It was my first fromsoft game, so I had the advantage of not having to unlearn other mechanics. I've since platinumed BB, and being patient is the main thing. good job on sticking with it and beating BSB.
Every single one is different this game is way different as it wants you to take a very aggressive approach not like the dodge and patience of Elden ring.
to understand the story, no spoiler, the old man sitting on wheelchairs is your boss and you are the hunter. to make it short for you, the whole world is infected with cursed blood, that turning them to beast, and your job is clean everything and help normal people sending them to the church.
okay bruv youre actually making this game way harder for yourself. Ik this game can be a bit nerve racking and panic inducing, but if you take on one enemy at a time very strategically, it becomes very easy. Dont go running into areas, youre just inviting yourself to be ganked by all the enemies and the hordes. Take your time a bit, go slow and explore properly, and take on one enemy at a time. Youll start finding a lot of shortcuts which significantly makes the levels easier and manageable. You missed a shortcut in Old yharnam and in the forbidden woods. Explore a bit more thoroughly and properly, youll be doing yourself a favour. Loving the playthrough tho! keep up the good work!

If you got a ps5 or 4 and dont mind 30fps you should def get this game its one of the greatest games fromsoft has ever made and one of the greatest playstation exclusives
for the shadows of yharnam, keep back pedaling till the fireball dude cant attack you. if you REALLY need it, i'm down to help with co-op if you actually need that much help
in the hunters dream there are multiple port gravestones, you finished the first one so the forest is at the grave stone on the left. SPOILER also for the lore: you and everyone ele heals with blood of gods and healing too much makes you turn into a monster. also people who are near great ones (gods) or often near their blood turn into bigger monster. vicar amelia for exemple is a high ranked member of the healing church and the successor of Laurence. a long time ago students of byrgenwirth expirimentet with this blood and in the cutscene you saw one of them, master willem. he wanted to ascend and turn into a great one via insight but laurence tried it via blood (turning into a monster) the skull you touch to activate the cut scene is the skull of laurence. and btw the night progresses with every key event and touching the skull was one of them, now everything is more expensive and you are locked out of a view quests hope this helped and my english wasnt too bad
When blood shoots out of a bosses arm that means you broke the limb. Itll stun them (you cant repost though) and that limb will take more damage. When you said vicar stage transitioned she actually was healing the limb you just broke. Also you can backstab enemies if you get the heavy attack first behind them
This game encourages farming... Most bosses it's best to just feel them out for the first few attempts This game was great enough that in all my years as a gamer, it's my 1 platinum
Isaac if you're ever gonna do any of the Chalice Dungeons are an a game to level yourself up and along the way keep on exploring and pick clean all of the loot inside the Dungeons (Promise you, its worth it and along the way if you keep on head deeper into the levels of the dungeons you can find messengers who sell overpowered versions of the base weapons you find in the base game, including DLC's and DON'T SELL the ingredients for the other chalice dungeons 🙅)

You’ve got it, bro. Shadow of Yharnam has one of the worst run backs. Take the mage out first but try to whittle the other ones down when you can.
Use some L1s. BB combat is special due to transform attacks. Make use of them.
