As someone who just purchased a home (5yrs ago). Two of the biggest reasons were, the natural light (24 windows) and the exposed brick! My shared wall is basically all exposed brick (I live in a row house). And the brick was formed on site in the 1920's! No one brick is the same, and they're all different shapes and sizes (hand laid, no straight lines anywhere) with tons of imperfections and impurities baked into them. Some of the bricks even have pieces of glass in them.
As you were moving the stool around your living room, I kept saying (out loud)...."PLANT STAND...then you said plant stand! Nice choice.

My brain just collapsed when I heard the rent price! It’s crazy how expensive SF is. How do you feel about renting tho? I have come to a point in which I love my rented apartment and I know if I were to buy one it wouldn’t even be close as nice as this one. But also I’d be more comfortable with renovating and really making it my own. I’d love to hear your thoughts on rent vs. buying
