The show really wasn't the same without Charlie
Clearly the show runners thought the same as they seemed to really cling onto Charlie's narrative even after he was "gone"
It was a totally different show, totally inferior product. The Charlie Sheen years were I Love Lucy; the Ashton Kutcher years were The Lucy Show/Here's Lucy.
Funny how an outfit can look on different people. Charlie look very suave wearing that outfit and Alan looks like a fool.
It's not the clothes, that's just how Alan always looks.

man they really didn't need to hire a new actor to fill in for Charlie they had the perfect replacement right on the set the entire time
True. They just ruined themselves by adding all these side actors. They could have restructure the existing cast, like Herb for more screen time.
