Experimenting with revealing the stone walls in the hallway at our Lake Como house renovation

Whilst we wait for feedback on the planning process, we our conducting some tests to help us make decisions on the interior look and feel. First up, shall we reveal some of the stone wall?
As we have a stone-built house, it would be nice to have some of the wall on display. However, it depends on the condition of the walls, the colour, and the overall effect. We will use the hallway area (the old kitchen) as the test area, as some of the stone work was revealed when we removed the ceramic tiles recently.
