- My friend Poola from the channel @WithaTouchofLuxury tagged me to share 5 luxury designer brands, from which I never owned a bag - and do not even want to own one (EVER?!). First I thought this is a very tough tag for a luxury lover, that's into designer handbags, but when I thought about it a little more, it was quite easy to come up with five luxury handbags and brands, that I'm not interested in at all. Spoiler alert: I'm not interested in Bottega Veneta handbags, Celine bags, Dior bags, Givenchy and even Hermes. Watch the entire video, to find out why!

My first love was and will always be Louis and I now have ventured in to some YSL and that is it. So I guess there are more than 5 brands that just don’t make my heart sing. If given a Kelly or Classic Flap I would kindly accept but I would never jump through hoops to try to get one. I think the Prada logo looks like a Guess logo and I just can’t get past it. Fun video💕
Great point about Prada and Guess 😂 - I always tought the same, but the other way around: „Guess is trying so hard, so seem like Prada“. No idea, who actually had the triangle logo first 😁

I’m with you on Bottega … I have Dior and Givenchy in my collection already and love them both! I would love to own a Celine bag at some point. For me, it will always be Hermes. I don’t get it at all on many levels!

I can totally relate. I have a trip to Paris planned for May. A year ago, when the planning began, my plan was to buy a Chanel bag. Their attitude and pricing has made me (just about) change my mind. In considering what other bags I might shop for I came to the realization that I have no interest in a Dior, Hermes, or Celine bag at any price.
I found you on you tube after searching whether or not it is safe to travel Paris with designer bags. One video lead to another and I have really enjoyed many of your videos. I have to admit the Vestiaire video has me nervous because my first purchase from them is due to arrive to me on Tuesday. I have made it a rule to resist the urge to buy from any site without an easy return policy and I hope that since my purchase thru them was with a professional seller I can really return it for 14 days for any reason. At least that is what the site says. Unfortunately your experience shows that what the site says might not always matter. Sorry your experience was so awful and yes customer service should treat everyone well, but if they don't care to keep a loyal customer who has spent over $26,000 happy, they probably won't care about any customers. Sad

I haven’t that much experience with professional sellers on VC (since their prices usually tend to be a bit higher than the deals you can score with private people - and I’m always on the hunt for bargains 😁). But as far as I‘m concerned, I haven’t heard of any issues with the return policy when buying from a professional seller on VC- so you should be fine. But I cross my fingers for you, that you love your purchase and do not even want to return anyways 🤞🤍

I have an issue with Chanel, after all price increases and so many quality issues people spoke about, I cannot justify paying the money for their bags, I also don’t like that you cannot see/buy their stuff online, and when going to the store you also don’t know what’s available and whether you will be offered a bag. Moreover while the bags (most of them) are timeless and beautiful I find the ready to wear tacky, especially the pieces with large logos. Some look like fakes to me, at least on pictures where you can’t see and feel the quality. Never say never, but definitely not in the nearest future.
I absolulty see your points Adrianna! I bought my Classic Flap years ago, so Chanel wasn’t qualified anymore for this tag for me 😁 - but I don’t think I‘ll buy another Chanel bag anytimes soon (and probably never brandnew at the boutique🙈)

I agree on most of those. For me it comes down to the price point more than the designs. There are bags from Bottega and Dior and Hermes that I love but I'm not willing to pay that much for them...nor for LV or Chanel.

living in Europe where we have the wishlist system you can just walk in your local store ask for a quota bag with specific details and you just wait and get the design you want. Although it might take a couple years or months. since you want a classic piece it's easier to get as if you would have wanted a specific color it's harder. the boutique often gets shipment of black, gold, etoupe birkins
I heard they recently made it harder, even in Europe and that one does not even get a quota bag in Paris anymore that easy, cause they now can access your entire purchase history with the brand. Since I don’t have any realationship with Hermes so far, I don’t think they would sell one of these bags to me.. and I won’t start buying random stuff, to just enhance the possibilities to maybe get a bag one day.. It‘s just not for me 🙈 (or maybe I should try it just for fun, if I could get one 😁)

I’ve never been interested in Bottega because their bags look a lot alike to me. But, I know the quality is very good. I have some Dior as you know, but one bag is vintage and the other was under 1k. I wouldn’t pay full price because they don’t hold their value. I love my Hermés bags, but I don’t want a Birkin or a Kelly, so I don’t think about their games.

I am with you on these for the most part, though I did buy a few Bottega Veneta bags back in 07 and 08 under their previous creative director. I still have two of them, and they are gorgeous, but rarely carried, alas. I would add Chanel to this list for me, they are not worth the price and the nonsense ☺️
I think a few years ago, there still were amazing deals on preloved Bottega Veneta, wish I would have already looked out for one of their bags back then

It's true, the Hermes games are quite annoying, but I love their leathers, colors and quality. Every H bag I've ever had was pre-loved. I just send it to Hermes SPA and they clean/fix it, so that proves its authenticity 😉Agree on Givenchy, none of their bags have ever really caught my eye 😁
Sending a preloved Hermes bag to the official Spa is a great idea for authentication! Do they accept bags, that come without papers (like the invoice)?
@@LuMiLevelUp they never ask for a receipt or paperwork. All that matters is that it’s authentic. If Hermes made this bag - they stand behind it and will fix/clean it. The spa service is not cheap, but worth it imo 😊
