    Would love to hear more about the Human Resource Specialists - there is extremely little information out there about that particular role.

    Thanks for the great vid! Question: what is the highest pay grade a current federal employee can transfer into the Foreign Service? I’m asking because I just got a promotion to GS-12 with my current agency (NOT State Dept), and my application process for the foreign service just begin.

    Hi Rob, love your vids. Question: With 8 years of Active Duty service, and 3 years of Federal Civil Service at another agency (11 years combined), can 11 years of service be elgible to count toward the 20 year requirement to retire with the Foreign Service in accordance with the 50/20 rule? Meaning, I can retire after 9 years of Foreign Service?

      As far as I understand it, yes. I came over into the FS with a similar split, math wise.

    Is it possible to apply to both the Management and Political Cones at the same time? I have MAs in both Public Administration and Global Affairs, so I think I could fit into either cone.

    • @RobJoswiak
      @RobJoswiak  Před rokem +1

      Nope. One cone per try.

    • @texfarmer567
      @texfarmer567 Před rokem +1

      Ok. Then is it possible to switch cones mid-career?

    • @RobJoswiak
      @RobJoswiak  Před rokem +1

      @@texfarmer567 that is possible although doesn't happen often.
