@@Aaron-zh4kjoh shit my fault. I meant to answer this. Can you be more specific? Is there a specific model or at least type of guitar you are looking for? I am old school so I can't tell you anything about metal guitars and except for a few Edwards I've seen, those two brands are not known for guitars of that sort anyway. Edwards is known mostly for Fender and Gibson replicas. They are made in China (supposedly they are finished and set-up in the ESP Japan factory) , but don't think of them like the average Chinese guitar. They are not just made in those huge Chinese factories that manufacture ten other brands. It's production level (meaning below custom shop level), but ESP production level which you know is great. I have an Edwards ES-335 replica with Seymour Duncan pickups. It fucking rules. It's better than most modern production level Gibsons (custom shop is a different ball game, Navigators are ESPs premium level F&G replicas that are on the custom shop level of those brands) that are at least $2200 new. I got one that was like 6-8 years old and in good, but not mint condition for like $750 before shipping. Amazing deal that I couldn't be more happy with.

@@Asshat237 Thanks loads for the info. In general recently, I like guitars with stainless steel frets, two humbuckers, if possible not a strat shape, 22 or 24 frets is okay, a two point tremolo. and in general darker colored fretboards. In short, I like modern but classy (not crazy metal-looking) super strats, things like EVH, Suhr, and Friedman.

Yea , I was always a diehard Gibson Les Paul fanatic until I tried an Eclipse at a local Music Store . I bought it right then . I didn't touch my Les Pauls for a long time . I wore out the Eclipse Frets pretty dam quick cuz I practice 4 or 5 hours a day . So yea , I agree with you , best Guitars on the Planet for sure . 🎸
But they've been cranking up the prices over the last couple of years . I hope they don't get ridiculous like Gibson has . Then I wouldn't be able to afford another Eclipse either . Hope you're doing well Dude .

A lot of flagship brands are getting a little out of control with the prices. That’s why brands like Harley Benton, AIO, Firefly, Epiphone and even Squier have been stepping up the quality game quite a bit. If you told me I could get a actually great playing Squier for $500 ten years ago, I’d tell you you’re lying and not very well. Now they have the Classic Vibe which actually play and sound pretty damn good right from the get-go! Also tried a 40th anniversary Squier strat not too long ago and again I was checking the headstock repeatedly to see the name again. Epiphone however, since they moved from Indonesia to China, it’s cut back the costs quite a bit and the QC has slipped a bit as a result. But hey the money for an Epiphone now is even great! Can buy a new Epiphone Les Paul custom with quality burstbuckers and a full fledge ebony fretboard and full Gibson 7ply body binding now! That never would of happened even 6 years ago due to the cost of material being too high. So it’s a good time for the underdog brands to come into the light and especially Harley Benton, they have come full force into the spotlight. At least every major CZcamsr guitarist that I watched have nothing but good things to say about them.

@@gameroftheyear1000 Hey how are you doing ? Thanks for all the info . My first Guitar was an Epiphone Les Paul , I don't remember the model number . All white with black trim , Gold hardware . This was before I had any skills with doing a Setup or any Guitar maintenance at all .
I had taken it to the local Music Store a few times to have them set it up for me and each time they gave it back to me in worse condition . Worse condition meaning barely playable . Action was so high that I could barely bend any of strings . Anyway , you get the point on that Epi .
Last year I bought a Harley Benton from a guy here in my Hometown in Upstate New York .
He had played it only a few times . No Fret wear at all . The Neck is amazing . Not quite as thin as Ibanez but very close . Kind of like my '96 Gibson Les Paul Studio Lite .The Fretboard is
very smooth and well made .
And the Guy was only asking for $ 100 so I drove to his place pretty dam quick . Anyway , I'm quite sure my next Guitar will be a Harley Benton with the Stainless Steel Frets . Because of my OCD I've spent quite a bit of money on having my Guitars being Re - Fretted . Even though I have a friend who is a top notch Pro Luthier . But anyway , I do appreciate you explaining how the Guitar building process takes place across Seas . Hope you and your Family are doing well and staying safe . 🎸 😎 🎸

Yeah, I always thought that was a terrible rebranding. It somehow conveyed "second tier." Which is, I suppose, technically correct (compared to Tokyo Custom Shop stuff), but ESP already had the (deserved) recognition as a top-tier pro instrument with the Standard production line, and these are the same guitars.
That said, E-II have a Fishman-equipped white version of the single-pickup, string-thru M-1 (with push/pull volume knob for voicing!) that I kinda need. ;)

You can criticize a company or a product and still enjoy said product or company, criticizing doesnt mean hating. Seem like a lot of people doesnt understand that basic concept.
Nah, i wont buy something else, but i'm paying for the product, i enjoy the product, so i have the right to criticize it how i see fit.
The point here is that Agu said that LTD is supposed to be the affordable counterpart of EII, but that's point is becoming false because the high end LTD are reaching the same price point as EII.
Also i'll answer another comment you made about the Les Paul, they are indeed not sold in USA, those are sold exclusively in Japan ( but you can also find them in China or Russia, basically pretty much anywhere where Gibson copyright claims is just toilet paper )
You can often find them on Reverb, either from individual sellers, or sometimes store in Japan who decided to sell internationaly. the first being the most common.
The price can varry, but usually count on average 1500$ for them.

Just insert modern Gibson in there as well. Anything from ‘04 onwards is more of decorative, expensive firewood to me. God knows Gibson didn’t care about making quality instruments after they started splitting production between the standard models in the regular factory and the custom line and anything custom speced into the Gibson custom shop. They only care about the custom shop now. Everything else in the regular factory is mass produced, expensive garbage.

      @@gameroftheyear1000 Agreed.
On the other hand, I've an SG Pro( that I put Railhammer P90's in) , and a Firebird ( with vintage Mini humbuckers) that I've tweaked into killer road guitars.I would def go Reverend, Yamaha Road star, and maybe even PRS SE ( like the Santana model) before I resorted to Gibson.Damn shame, since my first serious ride was a The Paul.

Not the same founder, just the same owner. Schecter was started completely independently then Mr Shibuya bought the company in 1987

And some would argue ESP is a fake brand because its a copycat for Gibson. That the only thing they are authentic is their headstock shape 😂
