Is there anything better than a sunny Scotland?? The Kingdom of Fife continues to impress on this visit, each day get's better and today was a real highlight of our trip.
Fife day 2 started off with a visit to Claireville Alpacas for an hour of absolute madness. We took the alpacas for a walk, fed them, hung out with their baby alpacas and then got to meet their crazy unique sheep. After some food at Bowhouse the sun came out so we hit up a highlight of Fife Coastal Path, Elie. The Elie beach is a magical and calm place, barely anyone there and it was stunning! This is like a 3 in 1 situation bonus, theres the beach, the Elie Ness Lighthouse and the Lady Janet Anstruther's Tower all within a few minutes of each other.

Did you go to Glasgow yet? I went backpacking there a couple years ago when I was in the UK.
The countryside of Scotland seems much nicer though! I'll definitely have to go back sometime.

Thanks for your video of Elie. As a wee boy I spent many holidays at Elie and played around Lady Tower and the lighthouse, and on the beach. My grandfather, and later my father, ran the local bakery - I can still recall the old ovens and the smell of fresh bread.
We came to Australia in 1961 and I enjoy having my memories refreshed. The family home was on a street corner and is now a hotel, I believe - it looks similar to the building featured at 1.07 in the introduction to your first video in this series.

We live half an hour away from Elie (Glenrothes - you probably drove through part of it to get to Elie) and we came across your Scotland videos by chance after watching your Croatia videos, as we go there in less than 2 weeks. Thought, what are the chances? 😂 Based on this video, we went to Elie yesterday and I couldn't believe I'd never been before. Enjoyed a cold beer at the Ship Inn overlooking the beach, visited the lighthouse, the ruins, then walked along the coastal path to the Bowhouse for pizza. The weather was glorious and it was the perfect Sunday spent with my other half. Glad you enjoyed Fife!

That particular coast of Fife is known as the east nuke, and is definitely amongst the most scenic parts of the kingdom. Don't miss getting a fish supper in Anstruther. 😁 Just got to the part of the video where you do. There's a chippy there that's won best in UK, 3 times.Im from a less scenic and less touristy area, but has its own plus points.Have you got any tour of the borders planned out? There's a lot of nice towns, countryside and historic sites there too?

Every local knows what it means - but for the uniniciated ..."It's a lovely moonlight night, tonight".
