I mean star dragons are super expensive but they have 30 armor, slightly more health, 40 weapon strength and ~10 melee attack and defense more than the bale taurus. Pretty sure a star dragon loses to the bull because of that bananas fire resistance, but just evaluated as a generalist monster without looking at cost or their utility to the roster they're on I think it's hard to say that the bale taurus is better

Honestly, it's probably a roster thing more, so a star dragon being expensive in an expensive fraction is way harsher than the moo for the cwarfs. Which is why it's better, you also have that it still trades rather well vs star dragon so all that price tage means is you still end up trading the game cuss you brought a dumb dragon.
But the elves do have healing for the star dragon while the chorfs don’t for the fire cow, which makes the star dragon a lot better with synergy

Great example of why I feel that Domination needs an overtime mechanic similar to FPS capture point games like TF2.

You gotta help me out here: I watched a recent cast of yours where a bone giant couldn't dent a corpse cart and you were fairly critical of them.
I feel like Ushabti Greatbows rarely perform for me the way they used to.
Do I grab em with a few chevrons on? Do I buff them with Lore of Nehek? What's my philosophy when deploying them?
As a clueless noob, I would say 9 chevrons and all the buffs to make big skelly man go shoot shoot.
Ushabti all the way man. f you Bonedaddy misses his shot, you get no value, plus he reloads slowly. Ushabti fire way faster and also more models (duh) means bigger chance of getting a hit. They're also faster and can kill cavalry and such much easier. Literally only downside of bonedaddy vs ushabti is that the ushabti has worse range, they win in every other aspect tho.
Do not bring GBs against bum rush chaff factions. They will not get their value and you will have to give up early game points.
It’s cause the bone giants miss all their shots against, well a lot of things but specifically all the VC carts. They aim for the front of the carts instead of the actual cart so they literally never hit.
I observed this a lot in single player where I watched multiple bone giants kill a vampire lord on a dragon but do virtually 0 damage to corpse carts.

5:20 Damn just every single arrow from the bow Ushabti just DELETES an Ironsworn model. Armor can only help so much I guess.
To be fair, those are like balista sized longbows. It anything has the right to delete even the most powerful infantry, it's something like that.
@@sassyviking6003 if I´m not mistaken, the great bows ARE considered artilary in the game. They just lack the multi model piercing like a Cannon
@@rodmrc5863 yea, shields cannot block great bow shot, which is typically the dividing factor.
They are probably the hardest hitting archer unit in the game, they are designed for murdering armored cav and infantry, they just have huge bows shooting like spear sized arrows lol

Hey Turin, off topic question but what options do you think Khorne has into Chorfs? Is the matchup just doomed from the start or can Khorne fight back? Great video as always :)
I think Chorfs will probably struggle with a minobus. Granted, the Bull Centaur Renders w/ GW are really good, so maybe not

Really cheap and wide. Flesh hounds and marauder horsemen both seem like good picks. For a front like maybe some bloodletters mixed in with dw marauders to cut through hobgoblins and laborers like a warm knife through butter. The fire resist is rough, but I don't think insurmountable. With focused fire something like the ap missiles of horsmen will smash chorf infantry, artilery, and SEMs.

I haven't seen any gameplay of the Bull Centaur Hero. Is it viable at all in MP?
Triple screaming Skulls sound great on paper but they miss too often, and even hit your own infantry as well. I'd maybe drop the scorpion for some horsemen to try and out maneuver the cdwarfs on objectives and pin them at their spawn/home. This has won me games against dwarfs who even spam dwarf units across the map because they couldn't gain map control.
Could you do a game with Slaanesh to see if the nerfs have made them balanced?
Thanks for uploading 4K content. My main monitor is my LGCX48 OLED, and non-4K content just looks so pixelated on it that its not enjoyable to watch. The bitrate of the recording seems to be too low for 4K though.

Bull renders just seem to be incredibly good overall. Seems like a combination of their (relatively) small entity size and overall great combat stats. Damn near the entire unit seem to be hitting strikes meanwhile dragon ogres for example get stuck on eachother.
They however do have low armor and speed (relatively), and when getting stuck on infantry quickly take damage. I hope they keep them as they are right now, as the chorfs need them as an anker.
Now that we have a bull model in the game I demand an Averland longhorn unit for the empire

