- Low immersion acid yarn dyeing is the simplest way to dye yarn. In this video, I will dye this luscious tropical Colourway called ‘Hula Hula’ on a fine white Kid Mohair base using Landscape Dyes. Switch out the recipe and use Dharma Acid Dyes (multiply amounts times 3). I will show you my process as I navigate the ebbs and flows of hand dyeing yarn and opening my shop!

Wow what an awesome video. Thank you. How long do you pre-soak in vinegar please?
I soak in vinegar for at least half an hour. I did a few tests to see how long it takes for dry yarn to take up all the water so it’s evenly soaked and determined 20 min was just not enough! But half hour was good to go for best results.
