When you watch stuff like this you have to wonder how the human race has survived so long.
luck, nanny state and prosperity. All 3 have run out, hold on tight.
women
It wont be long now!
Government ejamaction, tv and toothpaste fluoridation is partly to blame.
this is the funniest comment i’ve ever seen
What is unbelievable is not the height of the water, but the sheer stupidity from some people!🤦🏻♂️
Still, very entertaining!😬😬
It's almost like the idiots do not know how their machine works in the first place.
Absolutely
No, actually you don’t know the depth of the water until you actually Get in there. 🙃 Ah dhurrr I do see a measure stick there though….
Brilliant
100%
I love how the 100 year old car literally just DID NOT CARE. 😂
It's one of the most suitable car for the situation, out of all of them...
- Fairly tall
- Doesn't rely on electrics
@@Master10k2 Also no front wrap-around bumper, skirt, spoiler or air-dam to create a massive bow-wave that would fill the engine bay.
I still think it was unfair to the little thing though (an Austin 7 Chummy btw).
Back in those days the old country roads were like this ford everywhere
2:15 - Lovely old Austin Seven, Lovely old couple, Lovely day, lovely photogenic English scene . . . . . everything's just *LOVELY!*
When the driver realises their car is now a boat 😂
Dude looks like he’s just spawned
Yeah that depth gauge... I'll just plow on by.
@@volvo09 Which depth gauge ? 😂😂
The moment you realise that your DNA is 99% chimpanzee😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
Lovely old Austin. Great to have you back Ben
That moment when the BMW seemed to have survived....but then we see that it did not. What a relief!
BMW’s rarely make it through unscathed 😁
What parasite rejoices at a new car getting totalled and the owner financially ruined. smh
@@CptAngelKGaming LOL! Your name is "angel"! That's hilarious! Try to be more observant next time so you don't embarass yourself. You are the only one who doesn't know what's going on here.
@@CptAngelKGaming Poor thing, maybe next time you should use your eyes and practice those observation skills you were taught when you learnt to drive.
@@CptAngelKGaminggreat joy..... Another BMW off the road and out of the way. Trouble is they build them faster than the owners can wreck them.
BMW are brilliant cars, designed and crafted by geniuses. Shame about the ignorant individuals who drive them. 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
That jag at the start trying to get through 3 feet of water 🤦♂️
Also, great to see Brum can get through the floods!
You could see the water level in the passenger seat!
What muppet.. at his age. to be that stupid. the depth sign is right there
Yeah, I knew going through almost 1m of water was not going to end well! Surprised that the driver had to be rescued via the Fire Service!
At least when Rufford was still open, there were people waiting to tow the stranded away to safety.
What a numb nut, 12 inches of water would be max to wade in a car, 3 ft, what was he thinking
@@TheSpotify95 that is the ford into our village (Naunton Beauchamp, Worcs.). The gentleman drove through despite 'Road Closed' sign placed at the egress from the village and Warning and depth indicated signage at the ford. He had medical issues which is why the ES were summoned. A kind fellow villager took him in to dry out and warm up.
I like how the Range Rover at 1:20 stopped so they could run over the small branch too. Extra skill points.
I wonder if that was automated braking? Many newer cars have it
That lonely Mini cooper. There all by itself
😢
You could hear the mini (2nd car) hydrolock and break a connecting rod. Not super loud, but audible.
what's it's numberplate supposed to say - TRASHY? very apt!
Mechanics tip for you, when doing a headgasket, make sure bolt holes are clear of oil or water, otherwise they hydrolock as you tighten them.
TOP TIP,. i never knew that,.@@richardburns5925
You could also hear the first one (the Jag) go pop too.
'connecting rod' dude just making up words lmao
Felt genuinely bad for the old fella in the Jag X-Type at the start.....
But nobody else 😂
XF matey 👍
Haha brilliant 😂 I felt a bit sorry for the guy with the jag at the start, but then I gave my head a wobble.
Thanks Ben 👍🏼
I’m glad the Mk2 golf survived 🤙🏽🤙🏽
he didn't even see the water
Holy shit, the fact the guy thought he’d drive his jag into 3+ ft of water and it would be fine is unbelievable.
He's lost a bag of money there
😂 car insurance pay out - NO
The first scenario involving the Jag is the ford into our village (Naunton Beauchamp, Worcs.). The gentleman drove through despite 'Road Closed' sign placed at the egress from the village and Warning and depth indicated signage at the ford. He had medical issues which is why the ES were summoned. A kind fellow villager took him in to dry out and warm up.
