Aah yes, the Indian guy. Every programmers second solution after stack.
Who was it tho?

And his stupid smile thinking it's an array question. 😂

His voice is deeper than Binary Tree
skewed Binary tree
LOOOL idt it’s that deep tbh
Pasting in the solution and complimenting yourself was more relatable than it should be 😂
2:07 the person being an Indian is the most realistic part
😂
It usually comes with intense reverb because he’s using his internal laptop mic
@@Loachie90 the voice and accent is truly Indian
The leet code part is EXACTLY on point, do some stuff that almost works, check the discussion section after 5 minutes, say « yeah that basically what i was planning to do (no) » then copy paste
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Spot on😂😂😂😂😂
1:58 SO FREAKING RELATABLE 😭🤣🤣Whenever I don't get a question under 2 min, I jump straight into discussion section 😂
It’s so hard to resist not looking 😂
@@nicholast Ikr😂
I would try for hours until I finally come up with a solution. After I’ll analyze more optimal approaches.
@RBT-000 same, I love the mental struggle. Getting a solution without a complete understanding of why it works is a very bad habit.
Bruh also i faced this exact shit like couple of days ago , i was interviewing with linkedin and they asked a question that i had seen but didn't bother to solve or understand and kaboom, rejected lmao 😂
Being someone who has gone through the FAANG interview grind a few months ago, this video is giving me both laughs and PTSD at the same time!
2:03 For anyone interested: The code basically indexes the tree in pre-order as if it was a full tree. It records the index of the left-most node at each depth in the List, and then compute the current width by subtracting the index of left-most node at the same depth from that of the current node’s.
Lmao
“My name is nick..”
“:D”
“...son”
“D:”
Baited LOL
If coding doesn't work out, you could really do radio, that's a smooth voice
haha thanks!
2:30 the pause between "oh hey" and saying your name, so accurate lmao
"sorry I was late I was just outside" I absolutely lost it at this line lmao
As a music guy, I have no idea what you're talking about, but I love this style of humour. :D My brother's studying compsci and I have no idea what he does either, so I had to show it to him XD
I am both.. lol.. Feels like singing but then you remember you gatta code!!! But then ends up singing anyway lol
Hahaha thanks :)
But nevertheless I've got a good feeling about this interview. I mean, you and the interviewer have the same poster, I am sure this has a positive impact on how he thinks about you!
HAHA yep
I went to school for aerospace engineering and worked as an AE for about 4-5 years.
I am now a software engineer with crazy strong sense of imposter syndrome lol. During that time as an AE (and now) I have been trying to teach myself data structures and algorithms to stay competitive and this video is exactly relatable lol
Cheers to everyone, looking forward to seeing you guys succeed!
Oh shit, I didn't think I would see a classmate on this video. I just recently made the switch, and been tryna get through them interviews haha. AE classes with mertz didn't prepare us for this at all.😂😂😂
@@OnePanda73 bro! I see you on some software channels ;)
(It's the move)
Why did you leave AE for software engineering?
why leave AE
@@louisuchihatm2556 the biggest reason is I felt trapped in the aerospace industry. If there were layoffs or anything, I would most likely have to uproot my life and family and move to another state.
Also, I just find tech way more interesting than rockets lol
You are epic and the content is soooooo relatable 😂😂😂 I'm relieved to know that I'm not the only one who's feeling like this while coding!
thanks :)
It's scary at how much I can relate to this video, especially the studying part
My brain fuse was blown while listening to that solution to the array problem. Then, I played back the video again and realised I had done the same problem few months ago. LOL. The jargon is maddening. 😂😂😂
Just did the same thing today. Feeling better after watching this video. Thanks Nick.
The hash map thing was about to kill my interview. I watched the first part a day prior to the interview and that stuck to my head, and I couldn't find a solution for some time because my mind kept going to the hash map. Then I figured the trick out.
Hahahaha
@@User36282 that wasn't a joke. It actually happened with me
Did you pass?
@@hil449 thankfully i did. I did better on the remaining questions
@@hil449 btw the problem was:
If i had an array of size 9 that has number between 1 and 10 not repeated, how can i find the missing number?
I know nothing about coding, but ur videos give me a good laugh. I’m really enjoying it, keep up the great work!
thanks, glad you enjoy them :)
This indian guy killed me. So relatable xD
it’s so True 😂 every time when I’m stuck on leetcode I watch some video to understand the approach and it’s always some Indian guys video but hey they really explain stuff very well 🤪
I didn’t expect this random video to be this fun!
Thanks for honouring Big Time Rush music at the end!
Your video + BTR = made my day :)
Glad you enjoyed :)
Love these "Be like" Series😂
Love making them
The part where you stopped to draw some examples to understand the problem instead of just coding it all right away actually came as a relief. Means that its expected to find it hard to undertand.
I mean, the hashmap question in the previous video made me be like "whaaaat"
The channel keeps growing and the videos keep getting better and better. Gotta love it.
:)
I just completed the Google IT support certification on Coursera and all these leetcode videos appeared on CZcams the same day. Now I'm watching all these videos and taking notes. I feel like I accomplished one thing only to see that I still have a long road to travel still. 🛣️
I am really enjoying (and relating) to your video, keep them coming!
Thanks :)
why in the hell of interviews I am enjoying your videos so much! I can relate and how I am ending up with the surprises at the end and how you tell yourself in the begining you are gonna fail anyways ...hilarious!! So me these days!! :D
me, an education major, watching this like i have any clue what he’s talking about: ☺️☺️🕺🏽
That Kadane's algorithm part is epic! 😛
Watching your video is really relaxing. Nice content!!
thanks!
This is exactly what my reaction is when interviewer says, "lets move on to next question"
I'm preparing for an interview and this hits so close to home.
How did it go
I will absolutely join your discord this content is gold.

