She went from telling stories about Susan troubles in HS and during speedbuilds and only rarely showing her face to telling stories about renovating a house irl during speedbuilds and posting vlogs

My ideas for the weird room off the guest room:
-Cozy library with big comfy chair
-If you anticipate a lot of guest, a mini apartment vibe would be cool, think small dinette table with two chairs, cabinet with maybe microwave and mini fridge

I had a similar idea. I think the pink room could be a sitting room and the side room is the actual bedroom, for a bit more privacy for guests.

@@b.schurman Same, I was also thinking the back room would make a better bedroom, assuming it's large enough to hold a bed, nightstand, and wardrobe/chest. With the way it is now, I just wouldn't like having to walk through a guest bedroom every time I want to get to another room (which I agree with others, it would make a cute library/reading nook). But oh well, seems Kayla has already decided on this layout.
it’s so strange, i started watching kayla in high school. i’m only a year younger than her so i feel like we grew up together in a way. she’s always been such an inspiration to me and it really seems like she’s living the dream. a successful career, married to someone she loves, renovating a house??? it’s absolutely wild and i am so happy for her

I'm genuinely a year or two older than her younger brother (she mentioned his age in one of her legacy videos I believe or her speed builds) so she's really become a bit of an older sister model to me. Just striving to the success she has- but in my own way
Same here! 2016 me did not imagine that I'd be wat hing for this long and that I'd see Kayla live her life as full as she has done so far! Beyond happy for you guys!
Kayla and I are the same age. It's crazy to me how she's grown so much, become so successful and already found the someone she loves, while I sit at home ridden with mental illness and struggling to so much as go outside without a panic attack. People are truly different and it's fascinating.
@@whokilledthesunv4768 i get it 💖 i'm disabled and can't really "keep up" with people my age. as much as i'm extremely happy for kayla, i'm also kind of jealous that she's living my dream life (college graduate, making videos/streaming, in love, living independently) but i have to fight every day to get out of bed.

Love how its "Simsie's house", like "my dining room, my fireplace, my guest room", and almost like Dan doesn't get a say in any of the design XD I'm sure he actually does, it just tickles me to imagine Kayla, who used to be so awkward (in a good way) and shy, being really headstrong and adamant about how she wants the house
I noticed the "my". I've heard other CZcamsrs from the US do the same, so I wonder if it's a regional thing?
I mean, she might have bought it entirely independently. If that is the case, I wouldn’t blame her for using “my” instead of our. I bought a house without my boyfriend’s assistance and it’s MY house.

I mean, I’m not shocked he’s letting her take so much control in this because… she’s has YEARS of practice designing houses. I mean- in the sims, but- it’s basically the same thing
Just revisiting this to say it doesn't bother me that she says "my" like it's not anything to do with Dan.
It was just an observation and I find it amusing 🥰

She does so much good for others
She brings joy to so much people
She has a husband, a house, she respects others No matter are they other race, LGBTQ+ etc.
We all love her so much!
Kayla is the best I’m proud of her she’s accomplished so much she’s living my dream.

I can’t wait to see her stream and record and make content in her new house it will be a little weird to see her in a different office.
In Brazil, this tree is called Ipê and has a lot of different colours (pink, purple, yellow)

I feel like the guest room would become a cool kids room in the future. Imagine having a bedroom and a bonus playroom attached directly to it with that little extra room.
As someone that renovated my house some time ago, I can attest it that this is a good amount of progress. Work seems to be going nicelly!
Also, love your pink room, specially because that pink is the same pink that I painted my bedroom
I'm actually surprised since she loves the colour so much that she didn't do it for her own bedroom. She seemed to have a lot more ideas and less "I don't know what to do here" about the pink room than her own bedroom. Feels kinda odd to me that the guest room would be her favourite room. Surely you'd have your favourite room for yourself as the guest room is going to be unused most of the time.
Question: That little window nook area at the end of the video... Are you going to put a hallway desk in there? :)

Ooh that tree is so beautiful! I bet the house will be too! I have a tree in my yard that in the fall the leaves turn a beautiful gold. Last year, half of it was orange, and the other half gold, and it looked like it was on fire. So pretty. I can't wait to see you finish your house! I'm sending you love and wishing you luck! I’m so proud of you simsie, you work so hard, I kno some people think playing games for a living isn’t hard work and while it’s fun work, it’s still WORK. Posting every day, streaming every day, having an amazing personality, it’s all her! I love it & im so happy for you to have the house of your dreams because you worked hard for it❤️

@@AiguilleVoodoo I work hard everyday too. Been putting away a certain amount money every month in hopes of buying a house next year. Just keep working at it and don’t let other peoples progress cloud you of your progress.
I feel like a "building my upstairs hallway" in the sims would be cool. I noticed how big the upstairs landing is and am curious what ya'll are going to do with it !
Put a desk with a computer in it and maybe a bookcase with a chair or little bench to sit on probably

The guest area looks great! It's like you have a whole guest suite with that little room off the side, I'd make it into a guest sitting area or even a small library 🙂

Love the green of the dining room! That is absolutely the vibe I want for a future living room + all the plants.
This is gorgeous, congratulations!! For the pink room’s extra room, growing up my friends used to stay in a house that had the same thing and turned it into a second guest room with tall white shelves that held the book collection. It provided extra guest space and always felt like you were sleeping in a cozy library!

That is SO much progress in a short amount of time, and your house looks soooo nice! I wanna stay in the pink room so bad. The electric fireplace is so nice, that will be such a cozy spot. The tub is a great pick, and my goodness that beautiful dining room! I am so excited and happy for you and Dan! Very excited to see what you do with your office and with the spare room.

That fireplace area looks like it’ll look so nice when finished! We have one in our house with the shelving beside the tv and fireplace and it looks amazing, especially during holiday season when you can hang stockings and stuff (I also adore the pink room)

I love those trees, someone in my neighborhood has one and I’ve been meaning to look it up and plant one in my yard because I love how it looks when it flowers but since it only look that pretty once a year I keep forgetting 😅.
You could turn the attached room to the guest room into a little sitting room with a pull out bed in case of multiple guests

i have been watching her since she was 16 and i was 11, and now she's married and bought a house. i remember back when she would tell us about how horrible high school was and how she just wanted to graduate and now shes here and im just so proud. love u kayla