It is also deceptively dangerous in the summer when the ford is low due to slimy algae growth when just a few inches deep. A cyclist came off and broke his femur in the hot spell last year. Fortunately there was a couple with a RV parked there to help him, as the ford is about quarter mile from nearest residence. Dog-walking along there, we often warn cyclists to use the footbridge even if the ford has little depth, who sometimes retort in a rude manner. One such tosser came off after shaking head and tutting at us...oh the karma
Many years ago I tried crossing a weir that was in steps, that only had a couple of inches of water flowing at each step, and I slipped on the algae, got absolutely covered in the stuff, and stank.
It's a curious thing to be ignored when giving advice as 'a local', I was ignored despite saying I'd lived in my area since I was 3, when a holidaying couple asked for directions and I directed them back in the direction they'd just come. I don't know how else I could have communicated I knew what I was talking about other than saying how long I'd lived there? They completely ignored me. 🙂
@@timothydraper6626Astonishing how important it is for some people to be "right" even when they clearly are not! Why? I remember once seeing someone on a train completing a sudoko and furiously writing in numbers - many of which were clearly wrong! I remember thinking - what's the point - it's all wrong! Strange. I know a couple of people who "get things done", and think they are efficient, but badly - and don't take any notice of others who know better. I don't get that mentality at all!
"ES" = "emergency services" (?); "RV" = "rescue vehicle" (?).
Medical issues? Mental health issues if he thinks his Jag can drive through the best part of a meters with of standing 💧 water.
Love the old car 2:19
That was truly cool!
If your car starts floating down the stream, you know you're in deep water.
Thank you for that! Maybe they should put oars in certain cars - for such emergencies.
Love the two shots of the little old timer and the truck going all the way through the flooded road. There is something immensely satisfying about watching them travel through it for 10+ seconds or so.
1:02 you heard that.. CRUNCH! The sounds of rods valves and all sorts kissing water and snapping and bending.. 🍻
Yup, heard that one. Nasty! Expensive.
Poor old man with the Jag🙈
Так ему и надо, мозгов за жизнь не нажил.
The Austin, oldest car there, made it through flawlessly 🤣
Unlike modern cars, no front wrap-around bumper, skirt, spoiler or air-dam to create a massive bow-wave that would fill the engine bay.
Who sees a 3ft deep flood and thinks oh yes my jaguar will make that
He was an old boy , probably not 100%
@@MaxMax-th7uz And still allowed to drive.
nar-issists
Nothing would make it , except perhaps a tractor. Funny though as he gets out right by the depth sign. First class idiot
Cats don't do water 😒
Normally I'd laugh but I felt sorry for that old boy in the Jag 😢
Stones on you filming all these poor buggers though regards 😂
The first clip - that of the old guy driving into Seaford ford - baffles me. He can only have come from the village of Naunton Beauchamp, there is no such thing as "through traffic" on that stretch of road. I do not understand how he could have been unaware of the risk given how often that ford floods.
Trust me on this, I've driven through (and turned back from!) that little ford plenty of times. I even tried to ride a bicycle through it once. Never again. It is unbelievably slippy! I fell off as does everyone else daft enough to try it.
Great content Ben - great that the little early 1930s Austin 7 RP saloon wasn't fazed at all !.
No front wrap-around bumper, skirt, spoiler or air-dam to create a massive bow-wave that would fill the engine bay.
They were built for adverse conditions in the day.
2:10 proves that old is gold
Love that water depth indicator so clearly hidden from view 😂😂😂😂😂
The place even looks like Rufford Ford with the bridge etc!
the only thing its missing are the performance clowns in jacked up 4wd's and the adoring crowds trying to get hit by them.
someone needs to go there and unofficially open the ford back up!
Damn.. wouldnt take that risk if I had an M4
Good to see how alert they are to the sign that clearly says 3ft (1m) of water. I wonder how good their driving skills are in terms of driving with undue care and attention. Duh.
People don't read signs - well known fact. Especially people driving in cars.
0:10 you should add the soundtrack of “we are sailing” with this
Just like Rufford, some of the drivers must be braindead.
Cracking video 👍🏾
I love when they start floating. Ha ha the walk of shame 🤣
👏👏👏 THANKS BEN ......HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY EVERYONE ✌️
Surely the star of the video is the Austin 7 ! Breezed it and probably didn’t even get any water inside….well…maybe a small amount.
2:34 that smile made my day. She’s loving it.
Ha the mini ‘let me ram water directly into my engine’
Was going to say how did the Red BMW estate keep going ……next shot..it didn’t 😮😮
I Just said that.. lol.
funny how jag driver had is wipers still on😂
Yes Ben on tour
brilliant video
very relaxing to watch asmr
Awesome video Ben 👍🏻
Shame about the Mini - looked like a decent one, pretty rare sunroof car, chilli pack, etc and also judging by its MOT history - only 58k miles.
