  • My wife Diane had a terrible accident on May 5th of this year with her VW Sportwagen! She is now in a wheelchair and can no longer ride in the Bumble Bee! We are offering it for sale for $25,000 which includes the Arcimoto trailer. [1] 352-279-7727 or darrellgrademacher@gmail.com
    Al of the owners of Arcimoto FUV's need to see this! My little dog "Bandit" was not able to sit on the back seat with his little googles and helmet due to the excess wind and rain striking him in his face. Same problem existed for my wife Diane and other passengers. The wind striking the passenger takes their breath away and hurting their eyes! My wife refused to ride with me any longer until I solved the problem. Tried to install side windows without success. Finally in desperation I came up with the idea of a 2nd poly carbonate windshield. That was the solution! Total cost of the materials is about $50.00. I will send any owner of an Arcimoto this passenger windshield kit for $135.00 that covers the parts and labor. Note that this modification does not void the Arcimoto warranty. PS...don't need helmets with face covering any longer! Takes 15 minutes to install. Contact me at; darrellgrademacher@gmail.com or sales@xcpcorp.com. My cell/text is 352-279-7727.

    I added an adapted car window vent shade kit that widened my windshield and roof by two inches. Shade and more wind protection. Passengers will always get more wind and spray than the driver. Arcimoto did not 'forget' anything.

    Here’s a thought why not enclose the whole thing. I would hate to have no windows when it rains

      I installed the 2nd windshield behind the drivers seat. My wife would not go with me until I did this for her.

    I like the idea, but my first thought is that as it is mounted behind the frame instead of in front, in the event of a failure, your passenger could end up with a face full of poly.

    • @XCPCORP
      @XCPCORP  Před rokem +1

      Yes...though of that too. That is why only 1/8" Poly. The driver would have the impact without an airbag vs a metal driver seat frame protecting from any impact. If anything saving your face with the poly that does not shatter.

    Where did you find the rubber clamps?

    • @XCPCORP
      @XCPCORP  Před rokem

      On the internet. Search for "stainless steel 1 inch clamps" Same for the 16mm length stainless steel carriage bolts & KEP nuts. Make a card board template. Then purchase a sheet of 1/8 inch Polycarbonate material. Use an electric saw with a fine type blade. Drill out 4mm holes for the carriage bolts. Other option is order the complete kit for $135.00 from XCP Corp. Happy to help.

      How about a "Person" starting a business making and selling this option? But, there'd have to be a lot of FUVs out there to make $$$. Just another thing Arcimoto would overcharge if they made it. Call it the in-law barrier.

    You should reach out to the former Tampa police chief. Since she needs a golf cart to cross the street, a FUV will do the job 🇺🇸

    Helmets are not recommended. As you are strapped in tight with the belts, helmets would only add weight to your head in the event of a crash, raising the risk of whiplash. You are infinitely safer without them.

      Arcimoto has been too busy with production and service of existing customers. Same problem with the cruise control. Our son is a computer programming expert. He explained to us that the existing firmware is very basic and missing important items like "Cruise Control". Our company is a manufacturing company. It was very easy to manufacture the new Polycarbonate passenger windshield kit for our Arcimoto FUV customer owners. cost is only $135.00! Order now.
