I would have drained the pineapple into a bowl and put the sliced bananas in the juice. The citric will prevent the bananas from turning brown. Then add bananas to the mix.
Never tried that, does that really work? Great idea.
She said in the beginning something about soda an cider vin. Too prevent browning of fruit ? She didn't tell measurements either on fruit or how too mix the stuff too prevent browning

There was no need to layer everything. Just dump it all in a bowl and mix it all up

Use to cook at a country club, if you take your coconut and lightly toast it in the oven it will also bring out more of the sweet flavor of the cocnut.

It would also be delicious to 'toast' some of the coconut as well as the marshmallows. Another variation to add yet another flavor, would be to stir in a tablespoon or 2 of marmalade. This would allow a subtle citrus flavor. Perhaps graham crackers crumbled and baked/toasted in the oven with some melted butter then add a few white chocolate chips to the crumbs. They will be slightly melted. Crumble along the top of your fruit mixture. This will allow a crunchy topping giving another texture. Just thoughts! I love creating in the kitchen!!! Like you mentioned, no right or wrong and so many combination of options!

I make 2 different salads that are similar. A spring/summer with close 2 the same ingredients only I use strawberry or another flavored jello. I will also add canned mandarin oranges. In late summer/fall, I use pistachio pudding with cottage cheese, pineapple maraschino cherries and marshmallows. Topped with toasted coconut. I always FOLD the dry ingredients into the whipped cream. Have all of my fruits and any liquids mixed in a separate bowl. Then fold them into the whipped cream alternating with the marshmallows.
I don’t care how this is mixed together I will eat the hell outta this… fresh fruit is the best and always best in the summer! 🍉 🍓🍋🟩

I make the same thing almost, I actually won $1000 in a magazine for beat new summer recipe in 1998, next time use flavored marshmallows and add toasted slivered almonds and instead of the sliced strawberries try frozen strawberries the juice and all as well. Really this recipe is so universal.

I can tell you're probably new to making videos, since you showed every single minute of all the pouring, stirring, etc. I'm sure as you gain more experience doing these, you'll learn to edit out those tedious and time-consuming things.
P.S. That was vanilla PUDDING you added, not jello. The BRAND is "Jello", and it is referred to as Jello Brand instant pudding, just as there is also "Jello Brand" instant jello. Just FYI. Anyway, good luck with your future videos. I'm sure that fruit salad was refreshing and delish!❤❤

Pudding and pineapple juice should have been mixed together first then cool whip should have been mixed together with pudding then add fruit and marshmallows and yuck for the burnt marshmallows not toasted they are burnt.

It looks delicious! I just don't like that she's not wearing gloves while handling the food. It's fresh fruit salad and it will be eaten fresh without cooking it and to think she has nail polish and her nails are a bit long. I work in the food industry that's why I'm cautious

Funny! I’ve never put anything cold in cast iron, cause even using it for hot dishes sometimes the metal taste seeps into the food! It must have some kind of casting on it. Otherwise I would adjust the recipe and how it’s made too!

There is a better fruit salad that's been around for generations n decades an it's delishous !!! It's called Ambrosia! U use can of mixed fruit an fruit an marshmallows an shredded sweet coconut . Drained pineapple and walnuts but if u have allergy u can leave out .my grandmother and also us made it for yrs n decades it's soo good ❤.😊❤ 😊❤😊🎉 we always had it at our family reunions .I've made it too over many yrs
