  • here is #4 in the pinstriping design practice series im doing,
this design has your C curves & S curves, and a few Straight strokes
If you are stuck with coming up with designs try a go at this one, add to it, take away from it, add your own stuff too it,
I will be doing all of these from this one forward to fit on a 14"x11" practice size. The vertical dashes are 1.5" away from the centerline just to give you a idea on how wide i did the design.
I'm using paper but would recommend others to use glass, dura-lar, or metal
On my blog i will have downloadable PDF photos of the design step by step.

Pinstriping seems like driving... Eyes looking left - right- foreward- rearward- up - down.. hands direct steering a vehicle to maintain position in a lane... is everything for excellent road management. Position, posture and brush handling, eyes moving in all directions, fingers smoothly steering the sword brush accurately and consistently seem to be absolutely essential in pinstriping. Seems Focus is the secret ingredient. Thank you for taking the time to share your skill and time.🤘

Can't help but wonder, jus where are you looking when the brush is moving??
I imagine you must look at where you are going, but certainly you must see where you are and where you have been, but how do you "look like that"?
    Thanks, JIM 😍

Nice do you always use a mack ? I have trouble making turns with them i heard the von dago is easier to make turns

hope you know that mack makes all of the von dago brushes, and the vondago sword is just like a traditional mack blue wrap, if you are having problems making turns with a mack sword that is a 10, 20 series, king 13, or any of the artist series of a sword brush you might need to practice more, angle the brush more up on its tip for turning and also roll the brush between your fingers while making the turns.
