    Hi Rod, love the video. I'm heading to Quennell in a week for some fishing too. But I can't figure out where to launch and park from. Can you help me out? Did you lunch just off Ritten Road?

    Always look forward to your next video Rod. You and Kitty make a great fishing pair. I like what you're teaching the kids about littering. Very important! Super plus to see how you both handle the fish you guys catch. So many would just toss a bass back in the water. Awesome video guys!

      Thanks! Yeah it's very important for us to emphasize proper handling of fish that we want to release. Hopefully others will do the same too. :)

    Can you fish triple hooks in fresh water BC? Didn’t know that was a thing…..

    • @FishingwithRod
      @FishingwithRod  Před 5 měsíci

      In BC, single barbless hooks are required for all rivers. For lakes, treble and barbed hooks are allowed, with some exceptions which are stated in the regulations for those particular lakes.

    • @FishingwithRod
      @FishingwithRod  Před 4 lety

      I just looked on Google Maps, and did a search on Nanaimo's websites. There are a couple of launches on that lake and they are fairly easy to find.

    • @brandynwood5872
      @brandynwood5872 Před 4 lety

      Yea we headed there yesterday and drove around the entire lake. Only managed to find the one at the campsite

    You need to come back to St. Mary lake on SSI. I went out for 3 hours this morning and landed 26 bass, just drifting a single shoreline. Not all large fish, but scrappy none the less

    one of my favorite lakes for bass! frogs can be a blast there too, best day had to be 10+ bass in a 6 hour day. must have caught them pre spawn or spawn, they hit just about everything that moved.

    Nice video, how is with the choice of hooks for bass in BC. Thought single barbless only in all freshwater bodies?

    • @FishingwithRod
      @FishingwithRod  Před 6 lety

      Definitely! Years ago we used to get up before dawn for the top water action (or just better bass fishing in general). Now sleep seems to be prioritized as we are older lol...

      The electric boat loader is made by 4boys www.4boysmfg.com. There is a video about it on this channel actually, just search "electric boat loader". :) They are based in Kelowna, but can ship anywhere in North America.
