My theory is that there's a moon portal deep underground, alll the way under the water- in an airtight room so they aren't constantly draining all the earth's oxygen into space.
From there, they'd have a gel-making plant.
A completely underwater Aperture Lab would be really cool to see and definitely something they would actually do!

I'm impressed that you still are doing portal 2 stuff. I love portal 2, and have been watching your channel for months now, yet only recently actually subscribed. I was expecting you to move on to another game, but the fact that you still do portal stuff means that you deserve everything. Love this channel.
Hi sorry for the late reply and thank you so much for watching for so long too, i have done a few other games and do want to do more but for now the channel is just portal community stuff because there's so much great content out there made by so many really talented people, and i still love this game.

9:11 -- what if the rig is on the moon? Aperture would definitely have an oil rig on the moon
Really creative map though! I feel like you should be able to spin that Valve like you did. This is definitely story mode level detailed map. GG to the map creator. Absolutely amazing.
Yeah that valve so looks like it needs to be interacted with, but we've probably been conditioned to think that way because of Half Life lol

The longer videos are better because we get to enjoy them more but remember not to overwork yourself.
The length always comes down to just how long it takes to complete the map to be honest, but yeah the weird maps always tend to be on the shorter side which makes sense.

That was a very cool map! I've always wanted to make an oil rig themed map. Maybe one day :)
it would make sense for Aperture to have an oil rig, somewhere out in international waters, shrouded in thick fog, well away from the prying eyes and silly laws of any goverment :D

i really like environmental puzzles. they can get very creative with their solutions because they can be literally anything! even a unsuspecting pineapple.🍍👍

interesting map! very cool with the plugs, though i feel they could be executed slightly better...
The cables where a bit ropey (excuse the pun) physics wise, i cant imagine it's an easy thing to make work though, i can't think of many games with like proper realistic extendable 3d rope physics. Half life had some cables that acted a bit similar to these didn't it?

I always wondered if oilrig was ever meant to take place in Aperture, or just Aperture styled
probably some secret stupid useless thing that aperture has because, them. also there is an aperture logo at the start
if anything its probably because they needed oil or something along the lines
I like to think it's one of Aperture's lesser known side projects, somewhere out in the ocean shrouded in that fog, away from any countries silly laws :D

Am I the only one who feels like this who scenario is on character? You know, a repurposed oil rig that connects to a moon portal base at the bottom of the ocean, in stead of something practical?
I totally agree, this is very Aperture, A secretive oil rig, shrouded in fog somewhere out in international waters well away from the prying eyes and silly laws of any government. Very Cave Johnson! :D

The second time we have escaped aperture I wonder how long it will be till GLaDOS or Wheatley caches us and brings us back
I wonder if anyone has actually made an actual getting chased by either Wheatley or GLaDOS map yet? not just like a get away from their bombs but an actually chased and escape, it would be fun to play.

I think the multiverse does not want me to have Wheatleyo’s so it’s trying to stop me by first not letting them work in game but also the day before they god ported to bee mod it broke my pc

Hows the steam deck, i'm so tempted to get one, i've collected so many games that would be perfect on it.
Using history and my dumbass knowledge, We can say that it wasn't the moon that crashed into earth but a meteor like the moon. You're welcome.
apparently the moon came from the collision of earth and another small planet (according to a quick google anyway) so potentially theres other planets that have the precious portal conducting materials we need.
