Their studio versions are great but these guys are absolutely a live band through and through. If you’re after a banger, Mighty Long Fall live @ Yokohama Stadium 2014 is 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻not only will you experience how big they are, but the extraordinary talent of each band member. It’s also a band where all members are loveable! They also have a documentary on Netflix that shows their journey of creating a full live-stream concert during the pandemic. You really are in for a treat, this is one band that I wish I could hear again for the first time! I have also personally seen them live and they really really are that good 🤘🏻💜 I’m from Australia and I discovered/became a fan about 3 years ago. The upside to you coming late to the party is you’ll have so much great music to look forward too!

Thank you for reacting to ONE OK ROCK (OOR in short)!
ONE OK ROCK was formed in 2005. The band members are Taka (vocalist), Toru (bandleader, guitarist), Tomoya (drummer) and Ryota (bassist). They play different styles of music like rock, emo, pop, pop-rock and more. Takas vocal range is unbelievable and Toru, Tomoya and Ryota are amazing on their instruments. Their lives are even better than their MVs. In their live performances you can see what they are really capable of.
I discovered OOR in 2012 when I watched the movie "Rurouni Kenshin". Their song "The Beginning" was part of the soundtrack. But I became a real fan 2 - 3 years ago.
    My suggestions for the start:

I got to know the band in 2012, when the beginning came out. Fell in love instantly. Luckily they came to Germany/Europe in 2013. They excel in live performances. By far my best live experience. My favorite song ist Mr.gendai Speaker (Mr. 現代 Speaker)

One Ok Rock are well known outside of Japan and they are a great live band. in 2014 when Band-Maid released "Thrill" some people questioned if the girls were actually playing their own instruments so in response Akane ,MISA and Kanami released play along videos, Akane did a Maximum the Hormone song because she was a huge fan of their drummer and Kanami plays along to ONE OK ROCK song, Koi N Aibou... it's fun to check out from those very early, shy days czcams.com/video/b7ME5mhkZoI/video.html I never did find the MISA play along but i hear it's out there. cheers

It would be curious to see reactions where you react to the songs of the band in the chronological order of their albums and see the evolution of the band and its sound. If you can do it I would be very grateful.
It is also true that this band is very good live so you could mix between reactions to their album songs and live performances, very few people who have reacted to this band have done that and it is a content that is very enjoyed.

ONE OK ROCK is the largest and best mainstream rock band from Japan. He can easily fill arenas anywhere in the world, because he has fans all over the world and their show is among the best produced in the world. Singer Taka is, in my opinion, currently the best vocalist in the rock genre, because he can sing rock, pop, punk, metalcore, rap at the highest possible level. He also has a screaming and growling technique in addition to clear vocals. (For a demonstration of the beauty and quality of his pure vocals, check out the cover of the song Hello by Adele. czcams.com/video/5GQnC6UUsZw/video.html) The last two albums are pretty pop-rock style, so I recommend the earlier, much more aggressive and dynamic music.

I'm glad you checked out their older song. I really love their older stuff, I'd always support their stuff. The newer songs are good but heavily influenced by western style. My first song I listened to from them was "The Beginning". I wasn't even looking for them but glad I came across them around 2016.

I only discovered them in 2020 after watching the movie Rurouni Kenshin. They did all 5 movie themes which include : The Beginning, Heartache, Mighty Long Fall, Renegades and Broken Heart of Gold. All of these songs are great . Since then I have bought all of their albums and DVDs because they are so exciting. Their lives are the best and from the beginning they wanted to go worldwide. The band was formed in 2005 and Naihi Shinsho came out in 2007. They loved American rock like Linkin Park, Good Charlotte and the Used. Taka is friends with many popular singers like Ed Sheeran (who also worked with Taka on Renegades) and Mike Shinoda. Their earlier music is more heavy and the more recent album has been more pop. I frankly love all of their music and they have said that even if some fans don't care for their recent music, they will keep going because they want to keep growing instead of being in one spot. If you like a heavier sound, Deeper, Deeper is great and Taka is great with ballads like Pierce, Wherever you Are, and Good, Goodbye. Any song by them is terrific. Looking forward to more reactions. Thank you.
