its not easy changing a tyre, ad rather take the car to a tyre centre and let them remove the tyre, you have to remove the wheel from the vehicle then you need tyre levers to remove the tyre and then a compressor and lead weight to balance it no thanks
2:17 - Also notice how he tightens them always 2 nuts over from the one he just tightened. Even tightening. Also don't fully tighten any nuts until all of them are on and hand-tightened and then loosely tightened (then fully tightened). Makes sure everything is nice and lined up. ALSO always be under the assumption that the jack WILL fail. So you don't want your hands above the wheel, where the wheel arch will destroy your hand/wrist. You want to lift the wheel in more of a 8 and 4 hand position (as far as a 12 hour clock goes). Also, the "tyre" is just the black rubber tread part. So "wheel" is the right terminology, but I understand the decision as far as getting more clicks.

Thank you so much for this video!🙌 Today I changed my first car tyre at 15 years old! Goodluck to all the other youngsters who change theirs for the first time💛 Girl power!⭐️
you said at the end get a tire change as soon as possible. Are you saying that this is a temporary fix and I would need to then go get a tire change professionally?
Technically, the title is still valid. By changing the wheel, you are effectively changing the tyre, as there is a different tyre on the other wheel. It's only a temporary fix. Replacing a tyre over a rim is a much more professional task and you're not going to have the equipment required for it by the roadside.

A tip for anyone if they're having problems undoing the wheel nuts is to push down on the tyre iron by standing on it, but stabilise yourself by putting a hand or two on the car so you don't fall over. Lefty loosy righty tighty.
I took out rear tires and when I put them back on, I only hand tighten the lug nuts with the 19mm socket and no wrench. (I did make sure the tire is on the hub surface flat and hand tightne it as much as I can) Then I didn't tighten it more with wrench and just lowered it and torque it to 100 ft/lb. Is it ok? (when I tighten it on the ground I didn't hear any weird noise or anything, it seemed to went pretty smoothly)
@@SweetAlexMore the same tyre is on the wheel as before. It's just that a different wheel is now on the car. This is not changing a tyre, it's changing a wheel
Yeah, those fuckers practically scam you for how simple of a job it is. It's not difficult at all, at the end of the day, you're just loosening and re-tightening some bolts.

We have been in France for a couple of months and have recently been forced to deal with RAC services - as this is the company with whom we have our car insure - in order to fix a simple flat tyre. In mid-April we contacted one of RAC’s subcontractor garages to help us with a replacement of the punctured tyre - as advised by RAC themselves. The garage “specialist” used a hammer and damaged the disk completely, even getting a part stuck inside the tyre itself, after which he said we needed to bring the car into a garage 80+km away from our home. On the literal other side of Paris. We were afterwards invoiced for the repair of this tyre. In spite of our disagreement to pay for the damage that was done not by us but by the so-called “specialist”, we were told that the RAC would not support us. A few weeks later we came to the garage to pay for the bill in order to collect the car - as our need to have a form of transport was becoming crucial. We found that the car NOT ONLY still did not have the tyre fixed, but also found holes in all 4 disks of the wheels(!!!!) So, after a whole MONTH, after our attempts to contact RAC and get help with the situation, we are now left with the following: 1. a tire that still isn’t fixed 2. holes in ALL 4 WHEELS 3. removed bolts in all the disks 4. a bill for 500€ (!!!!) 5. a confirmation that the RAC are not responsible for their contractors 6. a car that is not operable and we cannot physically move from that garage The service we have received from the RAC has been atrocious - I’m pretty sure the situation with the “specialist” was created on purpose to make us have to bring the car to the garage in order to pay for it being there. We are now left with a car which still isn’t operable, a hefty bill which has been created out of thin air and ZERO support from the RAC.
So nobody read the car owners manual? Every car manufacturer states the torque (nm or ft/lb) for safely tighten the log nuts. So using a wrench and a torque wrench will do the perfect job. Now : 1. What is written in the manual, are lies and we have to ignore those info Or 2. The guy in the video doesn't know. I wonder which one is correct.. All the best!!!
Here’s something they don’t tell you but if the wheels haven’t been off for a while put two of the wheel nuts back on loose and give the tyre not the wheel the tyre a good kick at the top, be careful not to kick the car off the jack. And when putting back together give the contact area a clean and some copper grease if you have any because it’ll help for getting it off the next time

can you place the used spare tyre back in the trunk once you make it to a "tyre shop" and buy new tyres??
