I have 2 bushes in my driveway a black one and a white one and the white one does the same it smoked and almost started a fire and it was the spider problem they are the same made as that currys
Ifb person told we need to change rubber as rubber become hard

Thank you for this, I now know what's wrong with my Whirlpool machine now, so the best thing to do would be to just get a new washing machine then.

Just came across your video my washing just done same and smoke coming from draw and in side washing machine . And has done same rubber near drum . It smells of rubber . I am just going get new one .
This is exactly what mine did today. It smelled like burning rubber though. It was as awful. Same noise and drum moving as well. But also a thin piece of rubber strip came out of it as well.

My 1 year old Indesit did just that. It started spinning at max speed regardless of setting and then smoke everywhere, smelled like burned rubber. Now I know what’s wrong with it
That is alot of smoke there!
Yup our beko wmb did this! It melted the seal and it melted so much it was burnt and ended up melting a bit of the tub by shredding that also
Was the damage caused beyond fixing? Because our machine (Which is the same model as yours) did this today

I think these Vestel machines have a spider that corrodes very easily. I am from Malta, and they are the most popular under various names, an many times they have a broken spider. Strangely enough I acquired a Crown 1060T with a perfect drum and bearings, but the triac was burnt, making it spin straight up to 1000rpm!
I made a video about a Candy with a dead triac, replaced it and it worked. Malta is a nice place. I jumped of the azure window once.

Update: so I had Indesit engineer come to check it. Apparently it’s ok for washing machines to smoke! All you need to do is scrape the visible burnt rubber and clean your washer with indesit branded cleaner! You know, the expensive one. So yay! We’re good! Let’s burn the house down (read that with very sarcastic tone)

Hey my front load washing machine does make squeaking noise at certain place , its 6 years old . Is it the issue of the sleeve or the belt?
I suspect that there may be a mouse in there squeaking!

It's prolly smoking because there is some friction between rubber and something else. Looks like a friction thing tho for sure.
I think having water in there might help though. I've got a Samsung inverter machine best thing I ever bought... Well washing machine wise.

Mine did this today but with tons of smoke which stank of burning rubber, like someone doing a wheel spin in a pub car park!

The spider support bracket for the drum has broken and the drum is rubbing because it is running eccentrically. There is rarely an economic repair for this fault

My TCL washer dryer just did this on our first use. I thought it was normal since it was on intensive mode.

@@bootsowen but I was using the intensive mode which includes steaming. That's why I thought it was normal.

What is the solution?
It needs a new inner tub (it bends at back), outer tub with bearings, spider bracket and door bellows. It is cheaper to replace than repair unless owner does the work themself. It takes a couple of hours. The only time i repair them if its under warranty otherwise its about a $1500 repair.
Also mine is a different brand

Maybe you did it wrong? How do you know it nearly caught fire?

@@bootsowen And yes. I hotwired it correctly. Phase in a brush, neutral in a winding and jumper from brush to winding.
And somehow it didn’t trip the RCBO ( I made an extension socket with an RCBO)
sounds like you did it right, the windings may just have been dead or nearly dead. how long did you run it for? did you make a video?
Bad spider arm. About 100 dollar part . Not hard to replace. Weekend diy.

you could repair it - seems your not interested to do so (might be a waste of your time- since you know the parts name; or maybe you dont know how and not mechicly inclinned ) but it can be repaired

Absence of heat is an issue, could it be a chemical reaction, caused by friction between drum and seal?
Maybe try a few fire 🔥 lighters or something and maybe it might ZIP ⚡️
I don't know what it is, it isn't hot so it is some kind of weird smoke.

The door seal is rubbing the drum.
