    They should feel worried. If Silovs cracks even a little, it's going to be a blowout. The high quality chances are hilariously lopsided.
    Silovs has been a beast for them, won't even pretend he hasn't. If he falters though, Vancouver does not have the offense to make up the disparity that would come from that.

    I think Canucks should be happy with the split. They aren't playing a full 60. Sucks to have lost but that said, what does that say about the Oilers? Canucks playing essentially 20min of a 60min game (being a bit generous), yet they're still winning, or close to winning these games. Look at the two games Oilers had won? OT and Losing a lead in the last 10min of the game.
    Canucks are playing with house money and Oilers are an expected cup winner this year. Oilers are a good team, Mcdavid and Drais are amazing but I still think there's more the Canucks have than what they're putting on this ice right now and hopefully that team shows up. I know Edmonton bottom 6 isn't playing well either. No matter how this series goes, both are going to have a hell of a time against Dallas/ Colorado.

    • @NP-co7kj
      @NP-co7kj Před 19 dny +2

      What does that say about the Oilers? It says the Oilers have dramatically outshot your team and are very effective at limiting Vancouver's chances. With Pickard in net, your team should be worried. We're hoping for solid goaltending.

    • @vedastoyngreso1987
      @vedastoyngreso1987 Před 19 dny

      @NP-co7kj I'm not saying we're not being outplayed. We absolutely are. I see where you're getting at if Pickard plays well. We definitely need to get more shots. On the other side of that, Silovs has been great but I still think the canucks havent brought their best and they've been playing a bit more defensive which is understandable with Mcdavid. However, I'm hoping that with the possibility of Demko coming back this series and knowing they'll have their number 1 in net, it'll boost their confidence and bring the offense out more. This will probably be null statement if he doesn't come back but I'm crossing my fingers.

    They should feel shitty based on the performance they put up. That said adversity builds character. If they channel the energy properly there is absolutely no reason they should be counted out yet.
    The biggest glaring problem i see with the oilers is that they rely so heavily on getting at least a ppg per win. You can say whatever you want about the oilers effort or talk them up as the best team ever, they barely won by a single goal. That pp is crucial to this team's success, but not every team is going to give you that opportunity. Canucks could play disciplined hockey and grind this out and i really dont think outside the top line the oilers would have much to push back with. This is the point in time playoff experience comes into play and edmonton has a slight edge. Canucks have to keep their emotions in check and play clam, dont let it go out of their hands playing desperation hockey. Edmonton has been here before, they know what to expect from their players and they have a game plan to avoid the prior year's results.
