Yeah Buddy. Quick video on how to turn on and set a Reefer unit on a trailer. Recruiter info Corey Zerance 800-669-0322 ext 5543 czerance@workshaffertrucking.com Trucker Al’s driver code - HEFA
Sentry and continuous. That's the only issue I have. I just got thrown into a tractor and reefer trailer. Im gud with dry-van. It's the sentry and continuous only situation.
I love reefers . The reefers of today are not loud at all Compared to the units of the 80s and 90s!! I would not have any problem sleeping🐧🐧🐧some reefers in the 70s did not have cyclesentry start stop
Thank you for the training Sir. I am transferring and starting today at a new family comonay and I forgot to ask fro the Manual of the reefer. Your video really helped me we also have the white T no orange F yet. Was wondering how do 9 do a cycle so it can turn off and on and off and on on a certain timer cause there's a load I need to learn how to do that.
God, I love me my frozen goods loads... set that bad boy to -20, and reap the benefits of forced continuous mode at that temperature. So much easier to sleep with the reefer droning eternally, and so much faster to confirm that nobody shut the damn thing off while I was out when I wake up
Keep getting offered jobs with reefer trailers but have not taken them as did not have a clue how to use them this video has been a big help . Do you know if they are the same in the UK as the ones on the trailers here the ones we have are thermo king.
Trucker Al I figured it was something of that nature. Welcome back to the road. Keep an eye out for me out here maybe we can grab coffee sometime. I’m about to be posted up in Austin town Ohio over the weekend. Yay
Both caps go to the same place but if you take both caps off when you fill it, it acts as a tank vent and you can fit about 5-10 more gallons of fuel in.
It’s really load pending. For me it’s almost 50/50. I try to push more for overnight driving but only because there’s less traffic, headaches and much easier to find parking first thing in morning.
@@TruckerAl thank for the response I’ve only driven dry van but I’m starting reefer the end of this month , If you don’t mind I may need to reach out to you for advice time to time if that’s okay
Yes, you didn't show how to do stop and run or continuous! 🤦 We need to know that! Erase this video and put a new one where you actually show how to do it.
Thank u my trainer didn't train me on the reffer an that's what ima be driving this video was very helpful.
Thanks man, good no sht instructions. I'm dry van but got a reefer run headed east and just needed the basics. Now I'm good. Appreciate you driver!
I like the video. You made it simple and instructive.
I am going to start a reefer this coming Monday, i got a lot from your video, thanks
Thank you, is my first day driving reefer
You're the best sir! God bless you! You're so funny too!!!!
Great Video 👏👏👏

With that refer there’s an alien like button. Click that. It should go from continuous to start and stop
Thank you!
Thanks I appreciate.
Thank you.
Thank you

Im starting this with crete next week 😁
Nice! Congrats
Which terminal are you going to ?
@@TruckerAl At orientation now in Lenoir city TN. I live near the marietta terminal tho

Yes they should very similar if not exactly the same. These are thermo king as well
Yes nice video, but I want to ask. , when is it convenient to use the reefer or let's travel with it day or night?
What’s pre cool and how and when is it performed ?
What kind of refrigerant is in those?
👍
do you have to pre-trip the reefer? does it automatically go through a self-test when you turn it on?
Yes. If you hit Pretrip. It’ll automatically go thru the whole unit and let you know if there are any faults
Can you do regular fry loads with refer trailer?
Yes
How do you set for continuous or stop and go?
The alien looking button switches it between start and stop / continuous
@@TruckerAl you the man. 🤙🏽🤙🏽
Thank you great video 📹 👍🏾
I’m curious what’s with the small access doors on the back of the reefer trailers?
It’s so you can check the temperature on loads with out breaking the seal. Also used for ventilation
Trucker Al I figured it was something of that nature. Welcome back to the road. Keep an eye out for me out here maybe we can grab coffee sometime. I’m about to be posted up in Austin town Ohio over the weekend. Yay
Yeah Buddy
I notice the fuel tank has a cap on both sides. Am I supposed to fill it on both sides?
I’ve never seen that on any of our tanks. If there’s only one tank then just go with the cap that’s easiest to get to.
Both caps go to the same place but if you take both caps off when you fill it, it acts as a tank vent and you can fit about 5-10 more gallons of fuel in.
How long does it take for the reefer to reach -20 in this hot summer?
Figure it’ll drop 1 degree per minute
@@TruckerAl wow so u have no issues with that unit reaching-20? My old 2007 carrier can barely reach -3 😪
Knock on wood.
Do refer loads pay more?
Yes slightly. Few cents per mile more
Is it true that reefer drivers do more night driving than day driving
It’s really load pending. For me it’s almost 50/50. I try to push more for overnight driving but only because there’s less traffic, headaches and much easier to find parking first thing in morning.

Trucker Al welcome back
Do you turn off the reefer win you fueling upz
No but great question

Exactly that's why I came to this video smh
