Today, We will be traveling from Delhi to London with AIR INDIA on the
B787-8 on this long flight.
I will show you the Delhi airport, boarding , the B787-8 cabin , two services: dinner and breakfast.
the Air India logo features a red swan (symbolising flight) with spokes in orange placed inside. The wheel is inspired by the Ashoka Chakra - depicting the wheel of righteous duty, which also features in the Indian Flag and underlines the deep-rooted connect to India’s cultural heritage.
Air India has a state-of -the-art fleet, comprising of Boeing (777-200LR, 777-300ER and 787-800 Dreamliner) and Airbus (319, 320, 320Neo and 321) aircraft.

Air India is the best serving airlines of India not only in International service but also in domestic service. Their hospitality is far better than other Indian airlines. After all the name itself includes India in it so undoubtedly it has to be the best. Proud of my nation. Proud to be an Indian🇮🇳
Vistara is definitely better🤣 air india has and always will be horrible

@@bruh-qu1ww I'm a frequent Flyer on both domestic and international routes, and have been to every Airline of India- Air India, Vistara, GoFirst, Spice Jet, Indigo multiple times and recently also flew in Akasa Air from Delhi to Ahmedabad.
What I've found and experienced is that in the domestic routes, Air India is definitely good and provides comfortable seats, good food and the cabin crew is too well behaved. Like its not at all as bad as most people assume. Even before Tata's takeover, I found AI to be a nice Airline for the domestic routes in India.
Though at present, Vistara is the best if we look at all the factors, but Air India is also pretty worth. However honestly, in economy classes in domestic routes, it doesn't matter much as they all are more or less similar.
The dilemma comes in Business class. In this aspect, I rank Vistara as the best in the Indian domestic routes and for Internation too. While for International, I rarely choose Air India and prefer Vistara or other International carriers even though I know AI is not that bad in Business class but when you're spending this much, the quality and service becomes super important.
I recently went from Delhi to Frankfurt in Business Class in October. I had the option to choose from 3 Airlines which operated on this route non stop-AI, Vistara and Lufthansa. I rejected AI due to not being confident enough on it's Business class services, rejected Lufthansa because of it's not suitable timings and booked Vistara.
It costed me around Rs 1.1 Lacs and only after 9 long hours of the journey, I realised it was completely worth. Though obviously not as awesome as Emirates, Qatar Airways or Singapore Airlines, I found Vistara's Business class to be as good as Air France and it was surely a good experience.
However, now I want to travel in AI Business class too just for it's experience and see myself. I've been to Air India Business class only once from Delhi to Bhopal in 2015, and that was a small 1 hour 20 minutes flight and didn't have anything extravagant great to offer in this short time. Wish AI doesn't disappoint me ;)
Hopefully it becomes better in the future and I'm pretty sure it will but, at the moment it's not good enough that you thump your chest with pride.
@@stoner0721 I’ve found air india business class to be actually clean can’t say the same for economy but the business presentation for food is not good, even the food is mediocre and the seats are outdated to be frank the whole cabin is outdated, and the cabin crew is almost always good. Compared to vistara I would take vistara over it everyday . It has been a while since I flew with air india and I pretty much plan to never fly with them again I’m a emirates frequent flyer and just wanted to see if air india was actually a little bit good. Maybe things have changed with new ownership so your experience may actually be good🙂
All I can say is that the few times I've flown AI (economy class obviously!) I have been treated with respect and courtesy by all the staff. Now with TATAs having taken over I'm sure the staff will be happier too. My future travel plans will include AI which will be my top carrier choice! 🙋🏻♀️🇮🇳
I still have a wisp of a memory of having an omelette for breakfast on an AI Jumbo Jet in 1977 as a young boy, Emperor Vikramaditya Mumbai- Kuwait-New York. The cutlery was all stainless steel. In flight service has always been great.

I first flew Air India from Nairobi to Bombay in 1956 1st. Class with caviar and champagne. Those days are long gone. Only 12 then so no champagne ! Super Constellation with a stop over in Aden.