Great man waiting for the next video 👌
Awesome content bro! Loving it! 🖖😎

Bruh this is literally reality.
Nicholas' is master of the backhand encouragement. Every Comp Sci roommate
LMAO that pause to check your name
FaceZon what... Lol, that was catchy. Love the video..
I spit my water out at the cut and paste. Thanks for that.
I love these vids, keep it up
Same. My question was given the roots of two binary trees find if the smaller tree is within the larger tree… interviewer considered below the smaller tree could be part of the larger tree & still contain the smaller tree…I forgot to.
I actually went to that problem on LeetCode after seeing this video and was unable to solve it. The solution I came up with passed about 70 test cases but then TLE'd. The solution I read was pretty ingenious. I wouldn't have thought of it myself.
You made me laugh on the recursion part
I need a friend like Nicholas , the interview saver 😂😂
He’s a real one
Crazy channel growth!

That peek at your name by Nick-Son tho 🥲
Halfway through this video, but it is so accurate to my experience right now..haha
LMAO at the end cause the exact same thing happened to me during my meta interview. I saw the question the day before my interview and I did not deeply study it.
Ngl I laughed my ass off on the last part about the 2nd question.
I didn't even understand the array question and your solution 😅
😂😂😂😂 I imangined the “everybody hatessss chris” theme song playing in the background at the end
3:38 does not work for all-negative arrays tho.

Interviewer: "Nick, the problem is this: the array has a maximum subroutine of array times the nth power of the maximum and minimum array iteration. How do we check for indices variants in the array iteration subroutine?"
Nick: *Ha! This is easy*
Fuckin wut? Jesus christ I'm doing the wrong degree lmfao
🤣🤣🤣 ikr? What is this sorcery? Im learning HTML, CSS, possibly JavaScript (self learn) and I'm pretty sure I won't have to worry about that stroke of a sentence. lol.
dont forget clutching a problem in an interview that you pushed off learning on leetcode
Haha you should check out the “Coding Interviews Be Like” vid on my channel 😉
what does clutching mean?
@@blasttrash it means, that you know how to solve the problem, like the method, but you don't know how to implement it and write it in form of a code. So you somehow brainstorm and successfully code it in an interview and get the desired output. It's like studying in your head while you are giving an exam.
@@blasttrash It means succeeding at something when you either have not practiced it, or have very little time left to complete it.
@@blasttrash Last-minute, unexpected success.
OK I thought I was stupid but seeing a Waterloo student struggle makes me feel better about myself 😂
Not to brag, but tree problems, you somehow make it through (especially binary tree problems). It's the graph ones that are super hardcore.
Exactly!! 💯
sounds about right honestly. this is legit.
100% accurate with the interviewer always being late
* be a software engineer for 16+ years
* be promoted to a team leading position for some mission critical software applications
* be unwinding in CZcams after the first day's work in a new sprint
* be watching the video and the problems displayed
* be figuring out I can't even understand the first problem
