    I've got a 2013 FRS and when there is fresh powder on the streets it's an absolute blast, but when the snow has been compacted and there's slick ice mixed throughout, then I start to resent the car on those days. With some weight (sandbags) in the trunk, having a RWD car in a Canadian winter is doable, but still frustrating at times.

    They put the active sound system as an attempt to prevent people from putting loud exhaust systems to their cars. Its car manufacturers attempt to protect car drivers rights so the governments wont start making car drivers life more difficult and costly. Some cities with large problem of illegally loud cars have started using fully automatic noise volume measuring systems with multiple microphones and camera, detecting and sending fines to owners of excessively loud cars. Is the traction control off?
    That seems more tail happy than I'd like for a daily commute to work.

    • @KZcheese
      @KZcheese Před 2 lety +11

      Definitely all off. There’s no way it would let you slide that much with traction on.

      It's off, he says it at one point in the video and you can see on the dash

    So i also have a 22 BRZ (though mine is an auto) and a set of Blizzaks and they really are incredible. i live in New England and did have some concerns in the back of my mind to have a RWD sports car as a daily driver here and the Blizzaks completely erased them.

      I recently went on Autotrader and saw a 3.9k-mile '06 S2000 selling for $106k... Other sub 1000-mile ones were around $50k, and the 30k-50k-mile ones fall in the $30k-$32k range...

    My understanding is that the WS90, as excellent as it is, is a grand touring winter tire, not a high performance winter tire. Wouldn’t you want something more like the Vredestein Wintrac Pro or Michelin Pilot Alpin PA4?