That plate is on a Kia Soul now. RIP mini😂
He or she went in too hard! The water rushed through the engine block... You can forget about it then.
The wade of shame 😂
When 3 feet deep is seen as a challenge
1:02 - that Mini engine made some hideous clattering sounds. I'd say it sucked some water in, hydro-locked then bent a few things. Expensive!
2:33 - while all the modern cars with their front wrap-around skirts, bumpers, air-dams and spoilers throw up big bow waves, the old Austin 7 just cruises on through with no bow-wave to fill the engine bay.
Nearly a Metre on the first flood, my SUV is only rated for 500mm so I wouldn't try it. But in a normal car? crazeee!

@@raftonpounder6696 Just short of a meter
@@Wayoutthere metre.
Poor old chap in his Jag, first time I have felt sorry for one of these drivers.
I'm laughing, but also crying at the rank stupidity and waste!
Great footage. Mate 👍
Uh oh, we've got a floater! 😂
Clearly driving in at 40mph is the best way to hydrolock your engine. That mini is an example of that.
Two depth signs showing the water at 1m... carries on driving up to them... tries to drive past them. What the feck is the matter with people.
3’
3 point turns are really difficult ,.....
He should have turned his wipers off or he's gonna flatten the battery 😁
Having a flat battery really is the least of your concerns when you've got stranded in 3ft of water, probably broken your engine, ruined your interior (you could see the water in the car), and had to call the Fire Service to get you rescued out of trouble...
@@TheSpotify95 Sarcasm mate 😂
The jag driver at the start, how thick can you be? Unbelievable 😂
Nice vid Ben 👍
The old guy in the Jag must have thought the sign showing almost 1 metre deep water was some kind of sick joke.
Don't think the window wipers are going to help on that first car 😂
The depth board is clear obviously the on switch for their brains isn’t!😊
The 🔔 end in the bmw was the best. Typical 4x4 driver thinking their invincible. Bet that was costly 😂😂
Some speed into it so fast it reminds me of the log flumes at a theme park.😂
And the black mini is still there to this day 😂
I've watched Channel grow like crazy
Very nice vid ben
Thank you so much!
Jag driver just gets out leaves the door open and the wipers on, you know what he's thinking "this is somebody else's problem now".
Rumour has it the mini is still there to this day, watching every other car make drive on by. Lol
Just unclog the drain and be done!😂
When the insolent river won’t recede for my Jag.
The red BMW 🤣
Who knew so many cars are rightoffs due to flooding. And all through the drivers negligence too 😂. Bit scary buying second hand
This is my weekly meditation
Stupidity will never die...
Why would you attempt to drive a car through 3 ft of water? Ah the Austin 19 inch wheels are a good start!
There are clear markers indicating the depth of the water!
Depth markers both sides, should have got to spec savers. Always good to know how much water your vehicle can swim in.
the little ramp at each end of the ford could of literally of solved the problem of the speeding idiots at rufford ford....they should just install some humps.....problem solved
I,m guessing this is the new" rufford ford" ? posh version without all the riff raff onlookers ,.
i love how the range rover lowered the suspension after
SERIOUSLY WHAT A BELL END 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤬
The good old Austin had no problems :D
What are these people thinking 🤣🤣🤣
I was in a car with a friend and water was coming up the bonnet but we made it through then for miles after the engine coughed and he asked if he should stop and dry the plugs. I said it might be best to keep going and let the engine heat dry things out.
Don't forget to dry off the brakes after or you won't be stopping.
Those depth indicators are there for a reason.
The salesman at jag needs to stop selling these as submarines
I've been Jonesin for some Flooded Fords!
WAWAW!
I once had to drive through something worse than this. Not by choice. It was at the tip of Windermere and the road was flooded. There were cars behind so I couldn’t go backwards. In front of me was a 3 series BMW which had flooded sat in the middle of the road. I prayed as I went for it. Miracle that I made it through but it left a hell of a mess.
Madness
unbelievable!! most stock 4x4 can go like 2 feet deep unmodified.... and here goes the guy in Jaaaaag atackin 3 feet deep of water :)
The new version of the ford
well that's a bummer old chap
The arrogance of the white range sport coming out of wade mode when he cleared the ford 🤣🤣🤣🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love tractors.
Sorry for the question. What are the hourly rates for car repairs in the UK? I assume something like 1.2 British pounds an hour?
have Jag, will float!
(pillock, it clearly showed the level at 3ft deep)
Its hydrolocking ASMR
I cannot believe seeing so many people knowingly drive into a "trap" with their expensive cars.
Must have been really frustrating for the Mini to see all those other cars get through.
