Town of Salem 2 has different factions in it.
The Coven: The Dreamweaver, Enchanter, Illusionist, Medusa, Conjuror, Jinx, Ritualist, Coven Leader, Hex Master, Witch, Necromancer, Poisoner, Potion Master, Voodoo Master and Wildling
The Town: Coroner, Investigator, Lookout, Psychic, Seer, Sheriff, Spy, Tracker, Deputy, Trickster, Veteran, Vigilante, Jailor, Mayor, Monarch, Prosecutor, Bodyguard, Cleric, Crusader, Trapper, Admirer and Amnesiac
The Neutral Apocalypse: Baker, Famine, Berserker, War, Plaguebearer, Pestilence, Soul Collector and Death
Neutral Evil: Executioner, Jester, Doomsayer, Pirate
Neutral Killing: Arsonist, Serial Killer, Shroud and Werewolf
the reworked socialite and trickster are what i like to call multiclass roles where they can do the job of two different role types and are jack of all trades
It's funny isn't it if the role that replace amnesiac is called apprentice. Instead of someone that forgot who they are, right now it's just a useless all rounder because they don't have the tools for the job that goes to salem just to steal the tools from towns people from Salem. when night comes they just snuck into someone home and ransack their home and then the next night when they already decide they role they just steal it from random town people roleblock the for one night. And just live as that role until the end of the game.
Or something like that, so the application in the game is... Their Night ability is to visit(snuck) someone and then act as pseudo Lo-Tracker? So if someone visit the person that you are visiting then you could know who visited, and then you could also see if the person you are visiting is visiting someone but you don't know where, it's just that you know it's non-visiting role or not (pseudo tracker). The next night you couldn't visit that person ever again. And then this role has day ability, to go to the person that you already visited and steal their "tools" (not roles) that makes them roleblocked for that night and if you're successful the next night you become that role. So... What role you've become is being pick from a pool of roles (you don't know the role initialy only when you successfuly become that role) so if you steal "tools" From necro, you will get a retri. So keep in mind that you could steal from dead person house if you've visited them. Oh it's also a hybrid of TOS 1 invest huh...

Anyway, instead of amnesiac role back-up ability. It's becoming more... Complex? Like pseudo Lo-Tracker that could back-up role and Rbd possible evil? The great part about this role is if there's Tpow that's claiming d1 Before the Tpow dies you couldn't successfully "learn" Their role and only Rbd them. So if you're apprentice and make your will openly when there's Tpow that dead you will be targeted, and more evil are going to be more sensitive about Lo roles for the possibility of apprentice.

Another important interaction is between 2 socialites. They don't get any message about each other if they go on same person
This Socialite is quite strong, if used correctly. So, I understand it and can appreciate it.
However, the previous version of Socialite was so fun! Party time at night was so dope.
The issue with old soc is that it just let the coven narrow down who the jailor is.
They could have tried balancing it while maintaining the character of the original socialite. This is just another TP with TI aspects.
@@rivenhelper3101 the problem was, soc stealing covens only time to communicate while hardconfirming itself.
@@darkgrundi9543 I made a suggestion on a previous video that old Socialite could have been made to invite people before hosting a party, sort of like a Town Arsonist.

Sociallite probably can't stop rb immune roles at all - which to be honest makes it a bit weak, at the very least a message like "X was at the party even though they were not on the guest list" should be added so that you know they are rb immune and were there
Yeah but that message would narrow down that's person role to being Tav or Socialite and both of those are easy to be prove fake on. If X didnt claim ts they gonna be hung.
I think its better that the rb immune role "sneaks in" to the party just because soc does not need more info especially not info that outs evils easily.
Socialite works perfectly fine against most RB immune roles, like SK and Poisoner. Witch is immune because in the situation where a Tav and Socialite click on each other and a Witch tries to send the tav somewhere else, you get an infinite logic circle unless one of the roles is immune to one of the other roles, and since Witch lost its Trickster immunity with the Trickster rework in the same patch as the Socialite rework Witch was the role that got the immunity (Addendum: Witch only had Trickster immunity to prevent similar logic issues with Witch with book controlling a Tav into NOT RBing a Trickster that was trying to taunt the Witch).
outing RB immune would probably be a bit op. that narrows down anyone you get that message about to literally Tav, another Soc, or an evil afaik.

I think the way they could have balanced socialite is making it unique, and making it so you can't use it night 1 (which I think was already the case) and you can't use it back to back nights. The issue with it being unique is I feel like they don't want to make many roles super easy to confirm like socialite so evils can try and fake claim more roles. It would be so much harder for evils if town roles could easily be confirmed as easily as socialite was.

New soc is like a combination of a TP and Lookout.
It's interesting, to say the least.
Slightly weaker in both regards as they can only get the effect with each individual person once, so it balances out.
I was actually the Witch in game 2 and that was my favourite Witch moment ever. Night 1 I witched the executioner into 13 so all the coven helped push 13 for 4. Night 2 I witched the Trickster into 6 who had put 13 in his will so it was just overall a perfect scenario. BUT 5 just had to inno and ruin it leading me to being random tormented...

Also, 4 was seen being witched, but still had a result for N1. Nobody caught that.

Played an amne game yesterday where I didn't become Tracker until D4 and tracked the last evil N4. I was screaming, "NOOOOO" when we hung a tracker D3 and I think that's what made town believe me.
Nah, I've come across a lot of players who don't seem to understand how Retributionist works or just ignore the Retributionist part and only read what they used.

I had a few games yesterday where townies did things that were obviously wrong, even to a newbie with only a few games under their belt, but they still did them anyway.
-A Crus protects a TS claim, who was a necromancer, when there is 1 TPower claim[Jailor] & 3 TI's. The Crus killed a Sheriff who was checking the TS & the Jailor died to a direct Coven attack.
-Dep shoots a hard confirmed townie half way though D2 for no reason at all & no actual leads at that point
-Jailor exes an amne monarch[me] N2 cause I did the right thing D2 & only claimed TPower. Jailor jailed/exed me saying "Your throwing for not saying which tpower" The next day the town tells the jailor he screwed up & game-threw & from my understanding of the dead chat multiple people reported him for game throwing since town did lose that & it's all the jailors fault. You never exe a tpower claim on N2 unless there is sufficient evidence proving they are fake.
-Pros pros a TP[trap] for no reason at all which costs town not on only maj but the game as the trapper had trapped the pros

How does new socialite work?

It works kinda like a Lookout and a Cleric. You choose someone to go on, and it tells you who visited them. You also stop the abilities of whoever isn't invited. People will automatically be added to your list if they try going to who you have a party at. The list tells you who tries visiting your target. Once added to the list they cannot be removed.
It seems to be like a Lookout/Cleric, where you choose a person and see who visits them (Lookout)
while stopping them from using abilities on that fella (Cleric)
And the visitors are then allowed to visit and use abilities on them in future nights.
Its like if both roles slammed into one role, but their abilities only work full effectiveness for only one night (I think you can't tell if the N1 visitors visited again N2)

Trick is not unique? Multiple amnes can become the same role no?
@@lunardarkangel5237 From the way he explained it, no. I know there was a modded game where there was like 6 amne's and they all became SK's but i dont think thats normal.
His explanation was the amne's take turns. lower number amne gets first dibs. then the 2nd amne gets dibs on the next death
@@user-br3oe1lc5y That's only true with Unique roles. For example if a Jailor dies, only one Amne can turn into it (the lower number gets it). But if a non-unique role dies, like Investigator, then every amne turns into that role.