@@airtravelaviation491 No air bridge in those days. A 20ft. Red carpet leading upto the the stairs with a 5 ft. tall Maharaja at the bottom of the stairs ! Designed by the one and only S K KOOKA the commercial director.
I recently travelled with Air India,the crew and food service is improved as food is coming from Taj ....
Last month Delhi London Delhi. Best Airline in India. Good food and nice staff. They are going in the right direction now.

I recently travelled Air India Dreamliner in July from New Delhi to Dubai and I was surprised with the change of quality after TATA takeover. The food was great the
Entertainment screen was decent and the air hostesses were really kind to us! Great and Incredible India!

Really happy to hear positives for AI.My experience has been largely very bad.now with the TATA takeover,it seems a turn around is happening.very pleased and eager to check out soon.

No I don’t agree with you..Qatar& Emirates are best known for the food & service..we ditched Air India long ago because they behave improperly…air craft maintenance is very poor..Air India is rubbish

Mera VARAT Mahan. No regret no Fuss. That's why I don't travel with Air India.
I usually travel with Singapore , Qatar, Emirates because their service, food quality , Cutlery(Silverware) are superb. I can't enjoy eating with wooden spoon/fork. The wine named Sula offered in Air India taste weird like thumsup mixed with grape juice. It doesn't taste any of the Red wine I drink in USA. And their Coffee is made from instant coffee with heavily diluted, the taste , I still remember. and I am not into Bollywood so Entertainment , I can go with any language as long there is a subtitle. Air India ticket prices always are expensive and on the top but service is always inferior. I always cook during the work and after for me and my family. It is so easy to make food so healthy and delicious. Air India must be working hard to offer substandard food. The food served in local flights in India are very fresh and delicious . I hear many people prefer Air India because of vegetarian food , but These days every airline offers vegetarian food options.

Air India may still be carrying dead wood from Govt.days. But Tata must have set a deadline to clean-up.
Passengers are eagerly looking forward to experiencing the Tata touch on ground and on board.
The aim should be to grab back market share from both Emirates and Qatar Air.
Sri Lankan Airlines cabin food is top notch, especially business class.

33"? Looks like 31?'" My father flew on an Air India Constellation in 1950 to Cairo from Rome. I flew on an Air India 707 from New York to London. I remember the Indian music on boarding and they served us orange juice before take off in economy! Crew wore saris. Love the Maharajah.

Air India is making a strong comeback, really nice to hear this. I last travelled on Air India from New Delhi to Los Angeles in 2002, after which I switched to other airlines. Hope to get back on Air India soon.

It's been a long time since flew AI international flights
I used to take first', business, and Economy class from India to Saudi Arabia
Prior to covid lockdown I had flown del to lhr and my seat was broken and leaning back touching the knees of the person behind, the crew told me Flt was full and no other seats available. I had no choice but to carry on with the pandemic looming and countries closings their boardings and had to get home n took the risk of a possible back injury. However do agree with previous comments that now TATA have taken over, in due course there will be significant improvements all round their service……

I'm sure there is an overall improvement after the take over but frankly the dinner looked like a snack serving!! On a flight originating from India the dinner meal served should have been more Indian n substantial !! I guess,small smart steps by the new management will bring about a very positive change in the reputation of our national carrier!!! Indian hospitality is unbeatable!! Best wishes to AIR INDIA to dominate the skies!!

I've travel to India many time on Air-India .. I always fly Lufthansa, Qatar, British Airways, Emirates and American Airlines .. I've to give Qatar the thumbs up .. (the funny thing was Indians were operating the aircraft and most of the staff on board were Indians :)
Another strange things.... 40% of emirates Airbus A380 pilots r Indian....
Since the airline was taken over by TATA, the planes are much cleaner.

Nova brand milk sachets manufactured by Sterling Agro P. Ltd. is a substandard food item in terms of taste and quality. This company has a monopoly in marketing dairy products at cheap rates in India. Trains and Air India are serving their milk powder regularly. There are many GOOD quality food/dairy products companies in India which can be tapped instead of Nova.
I flew air india NYC to Delhi and i noticed that all they need to do is heavily redesign the plane all the seats infotainment everything and upgrade the meal service a little more that’s all