How do you stop a BaleTaurus from sniping the Bone Giant or Astragoth using the improved Firestorm to nuke the Catapults? Sounds like you have no great tools yet to space him out?
Sepulchral Stalkers will do an excellent job of punishing any Taurus dives. Astragoth isn't so much of a problem: while he is reasonably mobile for an infantry-sized model, he can't fly and isn't super fast, so he doesn't want to get out of position and get surrounded by Ushabti, or maybe pinned in place by Horsemen and beaten down by Tomb Guard.
@@boosterh1113 I mean Astragoth has 60 speed vs Ushabti's 54 so with micro he can outmanoeuvre them and even if micro drops the range on the spells can be the difference to kill the catapults, plus Astragoth will kill models in melee pretty quickly so you'll lose the unit in a minute or two even without CD shooting being in play which it usually would be. As for the Taurus, the Stalkers melee is a bit more concerning but it's a strong unit and all 3 caster lords (2 LL and the generic) have synergies with fire dmg that can be pretty disgusting either for sniping or sustained fights, both suit the Taurus, plus one of the generic options had a healing item which we haven't seen tried out anywhere yet (least I haven't?) which might change the dynamic yet further. Just seems like putting all the funds into catapult + bone giant would be too many eggs when the CD already have the tools to counter it but the other factions haven't really got the meta worked out to deal with them is all. But experimentation is how you get to the meta, and would be an interesting match to watch at least. Anyway, have a good one.
@@boosterh1113 Ah ps. In either case, vs Ushabti or Stalkers, the ranged shooting of the CD tips the balance yet further, especially with fire weakness eg from Ash Storm. (Sorry, I initially typed out the reply in the drop down menu but YT bugged out and I lost it, then forgot this part when I had a 2nd go of it.)
from what I’ve seen, chaos dwarves like all newly released factions are overpowered and there’s nothing you can really do except abandon the arty pieces manually and run off. Bone giant rarely gets its value due to how piss poor it’s accuracy is so I really only used it as a missle meat shield with its massive hp pool. I would say use the giant as bait instead of being a center piece unit.
I must have missed the pvp change where you can just re-summon an entirely healed Lord. Why the fuck?? Astro just waltz back in at the end after an entire game of magic was used on him.

Tomb Kings man, what is it with the 'Neutral' factions being absurdly fucking awesome? The Skaven, Orcs, Tomb Kings and whoever else there is all the non chaos and non-order factions are just a blast I swear.
Skaven are Chaos-aligned. The Horned Rat is a Chaos god
@@johnsnow5125 Never really included them myself, just cus they don't have daemons of the rat/verminlords (yet) and chaos always tries to kill them anyway and lore wise archaeon was like "nah fam no rat powers" thats just me tho of course.

Do Chaos Dwarves have any weak match ups? They seem pretty well balanced just a bit overturned
Maybe Cathay their counter artillery is strong and they have good anti large.
Empire does well into them, Lizards have loads of tools and I have yet to see Dark Elves vs chorfs but I imagine that could be a stomp with the sheer amount of AP
As far as I've seen, Chorfs excel early on and can win some battles decisively, but they fizzle out as the battle starts to drag on. I'd say if you focus their more powerful units like the Taurus, occupy their artillery with some flankers like furies or goblin wolf riders, and goon their casters early on, you might be able to survive when they do fizzle out. Take this with a grain of salt I'm not too good at multiplayer
anyone with normal cannons is going to have a favorable MU into them.
I've seen them smash and get smashed. People are still feeling out the matchups but they seem mostly balanced. They are super strong but also super expensive. Your units will do crazy work if you can protect them but if you are careless stray magic or shooting can deal with them like any other elite units.
The magma cannon is the first unit I have seen that is so blatantly overpowered that it taints my enjoyment of these videos. Every time I see them I have to grit my teeth to push past it. I simply don't understand how that thing got past the testing phase in its current state.
You know, we've found ways to beat them lately, but yeah they need a 100-150 cost increase
Nice, a brawl between two of my favorite factions. And I know Arkhan is the de-facto meta Tomb King lord for the past 5 years, but Jesus Christ I really wish people would bring something other than him sometimes. Settra or Khalida might actually be decent in this match-up. Khalida with ranged buffs and two Bone Giants should delete any Chaos Dwarf machinery tbh.
Yeah Arkhan is pretty meta just because TK doesn’t have any good duelists beside Khalida or the necrosphinx so we kinda need him just to spam spirit leech. You would think an undead faction could on demand heal their center piece units with magic but instead I need to bring necrosculpters or whatever the green guy is called
@@idle_q3699 Yeah and the Necrotects aren't even that great, the buffs they give to constructs aren't that noticeable and big constructs like Hierotitans aren't even that good in the first place. The heal they can do is decent but Necrotects themselves are very squishy and terrible combatants, so most Tomb King builds just end up being the same Arkhan/Ushabti with variations here and there.
Especially in dominantion. In land battles your more free to bring whatever.

Overall, the TKs are probably neutral/slight lean towards good. They mostly want everyone to stay out of their land so they can finish their transition to glorious immortality. His lord choice Arkhan is definitely a villain/evil character in the lore. Arkhan is the right hand of Nagash who woke the dead of the whole TK empire before they could find the secret to true immortality; that's why all the other TKs hate Arkhan.
True Neutral. They mostly hate Vampires/Nagash. There's one TK city in which they rule over living humans subjects
I only play campaign, and then pretty much only TK, but was thinking during the match - you need a bone giant or two!

How would anyone even think this would be a close match?…tomb kings are now a terrible B tier faction at best versus their hardest matchups being elite infantry, singling out strong lords / heroes, and dealing with SEM artillery. All of which the chaos dwarfs have and leverage. Tomb Kings is just a crap faction that people play for a campaign power fantasy. This is coming from a TK player.
