- We sailed on the 100-passenger luxury yacht Emerald Azzurra in Italy. This is Emerald Cruises' first ocean ship, and it is a spacious beauty with great food and service.

I've stayed in Taormina, it's a lovely place and you get excellent views of ships anchored in the bay below. I bet loads of people took photos of Emerald Azurra from there.

A couple of questions, if I may:
Did the laundry room have an iron, or only a steamer?
Did you monitor the pricing on cocktails, beer, wine, etc. and whether you felt the alcohol package was worth it (pretty pricey). (Of course it depends how much a person drinks … but we enjoy having a drink or 2 with lunch, perhaps a couple in the late afternoon and then likely quite a few in the evening. 🥂🍻🥴😄)
And finally (maybe your partner might know), did the guests dress up a bit for dinner & the evening or was a pretty informal affair. (I like to dress up - dress and heels).

For the laundry, I can't recall whether it offers an iron. I would think that there is one. I'll try to check.
The drinks package, around $60 per person is likely only worth it if you like a few drinks throughout the day. Otherwise, wine, beer and soft drinks are available complimentary at lunches and dinners.
Dress is resort casual but we enjoyed a few dress up nights as dis many other cruisers on our sailing. Thanks for watching. This ship and cruise was our favorite in the past year.

I'm suddenly reminded of your video tour of Scenic Eclipse - this Azzurra looks like a smaller and white (instead of black) version of that ship, both inside and outside ... with the same penchant for sterile materials, very "clinical". Considering that Scenic and Emerald are linked companies, could be they used the same interior designers.

I love this yacht! Which itinerary was this cruise?
This was around Italy, from Dubrovnik to Rome, stopping in Crotone, Monopoli, Otranto, Giardini Naxos, Amalfi and Sorrento.
I'm considering the 14 day Venice to Athens cruise on Emerald Azzura, which covers a lot of Coratia etc. I just wish it sailed though the Corinth Canal to get to Athens.

Thanks so much for watching. The ship was smooth on all days except for a little rocking and rolling when we went south into the Ionian Sea one night.

How's this compared to Windstar Star pride?
This ship carries only 100 people. It is our favorite small ocean ship experience ever. Great food and service. All inclusive. We loved it. Thanks for watching.
