The sniper rifle feels like it has an almost 1/2 second delay between mouse click and it actually firing
I thought I was going crazy not landing any sniper shots but seeing you miss a few makes me feel a little better

@@StrawHatTony420 nah dude unfortunately we need aim assist without it, itâs a harsh reality
the aim assist is just different. instead of slowing your sensitivity down when the reticle is placed on an enemy, the sensitivity is not changed but it tracks the enemy. forcing you to use your left stick instead of the right stick
I fully agree that aiming in Infinite is way different from other Halo games
Haven't played Halo in a good 10 years it was great to see it still has the same spirit
4:26 - 4:28 is precisely why the blue / red outline system is so dumb. You face an enemy who has a red, blue, and white armour colour, then turn to the right and find a team mate with the exact same red, blue, and white armour. On a cosmetic level-you sometimes can't even tell what the enemy looks like anyways because the glow is so strong. But other times, you'll find an enemy who looks EXACTLY like you and hesitate for a second. I feel like they can monetize cosmetics within the red v blue parameters. MCC does it.
I think this could be solved if they made the icons for your teammates more noticeable, like in Halo 3 where your teammates had their 3 character code above their heads 100% of the time. Then anyone who didn't have the icon above their head would be an enemy.
@@Polemarchus404 I think I would like that from a team play standpoint because I currently can't quickly identify teammate callouts. But I wouldn't want the enemy to not have some indication of being against us because they can literally be dressed in the same costume and colour.
The X when team mates die should be bigger and more noticeable imo , 1 shot my X and I can hardly see where it is being so used to halo 3
@@IIMIKEYMOII I personally have only had one error throughout my time playing, otherwise i think the red glow is enough to see. In the one error, the enemy was wearing the light blue armor and they came at me so quickly that I wasnât able to get a good enough glimpse to tell they werenât friendly. But I will say I saw Mint Blitz changed his enemy colors to bright yellow and seemingly upped the saturation, and it looked very easy to tell whoâs who
This is absolute facts. The red blue and white armor is so cheese. Iâd almost definitively say that it gives those players an advantage. Iâve also had trouble playing against enemies wearing a full blue suit, while being on the red team (and vice versa). Honestly i wish more people were talking about this

While yes he is playing ranked, there is still casuals who play ranked. If anything Iâd love to see him compete in halo tournaments with really good players and see howd he do, I know recently he went again Royal 2 but that was in fiesta lol but for sure fatrat has some skill that rivals the pros
Tbh I like the fact that ar is powerful in social but not enough to overshadow other weapons strengths.
The AR is actually worth holding on to, it's good at close range when someone feels like getting a little too close. I actually love it. It's using my favorite model, and it sounds great.

The ranked settings in this game are so much better than social. Ranked is the way to play in infinite.

@@PO3TRYN3NTROPY I guess so, and true to some degree since I wasn't a true MP nut until 2013-ish.
But the fact is that I've played Halo since 2001, and I know exactly what I like and don't from each game. I like the snapinness and responsiveness of Infinite's movement, reminds me of H2 (I love H2) and I think the gunplay is as solid as it has ever been.
Compared to Halo 3, even though I'm relatively above average, I was never a fan of projectile bullets. And I've always said that it feels like the Spartan have sandbags on their ankles.
This guy looks like he's kind of good. Reaction and choices. Though they don't add up when you're treating Team Slayer like FFA. This coming from a player that in-person played H2 and H3 against the likes of Neighbor, TSquared, Walshy, FearItself, Hysteria etc. Strategy through unifying a team is still king. Positioning wasn't bad but seemed like a teammate we booted because he couldn't stick to the game plan.
Can't get too far against a real team going maverick. Call out everything. Run alternate gameplans on the fly.
Still, nice shooting Tex.
Personally I like the player outlines, ai quips and fast movement. Itâs more of an evolution of the classic arcade shooter and gives the game character.
the halo infinite sniper is sooo hard to use, glad I'm not the only one, its even harder when ur playing at 30fps on an xbox one

God enemies are so hard to see as red. Take a tip from the quake pros. Bright green is the best enemy color. Best contrast against most colors AND its the fastest color for your brain to process.

