    Go to a craft shop and buy a small amount of Velcro. Set the pressure Velcro around the trigger and it will turn off when done.

    They had so much time to figure out that holding the button down is a nuisance. Apparently, they didnt learn.

      Dangerous having to be on the side of the road bent over holding the trigger.

      Place a zip tie on the grip. Slide it up to engage trigger.

      Legal safety requirements. Insurance claims. You know how criminal some people can be with legal action against Japanese companies.

    How is Makita still so far behind Dewalt here? Having to hold the trigger down is ridiculous STILL. There's also no dual action pump for pumping up air mattresses etc. Dewalt and even Ryobi have had both of these functions for years! I really thought the next iteration by Makita would at least catch up, but nope... still miles behind.

      @MM-qv5lf Před 8 měsíci +1

      But if it's powerful and inflates fast, does it really matter that it doesn't have the trigger lock? Even at gas stations you have to hold the inflator trigger while pumping your tires.

    • @byrnieman1
      @byrnieman1 Před 8 měsíci

      @@MM-qv5lf not sure what hillbilly "gas stations" you go to, but here in Australia, they are digital. Choose the psi you want, and wait till it beeps to say it's done. No holding triggers on, no reading analogue gauges to guess if it's at 38 or 40psi. And if you've used one you'd know they are not "powerful and fast". They take several minutes to inflate a 33" car tyre from 16psi back up to 40psi, so having to crouch down and hold the trigger on is ridiculous.

  • @brosnan

    They also need to add a 12V cigarette plug, so you can keep it in the car and use it without a battery, even AEG can work this out, why are Makita so far behind on this tool

    I can't believe their second generation inflator still doesn't have a trigger lock. What kind of idiot is there at Makita who thinks it's a good idea to stand like a dope and hold this for five minutes? I mean come on!

    • @SydneyToolsTV

    So still no trigger lock.. and I’m not sure if I saw that right as it wasn’t mentioned, but the quick attach/release shader connection is now a screw type? Ffs 🤦‍♂️ I would have loved some extra power and could live with the no trigger lock because of a simple mod that I can do, but come on makita why?
