing of Ukrainian towards the end.
I got goosebumps too! Really a powerful song even if the message is to choose love over power! 😉❤️ It could be a great winning song with human values to represent Europe!

There are so many hidden references to look at!
These are just a few I could find:
-purple color of the bulliers is the color of imperialismus = Russian imperialismus
- the scene when girl in blue (presents Russia, the colors she is wearing match the colors of russian flag) is tasting the ukrainian soup and rice (the literal ground of Ukraine) and wanting more and more of her...until she become possessed/crazy
- the shape in the scene when the young sister (Ukraine) is beeing surrounded and encircled by the purple bulliers embles a star ( symbolizes the red communist star= communism)
- Russia (also slavic country) is NOT mentioned as a slavic sister here, but as an aggressor. Many Ukrainians missunderstood this message 😪 since they found this video glorifying the slavic origins of Europe (and therefore, according to them, the sisterhood of Ukraine with Russia as natural relation...which THIS MUSIC VIDEO IS NOT ABOUT). The video and music are sharing love of Czech Republic to Ukraine since we Czechs, who were also occupied by agressive russian army until 1992, consider Ukrainians as our slavic siters/brothers and are standing by their side.
Many Ukrainians got also upset by the russian girl in Vesna band singing ukrainian. You cant judge somebody based on his/her nationality. She left Russia for good and does not support war...there were also fake news, that her father might be russian soldier fighting agains Ukrainians these days...We are lacking more details and background information to this to fully judge this arguments.
- in the scene when a girl is making her make up done in front of a mirrow, she is doing it firstly by her self but when a purple creature appears in the mirrow, she looses the control of her make up. At the end, she looks horrible/messy. This might also be a reference to the horrible russian propaganda on how countries should look like according Russia and looking messed up or horrible at the end
- toward the end of the video, the girls are sitting at the table, singing and smiling....pretending everything is allright, while Russia is killing ukrainian people = sadly this is the real situation of how russian people in Russia are receiving this war 😓
- "we are not your dolls" it relates to the fact that all these slavic sisters (CZ, SK, BG, AU) were occupied by russian army in the past (CZ until 1992) and they become independend, individual countries with own nation identity. Russia has no right to "possess" these dolls and these dolls are not listening demands from Russia anymore. We, slavic sisters (CZ, SK, BG, AU) are each independent country now with an independent national identity.
I am sure there are more hints, you can add more of them and share these with us 🤲
I do think, this is the most original song this year so far...Vesna is adressing current socio-politic situation in Europe and spreding a message of it. We are not having any other folks/traditional songs from other countries this year (unfortunately 😕)... so they definitely stand out. They also stand out because of czech, ukrainian and bulgarian language we are not having this year from Bulgaria or Ukraine.
I wish ur comment could be visible for all the Ukrainians. I’m sooo tired to explain this to them😫 they r mainly against Russian girl in the band, which I partly agree with and also the narrative of Ukrainian-Russian friendship which I’m also agree with but it has nothing in common to this song. However, ur comment is just brilliant. Amazing song, amazing voices, amazing message. Waiting for Karlovy Vary 2024. And thank you for ur support ☺️

NO, you are wrong about the soup.
She is eating Russian borscht (or however you write it) which has letter-vermicelli in it. It says 'BLA" on the spoon, in spaghetti-letters.
He is feeding her propaganda and she is eating it up. The Russian lady is supposed to represent a Russian person that goes along with propaganda.

Thank you from Czech Republic! Absolute winner for me and for all my slavic sisters. Slavic power baby! Girls just amazing I love their music and they are even better live. That message is strong, even smallest word of support counts. My Polish, Ukrainian and Belarusian friends really like the song and I like it a lot! We have to express support in difficult times. In times when you have to run away from your native country, leave your friends, family and in the worst case your husband. I have several friends like that. Sometimes a hug and the words "I'm with you" mean a lot.

Everyone see what he wants in the music video, I just thought their posture at the end looks like politician men particularly when their doing speech or declaration 😉 but it also reflects maybe how they’re pretending that everything is okay when it’s not with the war! But yeah it’s hard to understand everything at the first listening!
I think music video also played on the patriarchy aspect and men controlling aspects of women's lives. If you watch the music video, I think it makes it go more into this direction. If you listen to the song without the music video, then the Ukraine analogy is stronger

Greetings from Czechia, gorgeous Maxe! As a long supporter of Czechia in Eurovision, when Vesna dropped this song, I (and like all Czech Eurovision fans collectively) held my breath. The video is so unbelievably powerful and well-made that it still makes me cry months after Eurovision is over. The angelic chorus in Ukrainian, the strong lyrics condemning patriarchy and war, combined with the video left me speechless. I truly felt that this was a potential winner. Sadly, I also knew that the organisers would screw Czechia with the running order (they like to do this whenever we're in the final). They always put Czechia on too early (we've been on 1st, 2nd and 3rd - positions that people know have zero chance of doing well) and the only 2 times we've been in the 2nd half, what did the organisers do? They put Mikolas Josef on as the first song in the 2nd half and Vesna had to follow the favourite (Finland). The organisers seem to hate Czechia.
The rap part is in Bulgarian
