- Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share with you this new around the house style video / get it all done style of video! What do we call them these days?! Let's just hang out together while I get some stuff done around the house and it may inspire you to get some stuff done around your house too and if not then we just got to hang out for a little bit like good 'ol friends do! I started out by throwing some dinner in the crock pot and then I headed to do a ton of laundry! I got so much laundry done thankfully! I even moped today! yes with a real mop and the mop water is truly disgusting, it's fine. whatever. the bissel water always looks like that too! hah! we live here! in our squalor. judge me. Your lime tree will thrive in a large pot! Get a nice big one that it can grow into. Put it on a roller base so you can move it around your patio easier.

Hi Kimberly, I use to live in Florida and the first thing that Floridan's said to my mom and I is to stay out of the damn lakes! Don't swim in the lakes because alligators are in all of the lakes in Florida. So please don't let your children swim or play in that lake! Plus, your chickens is going to be a natural draw for the alligators to come over to your yard.

My favorite channel
We’re going on a cruise because that’s what we look forward to all year! You just show up and relax. Meals are cooked, cabins are cleaned. It’s the only way I’ve ever found for parents to actually have some semblance of a vacation. Now that our kids are older (13&18), cruises are even better!
Back in my day, LOL, my parents did not entertain us all summer. We rode bikes, played badminton, Barbies, records, Vacation Bible School one week at Church. We entertained ourselves. My dad still went to work every day and my mother let us play all day. I think the good old days were much better. I enjoy no plans, no pressure, no clock watching, no schedule. I think you all put too much pressure on making every day of summer vacation as busy as s school year. You should relax and slow down!
My parents did the same thing, told us to leave the house and not to come home until dark. I don't have a good relationship with either of them. lol If my kids are biking, one of us parents are with them, if they're playing soccer outside, we're playing right along side them. That's just what we like to do - be involved. Doesn't mean we're fully entertaining them, but living life along side them to make memories with them :)
Your kids have grown so much! Little Wolfgang isn't so little any more. His little blond head is the cutest.

It might have been! But I used it after that. I brought it outside which I never do!! I think it may have got thrown away.

Sleepaway camp was my favorite thing as a kid! My sisters and I went to an all-girls summer camp (think original "Parent Trap") and LOVED it! I was a camper for six summers and a counselor for three.

We just got back from Branson- Silver Dollar City, The Aquarium at the Boardwalk, and Wonder Works. Pool time at the condo where we stayed. It was a smaller vacation but my kids had a blast. 💜 Love watching you do “all the things” ….you're a great mom!
Hi Kim, thanks for sharing with us... My mum use to wash once a week when i was growing up, we had a twin tub washing machine then.. 6 boys who all played sports!!! You can imagine! No tumble dryer either... lol Yes i get it... 9 people in a house is alot of washing!

As for schedules I pre prepared for our summer this year since we're having a new baby early July so I have a Firm Schedule and a Soft Schedule in place for the days where I can decide if I can be capable of leaving the house or if I need a bit more grace 😅

I don't know if this would work for you, but when I empty the dryer, I fold it into a laundry basket. Then I can put it away when I can, but it's contained, and nothing gets wrinkled and there's no mountain. Less overwhelming, to be sure.

Yes at least fold once or smaller items lay flat. No wrinkles 😊
I don’t think we have a big problem with wrinkles, but I do have the older kids put their stuff away, I’m not doing that. Lol I sort they come and claim their baskets.
I always struggle with the wasted time of this lol! I’ve always been told to fold each item as I take it out of the dryer…but that it 10-15 minutes that my dryer isn’t running with the next load. Lol! I do this with my final load (my towel load) I fold each one and put it on the washer and then carry them all to the towel closet. Bane of my existence though, is when I drop a wash cloth between the washer and dryer 🤢 I feel this irrational want to re-wash it!
Seriously how many times a day do they change clothes. And do they ever use a towel more than once? I also think she's washing clothes over again because the kids don't put them away out of the basket and with things all over the floor, they don't know what is clean and what is dirty, so they get washed again.
It's just 2 of us now but believe me I feel like I spend my time washing dishes, doing Landry and moping the floor lol I'm flying to Canada in September so June, July and August will be low key just visiting around our area (burgundy) bon week-end Kim
I always use mop and bucket, forget about modern gadgets, they have too many pieces to wash or fill. A Traditional sweeping brush, mop & bucket like you have ( easier to refill) and a basic Hoover is really enough. Same for the kitchen, if you have a good set of knives, you don’t need gadgets ( with all those extra pieces to wash) , makes life easier :)
O Cedar is a bunch of hype. I bought into it and I just went back to my bucket and mop. I totally agree. Hope your throat feels better!

In regards to the lime tree, plant that baby I the ground but water it every day for the first year. Baby trees need to stay moist but awesome for the lime!

We did laundry every day. We have 7 grown children. But, like you said, one load doesnt do it. So we did 1 or 2 loads daily....then one day a week we did like 6-10. Lol. You are such a good mama. Cici's pizza! Had them all over in NC. I haven't seen one here in Idaho. My favorite was always jalapeño and pepperoni. I still make it when I do homemade pizzas. I love watching your little nuggets get into the mixing bowl. I've got a 3 year old velcro baby, and he's rapidly becoming a master chef because of how much time we spend together in the kitchen. It makes me laugh seeing how you handle what life throws at you, 'cause same.

When it comes to the lime tree, should either plant it in a spot facing east or west (like on either the eastside of the house or the westside of it) so it gets sun for only the morning or afternoon, not in a spot with full sun. ☀️⛅
You can leave your lime tree in a pot as long as u move it to a bigger pot when necessary….you will have to feed it occasionally and keep it in a partly sunny spot. Good luck 😊

You can put a slice of bread in your brown sugar container and it keeps your sugar from getting hard and clumped together. My great grandma taught me that and I always do it, works amazing!
