Why would they think they are doing a Good thing by telling people Not To Kneel during Receiving Jesus on their tongue? I Believe IT IS ONLY BECAUSE THEY ARE PUTTING JESUS ON THE HAND'S! AN ABOMINATION BEING DONE TO THE BODY OF CHRIST!!
At the last supper, I don't think Jesus had the apostles kneel and place his body on their tongues. Whether receiving on the tongue or hand, realize you are receiving Jesus and act accordingly with reverence and respect. I prefer receiving in the hand; I've had some close calls of the priest or minister dropping the host. What I really prefer is the way I received my first communion: we kneeled at a covered railing with our hands under the covering with the priest placing the host on our tongues.
When I was a young kid, and until we received on hand, our priest touched everyone's tongue when he put the host, and it was gross. Maronite churches do intinction and on tongue so you get both Elements. If priest and communicant does it right, that is perfect.
The problem with bureaucratic belief systems, is that they inevitably become autocratic, authoritarian, and corrupted. The Catholic Church, like many other religious and non-religious organizations, meets the definition of a cult. If you read the Gospels, what you find there, has little connection to most of the religious organizations which lay claim to Christ's message and ministry. Everyone wants to own the pie, and failing in that, they slice it up, and squabble over the crumbs. Humans will always behave this way. We are wired for it. The teachings in the Gospel present an effective road map for sane living, but few people actually follow Christ's advice, least of all those opportunists who pick away at the Gospels, trying to claim them for their own corrupted purposes. The best advice I can give to Christians, is to set aside all sectarianism, and all church-dominated notions of what is sanctioned and what is not, and simply return to the core meaning in not just the New Testament, but in the Old Testament as well. Let no religious bureaucrat tell you what to think, what to believe, how to worship, or how to conduct the affairs of daily living. Read the Bible, if you wish, and make up your own mind about what you find there. Remember that religion and spirituality are seldom fellow travelers. Organized religion is often the enemy of critical thinking, and more often that not it stunts the growth of spiritual man. Jesus spent a great deal of time contending with Jewish bureaucrats, who found fault with most of his ministry, because it threatened their orthodoxy, and their hold on power. Jesus was not an insider. His message was startling and revolutionary. It favored the seed, not the husk. Jesus came to shake things up, not to enforce a bureaucracy. The Catholic Church claims to be the one true voice of the faith, the keeper of the flame, if you will. The truth is that the Church is a wealthy, politically powerful religious bureaucracy -- precisely the kind of organization which Christ had no patience for, and which schemed against him.
