- Hello everyone,
Today Lawrie attempts for the 6th time to get his Fire Engine to complete the 51st Ipswich to Felixstowe Road Run. With a less than 33% success rate so far, will this be his year?
For more information on the Ipswich Transport Museum who organise the road run, check out their Website here: www.ipswichtransportmuseum.co...
Let me know in the comments below how far you think it'll get!
A video featuring:
Lawrie - Presenter, overly nervous if Jupes will make it,
Charles - Cameraman, trying to film every mini in attendance,
Tom - Drone Pilot, wishing he was driving Jupes.
An edit by Lawrie,
Jupes theme tune by Alex the Hat, check out his SoundCloud here: / alex-the-hat

Forget the yank truck....that commer is dead cool !!!!
Vettes are one of those cars that require thorough inspection, my friend traded a rust free but cosmetically challenged 1967 Galaxie 500 for a beautiful '74 Stingray.
The biggest unanswered question is:- Did it start and get back home?
It looks a lot more comfortable driving Jupes instead of the 1930's truck from last year. Like the fact the Ransomes machinery factory Land Rover was in the run.
Ah memories. Hope you and Jupiter made it home. Around 12.30 was particularly poignant for me to see the Austin Metropolitan - one (number plate 3000 CD) was my pride and joy in 1970 but which I gave up in rather sad circumstances. Wonder if it is still around.
So lovely to see Jupes out and about in Suffolk again this truly made my day big time😊❤❤😊
Thanks Lawrie, glad you enjoyed yourself, good variety of vehicles! 🙏🙏
The fact that there is no footage of the journey back or being back at the shed is slightly worrying!
As much as you love to hate on it, that Reliant, or something very much like it -- or, miracle of miracles, a Bond Bug -- is basically two-thirds of my want list. The other entries are a Piaggio Ape and a Chinese Tiller Truck. (Arguably there's actually one other vehicle, but that is very, very much a DIY job. Don't ask unless you want a veritable novel of an answer, you have been warned.)
This is such a good event and so well organised. I took part in my Beige Saab 95 estate. My dad was on his 1977 Honda 550 four. We both remarked on what a fun happy experience it was.
What a lot of lovely old vehicles. It just needed some classic motorcycles to finish it off.
Very enjoyable day, relieved we made it too 😁
I could easily spend all day looking at those vehicles.

Interesting cargo on the truck on front of you at Felixstowe. Wouldn't it be fun to fire that up