Car la tu viens de confirmer ma dĂ©cision ! Je reviens sur Xbox, le systĂšme halo online me manque trop pas besoin de gros graphique, juste un systĂšme de jeu propre et un gros respect dans la communautĂ©, moi juste déçu que sa sois pas Bungie mais 343, mais en multijoueur ca reste un Halo propre. @@JoshuaGutz the reticle blooms when no scoping on sniper now. The bloom takes longer to reset than double tapping the weapon swap button. I am referring to the interaction at 3:12 and not when he is deliberately switching to BR to finish the kill.
For clarity, reticle bloom occurs every shot and expands the area where the bullet may travel. If you shoot too quickly you may miss the target completely due to expanded reticle. Hope this makes sense.

there is aim assist but is very low. They did it so it would be more balanced with pc players. Imo it makes no sense. Controllers need aim assist and good aim assist at that

I've been enjoying the new Halo so far, but man I'm not digging the chatter. AI speaks too much and the Spartan combat chatter sounds so much like Call of Duty. "Tossin a frag" "Enemy Below" "Spartan down". It just sounds like generic shooter shit SOMETIMES with a sprinkle of difference, but it isn't great. At least the guns sound great, though. The firing of the battle rifle and all of the reload sounds are very satisfying.

The infinite sniper doesnât quick scope like the other halos. Doesnât have that snappy feel. Iâm having trouble getting used to it,

I don't like the spree medals being next to the reticle. They should be at the left like in Halo 3!
Other than the faulty progression system, my only issues with game play are: radar radius is not big enough, and nades and footsteps are too quiet.
They already increased the radius for btb, but social slayer 4vs4 doesn't really need more. I think it encourages people to rely more on awareness and audio queues (audio in this game is great, I've been able to hear people sneaking up on me without relying on the radar)

The footsteps are too quiet for no radar
No radar sweat fest but they have a British guy telling you when to reload and throw grenades đđ like if I can figure out how to handle 4 people trying to kill me, I can handle when to reload and pick up rockets.. good grief.

Emphasis is more on awareness than crouching around a corner. Because you can't see what's coming everyone keeps moving forward. You get into soo many gun fights without radar it's way more fun. I use a headset and could hear footsteps fine, but seems like a valid complaint if you are using TV speakers.
Hey fatrat, do you think this game is missing some major things, or needs tweaking with the reticle? Personally I feel I as if thereâs equipment that would work well with this game as there are many long range confrontations that occur in these maps and I feel limited in those situations. Things like the power drain or regenerator would be awesome in infinite. Also the radar is plain awful when it comes to distance, and melee is super janky.

Does anyone have thoughts on why the sniper is so weird to use on controller? On mouse/board it feels so nice and easy for me, but that's not my preferred method of playing halo.

Having a really hard time adjusting to the mechanics in this. I mainly play h3, anyone got any tips at all?
the aim assist is just different. instead of slowing your sensitivity down when the reticle is placed on an enemy, the sensitivity is not changed, but it tracks the enemy, forcing you to use your left stick instead of the right stick. you can see fatrat is getting used to this too when heâs in gunfights. he puts 3 bursts to the body and overaims when transferring to the head because heâs used to the sensitivity being slowed. all i play is halo 3 and iâm still having trouble adjusting.

The look sensitivity feels crazy when aiming, I tried lowering it from default 5 to 4 and it was a bit better, but I don't want to give up a competitive advantage. I really wanna sort this issue out cause this is the first halo game that's been like GOOD good since h3 imo.
@@tatenrobison7952 also, if you have any advice as far as the deadzone settings and look accel on top of the horizontal and vertical sensitivity that would be great. That stuff kinda goes over my head.
Iâd like to play more of this, but I had 7 crashes in one day and I donât want to get an indefinite suspension, all I play is a Big Team Battle. Iâm on the Xbox One 2014 model if that matters.
Same model and no issues here. You should check your modem and router setup. Might have an issue there.
On my router I have my Xbox set to priority for the bandwidth. And I'm under the recommended limit for devices it can support at one time.
Hopefully you get that fixed so you can dive back into it!

I miss the red armor vs blue armor system. The outline system sucks. I can work with it but the armor color was better.
Iâm no fan of streamers by any means. That being said, Watching Halo matches and tourneys has been like a sport to me forever. It hits different then all the hungry desperate streams like stone and the like.

Gameplay is pretty fun, but I still donât like the overall theme and atmosphere of matchmaking. The anime style intros, the AI, the Spartans talking, the way steitzer says his lines, etc.
Idk what's wrong but my halo 3 sensitivity is at 10 and this game also 10 but it feels so slow yet fast when I'm trying to out br someone
