I loved her since she was in p.s. Eliot, her voice always makes me feel nostalgic
I live near waxahachie TX so when I came across this band naturally I checked them out. don't regret it.
Been a casual fan of this band for a long time. Just had a few songs in my library that would pop up occasionally. Wish I had dug in more years ago. So good!
love KEXP's live offerings. Always something new and good.
love her hair..
+Wen Johnny Looks like it smells like 3 weeks of not washing.
Yes, because she is in a band that is touring. That happens. Quit imposing beauty standards.
Ryan Seabeck good grief
This band is really hypnotizing live they draw you inn
I love this band so muchhh 🔥🔥🔥
Looking forward to seeing them at Bonnaroo
saw them at the Ruby Lounge, Manchester last night. Very impressive.
I'm so happy Allison is there. :)
Here's my take on the band:
Lyrically fantastic, and it might be easy to miss that fact. "All I listen to is the Mountain Goats," personally, but I can sink my teeth into these lyrics. This particular performance is a little "dirty," but the studio versions and their other live stuff is great. Her voice is just the icing on the talent cake. If this was the first recording of them I ever heard, I would have missed an awesome band.
I'm looking forward to new additions to the discography approaching new topics.
Breathless !!!!!!!
Awesome!
love it
Great stuff from the band
Cool radio channel
Like a lot
Really wish she would do more solo stuff
Less Than - is fun as hell.
La Loose is great here, sounds even better than the album
met her, super sweet.
is it a P.S. Eliot reunion? haha
"the dirt" sounds like the vaselines and it's awesome
G&L Fallout, 3 guitar lineup, means rockin’ Katie.. good stuff
reminds me of The Muffs meet The Pixies or Violent Femmes, I love it
Kush!
Is this the vocalist that used to be in Swearin?
2:54 that look
what brand of guitar does she have
+Pascal Poirier It's a G&L fallout
Osnel Bolivar Ecce vacila esta bandita
The 90s is alive in Portland.
~~~~
For me she sounds like Melanie Safka :o)
FREE WHIRL!!!!!
you're less than me and im nothin'...
Everything about this reminds me of a Portlandia sketch..."Put a bird on it!"
Matthew Aubertin Oh ho, yes, how clever. THis darn "indie" rock is so goofy, THese darn "hipsters" are such gooves!
XXXBASSURA Don't get me wrong: I'm a huge indie music fan, but this just isn't good songwriting.
This sounds nothing like Waxahatchee I've heard? I must have heard a different album. It was just the singer and an acoustic guitar, I thought
Ah, gotcha. Thanks!
I want to marry her. She is awesome.
good drummer. want to be best friends with her
The Indigo Goons
I bought her last album as it was Waxahat(cheep)....
bonnes chansons ,energie , un peu plus de voix aurait ete souhaitable mais dans l ensemble c est bon ....
what a coinkydink that twin sisters are in a band that sound like the breeders....especiallly allisons band swearin' and of course twins are in the breeders.
it sounds like the cranberries but the first song was cool
breeders without the drugs
Only if you don't consider alcohol drugs lol
Is it just me or is there a bit of tension between Katie and the drummer?
That drummer is giving me a toothache.
Ma´ horrible por Dio´'
I really think they would benefit from a better drummer
The bassist's phoning it in. Come on, at least look excited to get paid for playing music. Add some fills if the parts are repetitive. Make it fun.
Celestion321 Its music man, atleast the bassist is playing and creating something.
***** lol " I know bass isn't the funnest instrument in the world", i'm quiet sure you know nothing...., and i'm not a bass player so i'm not blindly defending a cause but bass is such a great instrument!!
you surely never paid attention to this instrument, or sadly only listen to group who have bad ones...
Celestion321 Maybe focused. Maybe... Well at least they are not faking it up.
Celestion321 I think she asked her buddy to back her up on bass live on KEXP and she was like super stoked and super nervous.
***** not english, sry for my english, try my best to be understanood by english
monotonous isn't boring,
not smiling do not mean being bored,
(lol but i'm just annoying, i agree with you at the end, sometimes it is,
but i still think that think for her isn't a good thing to do, how can someone can say she is not enjoying this
To worried about their 'enthusiasm', I would invite you to spend time in studio, while touring, in a sound neutral room.
If you don't dig it, that's cool, but shitting on the artist because you don't like your life is childish.
Why do I comment? I am an artist and many of us are not trying to make you happy, we are expressing ourselves. Take it or leave it, but no reason to be a brute or engage in troll behavior.
Was expecting a lot of lesbian jokes... maybe i'm just a shitty human.
The second song is a total ripoff off Ride - Drive Blind.
plancked How
Can't lie, for as melodic of a singer as Katie is, her and her sister have a pretty off harmony.
Got excited for nothing. playing simple open chords :(
and they all look so bored.
+Karla sheryniele That is what I say. People likes simply shit.
+Karla sheryniele It's simple, honest music. Sometimes that's all music needs to be.
Music is for listening to not looking at, they're on a radio show...they're all brilliant at what they do.
I guess time has come where hipsters are imitating generic 90's bands that no one cared about back then.
You don't know shit about music hahaha
SJVR is a twat.
