A R Rahman is the music director who bring this tradition of introducing the professional carnatic singers into movie play back singing. He brought p unnikrishnan, nothyasree mahadevan and Bombay jayasree,who were very popular carnatic singers of that era. These songs kick started their play back careers aswell. They became popular in movie world also
(Carnatic music is South Indian classical music) all Rahman s Carnatic flavoured film songs are beautiful..

The reason for the expensive budget of this movie is due to the song poovukkul olindhurikkum from Jeans movie itself where they travel to the 7 wonders of the world to shoot that song
Shankar is a Mechanical engineer maybe that's why he is obsessed with technology related stuff.

I'd suggest not to assume Jeans is a good movie because it was India's official submission to Oscars. It's pretty average and the use of CGI in this movie is very weird and terrible. One of the film's producers Ashok Amritraj is a bigshot Executive Producer in Hollywood and he used his influence to get the movie submitted by India.
I'd rather suggest watching Shankar's 'I' (2015) which honestly deserves more praise and recognition.
I am neither a fan of A R Rehman music nor Aishwarya...So I will give a pass to this one.😅😅😅😅
