  • Demonstration of a Larox filter press and cake filtration of a limestone slurry at constant pressure
Despite us using lavalier microphones, recording to our smart phones, the original recordings had quite a lot of irritating background sounds (e.g. hissing sounds) from other equipment and activities in the apparatus hall. These background sounds were removed using the noise reduction function in the program Audacity. Due the somewhat heavy noise reduction, sound may appear a bit muffled.

Is this a special kind of filter cloth?
I am looking for pretty much exactly this kind of slurry filtration capacity at the same lab scale as shown in this video.
I'd very much appreciate a reply.
Is it Larox of Mogroup filters?
    Rgds

What kind of filter cloth is this? We are looking to filter calcium carbonate from our product.

This is only an educational setup. To quote an old, but still relevant publication ”There are considerable differences in the SLS (Solid-Liquid Separation) as opposed to such conventional areas as distillation, heat transfer, and reactor design. It is not possible to find design data in the literature or handbooks. Whereas thermodynamic properties such as viscosity and specific heat transfer can be estimated, the essential SLS parameters of permeability (or filtration resistance) and porosity must presently be obtained anew for every material.”

What will suit your particular product is dependent on so many different things
