I'd like to add some notes of mine: - On Cirno, the third wave of her first non-spell is aimed in a way can be dodged by tapping to the side. - On Patchouli, both her non-spells are a mix of static and aimed. Her lasers are static, if she shoots the lasers left to right then right to left, the next time she shoots is right to left then left to right, and vice versa. Stream the bullets and watch for her movement. - On Sakuya, the blue and red knives she threw on the previous wave can also be turned green, so you should look for those too just to be sure you're not sniped from behind. - On Remilia in her last spell, count the waves to 5. Her fifth wave is always the fast bubble bullets. This will remember you when trying to dodge the bubbles. If you die or bomb, reset the count until she shoots a new wave.
I've got 3/4 of the good endings but I think it's about time I watched this video. It can really help. (Edit: 17 minutes later that makes 4/4. Thank you for your service!)
Managed to finish stage 6 on normal after continues thanks to this guide. I definitely need to practice the stages more before I can 1cc. Wonder how hard Flan is going to be considering Remilia is already so tough.
Surprised this was requested over UFO, I'd say the latter is more difficult considering Stage 4-6's bosses. Can't wait for UFO though, it still somehow manages to destroy me, even with 6 lives going into Stage 5.
Yeah and there are guides for EoSD. My advice for UFO is: Collect as many resources as possible for first 3 stages and use them on Murasa's last 2 spells, midboss Nazrin, most of Shou and Byakuren. Greens are better for survival if you use all of them before dying. Use SanaeB if you aren't using her. If you are using her, power loss is really harsh for SanaeB. She is really bad below 3.00 power.

My main problem with EoSD so far is precisely the RNG and Sakuya bs, like, for the most part (while playing on normal of course) I do fine, mostly pattern recognition after playing a few times, but then either Cirno or Meiling sometimes force me to bomb in their RNG spell cards, then Patchouli stage usually takes from me another bomb, Patchouli herself with her own bs sometimes makes me bomb (I swear to god, there are times where I can't see where to dodge AT ALL), and then there's Sakuya, who is somehow the hardest boss at least on normal despite not being, you know, the final boss. At least Remi has like only one bs spell card, the rest of spell and non spell are surprisingly easy to dodge for me, so once I get to her, it usually becomes an already won run. Still... I just did my first 1cc today, so don't take too seriously that last part lol. And f Sakuya, I love her but I hate her but I love her.
for other aspiring touhou clearers like me, know that you can 'focus' with the Shift key and skip dialogue with Ctrl!! spamming Z for dialogue is too slow and alternating Z and X can make you waste a bomb if you're not careful. unfortunately it was a while before I learned about these, kept wondering what the deal was and how to shotgun properly like in the vid haha. hope this helps!!?
One question: Does getting closer to the boss make your attacks more potent? I was wondering if the bosses would lose more hp by going closer to them than camping at the bottom, because the further down you go the more your shots sort of diverge. (but if youre closer its shown in more concentrated amounts where they overlap) errr couldnt find results for this weird query on the web
Actually yeah its more potent when you get closer but not by a too significant margin, just some extra seconds saved. Honestly its not worth it to change your playing style deliberately for it unless youre aiming for some really good runs or a specific goal Edit: or maybe its because i play with reimu A with the homing bullets
i always died even on easy like 9 years ago, so i wanted to try and at least beat normal, but found myself dying to stupid things. hope this will help me
in a month and a half I got all 4 good endings and now I am practicing the extra stage. Thank you for the guide.

It seems I was completely screwing myself on Sakuya's first mini boss. Bombing second phase and getting washed away by the rain of bullets.

I haven't heard good things about MarisaB. And I never used her. But SanaeB should be easier to 1CC with.
Omg this is so helpful, but I always use reimu a and I think it's better than reimu b but I'm not sure if it's ok to use reimu a for a better 1cc...

just started touhou today, how do u attract powers and points? like that magnet thingy where it just comes to you?
Simply go near the top of the screen. In eosd you need max power before the point of collection works though
